Hey All!
I did not see any threads with these downloads/instructions so I figured I would start one up now with root around the corner!
This thread will be the go to thread for anything related to the Galaxy S6 Edge (VZW.) It will include stock ODIN tar files, debloat tools, firmware files and links to other tools that work with our device such as Flashfire or Multisystem once they are out. I will also be creating and developing my own ROM which will also be linked here (will also have it's own thread in the Android Development thread.)
Included in this first post will be instructions for various processes as well as any tools that are required for most functions such as ODIN, device drivers etc.
PS: I am currently downloading the stock tar file for OC3 for the Verizon S6 Edge and I will then upload it to AFH for others to have access to. I will also be creating a ROM from the TAR file so hopefully as soon as root is available and multisystem/flashfire I will post the process and we will have a ROM ready to roll!
Tools/Necessities:
1) Samsung Smart Switch (replaces KIES, use this to backup+restore data etc.)
2) Samsung Mobile Drivers
3) ODIN
ODIN Flashing Instructions:
1) Ensure drivers are installed and ODIN is installed
2) Download the .tar files you wish to use to the PC (If they are in .zip format, just unzip them to get to the .tar or .tar.md5 file/s inside.)
3) Backup all data using the PC if you need to (if flashing a full ODIN tar, it typically wipes the entire system on the device. If just flashing firmware only it typically does not wipe system but a backup is always recommended.)
4) From powered off device, hold the Home + Volume Down + Power button until the "Download Mode" screen appears
5) Once the screen is on, press Volume Up to enter Download Mode
6) Open ODIN on the PC and Press the AP slot and navigate to and select the .tar file you are going to be flashing
7) Connect the device after ODIN checks the .tar file and once the device is recognized press Start in ODIN. (DO NOT UNPLUG DEVICE DURING THE ODIN FLASH.)
Download links will be in Post 2!

Trying to reinstall firmware through Smart Switch.... messed up my system permissions by accident and now it is not booting past splash screen. I can handle it with ODIN, but in the meantime while downloading the .TAR I was messing around in Smart Switch and it gives an "Unsupported Device" message when i connect my Verizon S6 Edge.
Both Kies3 and the SmartSwitch.exe included in this post give same "Unsupported Device."
Anyone have any suggestions as to what PC client I am suppose to be using? Really just asking out of curiousity at this point.....ODIN files are almost done downloading.

And OF COURSE, THANK YOU OP! Awesome collection of info and files here. Thanks for the hard work!

its probably not recognizing it because partition/system is messed up..
i have the vzw s6 edge pit file if you need it but it is also in the full odin tar.. i recommend once you have everything up and running you use smartswitch to backup your phone.. it backed up everything imcluding my text messages for me so when i used it to retrieve the stock tar it restored everything right back!

Trying to Odin back to factory. I've got a 128GB edge. When I start the flash it hangs on "Partition". Do I need to check the "re-partition" button in Odin. If so, do the PIT files change between the different sizes of the phones?

its possible pit file is different.. what version odin you using? if 10 doesnt work try the 3.9 odin
Sent from my SM-G925V using XDA Free mobile app
I tried both odin 9 and 10 (same result). finally clicked the "re-partition" button in 10 and the reload took fine. i just checked the phone and it shows 128gb. currently going thru a restore, will post more info as i find it.
Have you tested the tar file in odin?

yes actually lol. few times trying to get my rom to flassh with flashfire.. apparently flashfire wont flash full rom.zips without a custom recovery (at least i cant figure it out.) other simple zips work however..
but i did use it at least 3 times lol. first time had a bit of trouble but if i select anything but auto reboot it would fail so only selecting auto reboot in odin it flashes for me each time
Sent from my SM-G925V using XDA Free mobile app
also to add, the tar file is the exact same tar that smart switch downloaded and is literally untouched.. it was already in the exact format and name and everything and i simply uploaded it without doing anything to it

The supplied tar file worked for me yesterday when I inadvertently removed a system file I shouldn't have after rooting.. Got me back to stock, re-rooted and I was good to go..
Used the Odin and tar files attached here without any problems.
Any way to quickly unRoot without ODIN flash stock TAR?
Anyone know how to just restore the system.img? As opposed to a full system wipe that is contained in this tar file? Folks have posted both "wipe" and "no wipe" versions from previous Galaxy SX versions.
thanks.

to my knowledge i do not think its possible to edit the tar file since we have a locked BL we xan only flash md5 verified tars...
the ones in past could have been an update.tar.. for example when we get a update can use smartswitch to download the update.tar which wont wipe because its an upgrade vs. a full odin recovery tar

You guys notice how many freakin Knox apks are in here? Both in system and priv-apps ... pretty crazy stuff. I've got a few small utilities in the works that I should have finished by the weekend (UI tweaks, etc) .. but I'll leave the ROM building to those more capable.
Still can't believe how quickly we got root... those poor souls with Note 4s have been waiting forever.

