So I've got something weird going on with my nexus: a lot of times when there is an approve/disapprove option box (like the picture) I cannot tap the ok button. This happens all the time when enabling a accessibility option or when trying to grant a root privilege. Odd thing is if I connect an input device and do it that way it works no problem. Please help me fix this problem

turn show touches on in developer mode and see if it is a bad spot in your touchscreen unlikely but easy to check
Maybe you've got an app that puts an overlay over everything. Such as a screen dimmer, or screen colour changer. Android has built in security to prevent overlays being able to press buttons.
You can actually turn that off in SuperSU somewhere, but that won't work for accessibility.
Touches were there but yeah it turns out PIC was causing it. Thanks

Anyone that understand how to use this text-field gesture? Have been tapping all over the phone, but nothing happens
I'm used to the trackball from HTC Hero and Desire, that is a missing feature in this phone, and was so exited when I found this gesture.
But my happiness didn't last for long. Haha.
(Yeah, I know the mentioned gesture is disabled in the picture.........)

Okei. This is a LG Keyboard feature. When uninstalled the Gingerbread keyboard, it suddenly works.

really? :-( So it means that we have to chose between voiceimput ability of android keyboard and gesture ability of LGs one? :-( Sad
I hope that I would be able to move cursor quickly with my fingertips...
What gesture do you mean? The first one?
Just tap on the sides of your phone, not screen.

When it comes to that its also working on Swiftkey; Maybe it was the Gingerbread Keyboard only that ****ed up this feature?

Thanks.... It was what I was afraid of... I had to do that to get 4.2.1 working... :'( oh well... Now is when I wish I was routed and had a system backup, I guess there is no point now as I'll just back up this issue..

AW: Can't access Nexus 7 settings post OTA 4.2.2 Update
You could use carbon to back up your apps and settings. Just don't back up any system data. You don't need root for that.
Problem solved.... Google sent me a replacement... Not what I was expecting after 9 months with my prior device... Great service, but leaves me thinking they're aware of the issue hence their prompted and un-solicited suggestion of a replacement... Happy!!

I have used go launcher for the past few years. So naturally I installed that fist thing when I got my turbo today. But the menu button the the 3 dots stays on the screen at all times. So it blocks the bottom icons and app drawer. Anyone else have this issue. Is there a way to fix this?

Should, but I don't have that option in my go launcher. Do we have different versions? I'm on v5.09.
That was the trick it worked fine. It's not in the go launcher settings its in the system settings.

So I'm having to do this from my Note 4...
When I long press the multitasking button, which used to be my way of getting to the XDA menu on the note 4, on the 5 it comes up with... you guessed it, multitasking!
So how do I get to the XDA menu to add a new thread, or reply etc???

It was changed in S6 duo. Now you have to press and hold back key for that purpose ...
When I don that it simply goes back 2 steps. Any ideas anyone? Is it working for you?

You need to hold the back key for about 2 seconds.

When I hold the back key for 2 secs it jumps back 2 steps out of the thread and out of the forum. It does show a menu, but not the right one. I never get to open the correct menu!
Does anyone with a 5, not another device, have this working?