Quick question.
Maybe I'm missing something, but I see two versions floating around. In the ping pong thread, and on my device, I see G925VVRU1AOC3, and here I see G925VVZW1AOC3. Can you clarify this for me? Thanks.

hello,
i know creating a new thread isnt the nicest thing but my note isnt responding and im sweating badly
i have also posted this under the thread with the call recording mod but doing this here for faster response
i was running speedmod kernel k3-13 with stock 4.0.4
in the day to update by phone via ota reverted to stock kernel, still the update failed so reverted back to speedmod.
everything was working fine till then
sometime back thought of trying the call recording mod...
deleted the 2 files mentioned and then flashed the zip via recovery
after the reboot network gone, touch screen working intermittently and baseband version to unknown.
will flashing this rom via pc odin help? i dont have mobile odin
N7000DDLPA---4.0.3/12.06---N7000ODDLP5---Download--- India
i might have also done some stupid thing that i dont remember but i guess above mentioned is all what i did.
please help
thanks and regards
sujai
Just replied to call recording thread
Again writing steps here wait
Get root explorer
Put device in flight mode
Extract recording zip file
You will find two folder appl and lib in system folder
Now copy files in lib folder to system/lib
And appl files to system/app
Change permission. To rw-r-r
Delete phone. Odex and phone utility. Odex. From system/app folder

thanks doc for the blazing fast reply but had taken out the battery and was waiting for reply
now the touch screen wont work, it just stays on the home screen...thats it
i cannot go any further, no option works
please note that the phone is showing baseband version as unknown (saw it when the screen was working earlier)
and
there is no network aswell.
thanks doc, hoping for a solution.
even if i have to loose all my data to restore phone to factory rom and kernel, im okay with it. but just want my note to come to life.
Restart device and just try pressing power button and if you get option to flight mode, it should work for further procedure as I have mentioned.
If you finish as I suggest then you will get everything working with record mod too.
If you are unable to handle then just put device in Download mode and reflash modem with pc Odin it should work, in last resort just reflashed rom otherwise, neither method will wipe your data.
Just need patience, don't be panic this is little issue.

just flash the stock rom again using pc Odin to get back to original state
Sent from my GT-N7000 using xda premium
dear doc and nokiamodeln91,
pressing the power button does take it to airplane mode but then the phone does not get recognized by computer when i connect it.
so i would want to flash stock ROM straight away and just need a clarification. Ill put the phone in download mode, connect it to pc odin.
and then click the phone tab or the PDA tab?
will flashing this ROM - (N7000DDLPA---4.0.3/12.06---N7000ODDLP5) get me back to stock ROM and kernel?
afterwards i can always update it via OTA to the latest ROM and then put speedmod k3-13 kernel back, right?
will do as you say and report back. any other thing i should keep in mind while doing this?
thanks a ton for the help
regards
sujai
If you put ROM file for Phone, then it should work too. It will just replace your Modem, which is corrupted right now.
If it doesn't work then use it for PDA, it will replace full ROM and that will work sure.
a billion thanks doc for helping out!! though it failed in phone mode...worked in PDA mode and best thing is that i have all my data aswell.
thanks a ton and respect to you!!

glad to know you recovered it, basically it was not a big issue, just bad flashing
Now if you want to recording MOD, don't flash zip but just copy files manually in flight mode.

your help has given me so much of confidence that everything seems so cool to do.

yes that happens to the apps moved to SD card.. restore them using TB or reinstall them
and as dr ketan mentioned.. on the new twhome launcher... the apps moved to SD card will not stay where to fixed in (folders etc)..
No need to restore with TB/Reinstall
Just go to setting - Application - Apl on SD
And appl which are on SD card will have option to move to phone, move from there and that will be sufficient.
yes doc did that yesterday and its all cool!! call recording and transparent weather widget also working great!! all thanks to you!!
are you trying to find out a way for apps to display icons even when they are moved to card?
No, I think it can be solved by new launcher only, hope next update we shall get it fixed

First, a HUGE thanks goes @garwynn for being my partner through all of this and then to @sfhub (for teaching me how to create Odin One-Click.exe files and creating the original thread I'm using as a template for this one), @agat63 (for helping me get the hang of what sfhub started teaching me), @MoHoGalore for helping test and put together so many of these one-clicks and to everyone else in our community who makes this possible!
This Odin One-Click.exe contains the Stock MF9 Bootloader, Kernel, Modem and ROM for the Sprint Samsung Galaxy S4 (SPH-L720).
There has been no change to the ROM from the initial build released by Samsung.
This will NOT trigger the Yellow Triangle NOR will it increment the Odin flash count.
This one-click resets your whole phone to the stock MF9 experience, similar to a factory restore and it will wipe all data.
Instructions:
1: Backup anything important and Disable any PINs.
During this process your phone's software will be returned to the Stock setup. All system data will be lost. To be safe, it is best to archive your backup off your phone, ie on your PC or Dropbox.
2: Install Samsung USB/Android drivers (if necessary).
Samsung Drivers Download Link
3: Download the MF9 Stock ROM One-Click.
SPH-L720_MF9_Stock_Factory_Restore(compressed archive).exe (Resets user data)
4: Unzip One-Click ROM using 7zip (this package is a self-extracting exe you should just be able to double-click on it after download and it will do the rest).
5: Start the Odin One-Click.
Navigate to the location where the SPH-L720_MF9_Stock_Factory_Restore.exe was saved upon extract from the 7Zip archive.
Double-click on SPH-L720_MF9_Stock_Factory_Restore.exe. *On Vista or newer, you may need to right-click on the file and Run as Administrator.
6: Place phone in Download Mode.
- Power phone completely off.
- Press and hold Volume Down, Home and Power buttons, all at the same time.
- Release the buttons only when the ‘Warning!!’ message appears.
- Press [Volume Up] to enter Download mode.
7: Connect USB cable to PC and phone.
Odin should show a yellow COM port in the second column. If you do not see a yellow COM port, you may need to run the Odin One-Click as Administrator and/or unplug/plugin the USB cable after starting Odin One-Click.
8: Start Odin flash process.
Press [Start].
9: Complete - PASS!
Status should change to green PASS! At this point your phone should automatically reboot.
Android Instructions:
Download and install ZArchiver on your phone. Use it to unpack the Odin One-Click 7zip self-extracting exe file (long press on the 7zip exe. Select "Open As Archive". Select the One-Click.exe and then select Extract). Use Mobile Odin to Open File the SPH-L720_MF9_Stock_Factory_Restore.exe. FYI - Modem will not flash with Mobile Odin.
The boot process will take slightly longer than usual during which time you'll see the Sprint 4G logo screen.
Congratulations! You've flashed the Factory Restore MF9 build!

It can be touchy at times but it does work. Also found that if I go to an older stock then OTA up, it resets. Some have had the same experience, some haven't on the latter method. If I ever want to be 100% sure, I do both; TA first, then Odin an old stock and OTA up. Had to do that once for factory repair.
Quick question. I know sometimes going back to complete stock doesn't change the binary and system status to official. Has anyone had issues with that on this one click?
Just trying to prepare for the ota next week.

Question for ya @rwilco12
Will flashing this allow me to take the OTA that comes out supposedly in 2 days? Or should I go back to MDL and take the OTA to MF9, then wait for the new OTA?
So if I use mobile odin it stats in the op that the modem will not flash do I have to manually flash one or will it just remain MF9 im a noob on Sammy devices

You can use that to get the new ota thats coming out
Updated for NAE. When the NAE tar.md5 comes out you can just flash it directly rather than doing all this.
This will update everything (firmware, modem, bootloader, ROM, recovery, etc) to NAE. As long as you're coming from stock or mostly stock, this should work, and you will still have all your data and apps. It will also probably work coming from another MF9, MJA, or MK2 based ROM, but you may have problems (in which case you can just wipe data. The whole process should take less than 30 minutes, not counting the time it takes to download the stock tar.md5 image. I recommend starting it now (link in Step 2) so it will be ready when you need it. This will NOT work if you've already tried to take the NAE OTA and it failed because you weren't fully stock.
You will need odin. It can be downloaded from this thread. Alternatively, if you're using OS X or Linux, I found that Heimdall works very well in place of odin. There are a few extra steps involved though, but if you install Heimdall Frontend then you don't have to mess with the terminal.
Step 1: Backup your current ROM with TWRP, CWM, or Philz.
Step 2: Download the MK2 tar.md5 from sammobile. Sammobile is pretty slow to download, but I found a mirror and a second mirror. I also made a torrent that might be faster (please seed if you use it to speed it up for everyone). Flashing this with odin does NOT wipe data. You can verify it by opening it in an a program that supports tar and looking at the files within it; those are the partitions it overwrites. This will give you stock MK2 recovery, bootloader, modem, firmware, and software.
Step 3: Use odin to flash it over your current ROM. To do this, you need to first put the phone into download mode. Power it off completely, then press and hold volume down, home, and power. Then connect it to your computer.
In odin, I just left default odin settings checked. Make sure that you add the tar.md5 in the PDA slot and apply it. Reboot and verify that your data is all there. You can still easily revert to the backup you made in Step 1 if things aren't right.
Step 4: Put the MK2 to NAE OTA on your external sd card (not internal). You don't need to rename it.
Power the phone off completely. Then press and hold home, volume up, and power to get into stock recovery. Navigate to where you put the OTA zip on your external sd card and flash it. It will reboot a couple times during the update, including one time where it seems like it's booted up and done before it powers off again. You'll know it's done when you get a popup notification saying it completed successfully. All your data and apps should still be there.
Note: From this point on, performing any of these steps will set the Knox flag. So if you just purchased the phone (within your return window) or are having issues and may need a replacement, you may want hold off on root. Sprint may or may not check for this during a warranty replacement. Insurance replacements should be fine.
Step 5: Go back into download mode and flash CF Auto Root through odin. You should now have root, and knox will not complain. You'll need to re-download the SuperSU app from the Play Store though. Open the app and let it update the su binary to the newest version.
Step 6: Flash TWRP (or CWM or Philz) through odin (it didn't work for me with goo manager). Optionally reboot into recovery to make sure it actually stuck.

The whole process should take less than 30 minutes. It will NOT work if you've already tried to take the MJA OTA and it failed.
Step 1: Backup your current ROM with TWRP, CWM, or another recovery.
Step 2: Download the MF9 tar.md5 from sammobile (here is a fast mirror: http://goo.gl/gky86G, sourced from here). This one does NOT wipe data. You can verify it by opening it in an a program that supports tar and looking at the files within it; those are the partitions it overwrites.

It seems that with all the issues with the new firmware, that it's actually worth the trouble to do it the "official" way to make sure it works, especially since it's trivial to get root back. Follow these steps and you should be fine.
NOTE: For those who want to wipe data anyway (or have to because they're having problems), Titanium Backup is currently not working properly with MJA. The workaround is to manually install your apps from the Play Store and then restore just the data from Titanium Backup. Restoring the apps themselves through Titanium Backup causes problems at the moment.

You WILL Knox Warranty Void with this method.
Is there a workaround for tripping Knox?
Not yet. A method will probably be developed, but it will involve flashing a custom kernel that doesn't require the new bootloader. The version of MJA would have to have this kernel included. The stock kernel seems to not boot without the new bootloader. You will have to keep using a custom kernel from that point onward.

For those of us new to Odin, can we get a screenshot of what should and shouldn't be checked?
Edit: Nothing NEEDS to be checked.
Checking Auto Reboot does just that, but doesn't seem to work for me.
Checking R.Flash Time resets a counter, not a big deal, either.
The rest uncheck.
Anyways, that all worked. I tried combining the Odin'ing of CF Root and recovery, until I saw that the CF-Auto-Root restores the old recovery as one of the steps...
with this method do we get the mja modem?
if the option available to go back to aosp 4.3 if we dont like it? 4.2 tw?

To be more specific, where is the OTA downloaded to?
I would like help with the file location also. Thanks.
FOUND IT in the Cache folder. You must allow root permissions in your file explorer.
Can I follow these steps if I have TWRP instead of stock recovery?
Also, what update for to apply?
After reading in this forum, non stop since Oct. 28, I took the plunge and did the dirty deed late last night with the downloadable OTA, after restoring to stock.
I woke up this morning and the Keebler elves hooked me up. I was fully rooted and all I had to do was reinstall Clockwork.
Mobile ODIN and SuperUser's Keep root are what's happening.
I have been looking for any glitches this morning but this thing runs perfect. I did see a security warning once that I assume is the Knox thingy I read so much about. Other than that, I'm gravy.
Now, can someone remind me why I upgraded?
I mean, what did I gain by leaping to 4.3? Is there something under the hood I ain't seeing?

Here's a link to the update zip directly from Google's servers: http://android.clients.google.com/p...CSB_user_RP_to_MJA_CSB_user_RP_Update_FWD.zip
You don't have to rename it, just put it on your external SD card and navigate to it in the stock recovery.

Just leave the default checked, and it will be fine. The only one that really matters is that re-partion is NOT checked.

Yes, you get the MJA modem as well. I believe AOSP 4.3 works fine with the new modem and bootloader, but I haven't tried it.

The OTA won't apply with TWRP. Follow the steps and you'll get the stock recovery back when you odin to stock MF9. You can then update to TWRP after re-rooting.

Were you coming from stock rooted MF9? Losing wifi is a common problem with anyone who didn't fully take the OTA.
There is a wifi fix in this thread that supposedly will cleanly apply to the stock kernel as well as the custom kernel listed, but I haven't tried it http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=47030804&postcount=1638

This will give you stock MF9 recovery, bootloader, modem, firmware, and software.

I had to install this ROM twice via Odin3 to get stock recovery back.
This seems to be the only side affect of flashing to 4.3. I guess it's a Knox thing.
Is there a fix for this?

You could freeze the Knox apps (filter for them in titanium backup). I had no issues with knox until yesterday when I got a notification in the drawer when I used su (but su worked fine when this happened). I just froze all the apps with knox in the name and it's been fine since.
Also, there's a check box somewhere in the Android settings to tell it not to update the Knox list. I unchecked that as well.

stuck on yellow Sprint Boot Screen after step 3
Help......after running step 3 and using odin I am stuck on the yellow sprint boot screen.
Any Ideas on what to do from here?
Here is how I fixed it for the 900A AT&T version
I was getting fail errors on the stock tar.md5 from samsung through odin in download mode it just would not take, I tried 4 different computers, different cables, different usb ports...
The following is how I got mine to be back up and running properly:
You will need 2 files which I will provide a spam free link to and a little bit of time..
Odin 3.09 link
http://www.mediafire.com/download/ek5xezg23hm059k/Odin3_v3.09.zip
Firmware for 900A link
http://www.mediafire.com/download/7np57282x5on1h1/SM-G900A_4.4.2_Firmware.rar
Download the above files
extract the files
you will end up with 4 files
starting with
BL
AP
CP
CSC
boot your phone into download mode
Hold volume down
hold home button
press power button
then hit volume up to continue
Now connect your phone to the pc
extract and open odin
Open odin 3.09
if it detects your phone it will show a com port lit up now you are good to go.
in odin 3.09
make sure auto reboot is checked
and F.reset Time
NO NEED FOR THE BL file at this time with our locked bootloaderin the bl tab Leave blank
Do not load the bl file as of yet we have a locked bootloader and it wont flash
pick the ap and then the ap file you downloaded
pick the cp tab and the cp file
then the same for the csc file
make sure all tabs are checked
the AP file will take over a minute to load dont get nervous odin has to load it into itself..
once all 3 are in their respective tabs and checked click start and that is it
in about 6 minutes you will boot back up to a stock galaxy s5 for att
Did you delete the systems Launcher while in your overboard state?
I use xposed etc.. My ultra power mode turns into emergency mode. At least that what it says. It works too. It also gives me an option to select a launcher, and people are deleting that launcher (if hat makes any since)
I think your fine to use those apps man.
Thanks for this. I was freezing apps in TB and rebooted periodically to check stability. It got stuck on the AT&T screen. This got me back up with just updating the AP file.
Fortunately, I did a full backup in TB before screwing around. Now I need to figure out what did it. Too bad there isn't a safe-to-freeze list somewhere.

this file may fail,it did for me many times with errors.
I was back to square 1 the same as I was with the samsung firmware I downloaded directly from samsung....
Don't give up yet..
close out odin
restart in download mode as above and then reconnect phone
pick only the ap and then the ap file you downloaded
click start it should work
let phone boot up
shut down the phone and back into download mode this time pick the cp tab and the cp file
do this and reboot one more time
then the same for the csc file
I had to do these all separately to get them all to work
I also was unable to get the bl file to work no matter what
But my phone is back up and running
This time
I did not install xposed, or youtube ad blocker, or gravity box.
I did uninstall all of the AT&T branded **** and tested ultra power saving mode after each one.
So far so good.

This is similar to what I ended up doing but I loaded all files minus BL file. It worked perfectly with out rebooting and going back into odin to flash everything one by one.
This is just a guess based on what i've read about the problem, but it makes sense to me. The UPS mode uses the most basic functions, and that launcher.apk is probably designed to be a basic launcher specifically for UPS mode. If it's frozen or removed, UPS can't load properly, and thus can't boot/be turned off. Make sense? I'm about to install xposed and mod everything so I'm trying to sort out all the bugs people are having. Anyone with the UPS brick, did you come to any conclusions about who had what disabled/installed?
Yes confirmed to be a launcher issue. Don't delete the launcher, I am back up with xposed, gravity box, YouTube ad blocker, and all the AT&T crop removed as well as Google games, news stand, music, gone
I need to do this... I tried enabling Download Mode with the thread here in the general section and now my camera and browser do not work... does it matter if I took the update a few weeks ago? Baseband/bootloader matter?

For the download booster, yes it does matter. You must be on the previous firmware and modem for the download booster to work. You cannot change the bootloader right now, as it is locked down tight. The download booster will work, but it's not 100% stable right now. My gps did not work, but some may not see any problems at all.
My s5 is rooted. No problems at all with ultra power mode.

Right now I'm not concerned with getting the download booster to work, only with getting my camera and browser back. So if I understand correctly, I can use this method to downgrade regardless of the bootloader version, and the browser and camera will then work, correct?

Yes, everything will work, plus you can always OTA afterwards so that all firmware versions match with the bootloader again.

This is being discussed in about four different threads.
1. Use the search button first.
2. Do not go crazy deleting and uninstalling apks just because you have root. With great power comes great responsibility.
3. DO NOT UNINSTALL any system core apps. Launcher, keyboard, etc.... It will cause the system to soft brick every single time.
UPS mode is like safe mode on a computer. It only loads the core files needed to run. That's how its able to conserve power. Now if you delete or freeze those files...it has nothing to load when it boots back up. Thus for the hanging and bootlooping etc.
I am running towel root and wanam and a few other root apps and I can boot into UPS mode just fine because I just removed the att bloat. Just pay attention when your digging through titanium back up and everything is gravy.

Perfectly said. I agree 100%
Okay so I was checking on my tb to check what were frozen, and I saw that my launcher 1.0 was already frozen but I dont remember freezing it. I defrosted it and I want to make sure UPS works. Now that's its defrosted can i go into UPS and wont be stuck on At&t logo? I also uninstalled all the at&t and google bloatware. I froze the samsung stuff though, such as the Isis wallet and the printer plugin just in case.

If it's frozen your good. Just make sure it's not deleted. And I would just leave it untouched. Make sure all the core apps...launcher, keyboard, etc are not touched and you should be gravy

No, it'll never work.
I am having no luck flashing anything thru odin. After extracting all the files, the AP file md5 check fails every time. Odin will not take file. Stuck on "firmware upgrede encountered a problem. Please select recovery mode in kies and try again". Also, I can only boot into download mode and CANNOT boot into recovery mode. Any help is appreciated.
Do not flash BL file (bootloader) and you should be good to go.

Hello everyone,
I have an SM N900A on 4.4.2 and it's running DynamicKat6.1. That being said, I had hoped to come back and see an easy way to get my phone basically back to stock. I had anticipated using the older method using Heimdall but it seems that doesn't work anymore, and so I have kind of come to a loss. I don't know if it's possible for me to get back to my stock MJ5? Or if there is some other way I can achieve a stock setting just so I can ease my way back into exploring my devices capabilities again? If so please let me know what you all think.
Look in the general section. They have Odin flash able tar files there. 4.4.2 4.4.4 and 5.0. But before you so. If you want to root. Do research.

Thank you for that advice. I have downloaded the flashable files and odin 3.10.6 but I have gotten errors trying to use both the all in one, and the other file set. Is there a guide to this that I am missing? I am currently looking into it more but any assistance is greatly appreciated.
Use Odin 3.0.7. And of you down the all.in one home tar file. Open Odin click on pda. And search for the tar file add then press start. Also phone must be in download mode. Turn phone off. Hold home power and down volume button. It will.pop up

After following your advice, my phone seems to be stuck in a constant restart loop, and can't do anything when I make it to the home screen. I will have to look into this, but in the meantime if anyone has any ideas, please let me know.
Edit: After flashing the wipe set of files, I was able to get the phone in working order. Thanks for all the input
Welcome man. Sorry I forgot to tell you after flash using Odin boot into recovery and wipe data. My bad. Glad to hear you got your phone up and running
