IN call Volume

Is there any way to fix the low in-call volume of our lovely w8/x8.....I think it was tweaked well for ICS and Jelly Bean and i felt the in call volume is better on ICS and Jelly bean....than on GB ROM... can this feature be ported from Jelly bean/ICS to GB ROMs?

I feel that CM 9 is sluggish..... scrolling sucks on CM 9....
So is there any alternative?

It does increases the volume of the speaker.... but in-call volume remains the same.....

It only increases the volume of the back speaker but in-call speaker's volume remains the same.....Hope to c a fix or a tweak increase the in-call volume...

Really embarrassed to give my phone to my friends and family....they always complain of not hearing anything from the other side when the use my phone(x8/w8)...In call volume fix is a must....I hope some developer in this forum finds a fix...

It's been mentioned a few times that FroyoPro offers the best sound. So, this is what you can try:
· Download FroyoPro
· Open the zip file and navigate to /system/lib
· Extract libaudio.so
· In your phone navigate to /system/lib and rename libaudio.so to libaudio.so.bak
· Copy the file you got from FroyoPro
· Apply the same permissions from other files in the same directory
· Reboot
You should not have any problems booting into system. If audio is worse delete libaudio.so and rename libaudio.so.bak.

Can i try this process and port the libaudio from a jelly bean rom and run them on gingerbread? cuz i find incall volume better on some jelly bean roms...

Try flashing dehumanized megabass zip via cwm.Your sound experience should boost up

I think its made to improve the sound quality over headphones and the speaker... i dont think it will improve the in-call volume.. but i will try and reply back...:good:

You can try it. Less chances of it working tho.
For this, make a backup just in case.

I followed these steps to increase the INCALL volume for CM7 GB ROMS and it worked.
Gingerbread INCALL volume = ICS / JB incall volume
Follow the steps mentioned below.
1-Wipe data/factory reset
2-Wipe cache partion
3.Advanced>Wipe dalvik cache,Wipe battery stats
4.Mounts and storage>format /system -----------> This step is important ......... if this step is ignored, you will find LOW INCALL VOLUME
5.Install your custom Rom>install Zip from SD Card

[MOD] Increasing the volume in galaxy s4 Active i9295

This Mod can increase the volume in the phone to be louder...I modded the original files
by:
1- Replacing two files (snd_soc_msm_2x_Fusion3 ) and (snd_soc_msm_2x_Fusion3_auxpcm ) with my files
in the directory /system/etc/snd_soc_msm folder
2- Setting the correct permissions ,
* I used root explorer app
Reboot your phone and enjoy
Requirements:
you should have root

Is this only for speaker or headphones too. Are there any side effects (distortion for example) ? Is it possible to tweak only the speaker ? Headphone wise seems just fine to me.

Try it out :good:
You will notice the volume boost increase for sure, i can´t say how much but you will like it, already used it on my 4.3 month ago and it was perfect
If you do not like it you can allways return to Stock :good:

no, they will not reduce life of the speakers , if they do no distorsionate, and they do not distorsionate

If you want to change it on your own you have to change this :

edit it.
just keep your eye straight and edit the lines :
Path name speaker:
STOCK 81 -> MOD v.3 90
---------------------------------------------

I do not know if it will work,try it and if it does not work copy and overwrite the STOCK apk from your 9505
What must be sure is that your 9505 must have Snapdragon

Can you please be more explicit. I can`t find the lines that you mentioned in your anwer. So please tell me wich values do I have to change for the stereo headphones. Thank You!

Tried the mod on 4.4.2. No sound, everything that wanted to make a sound locked up the phone. Copied the backup original back to the phone, but the fault continued. Ended up having to reflash the rom.

Confirmed working. Levels not the same.
Had to flash it via recovery. the copy-paste didnt work for me.

Actually my XZ main speaker is damaged by water so my both speakers play equally will update it now.. thanks for pointing it out...

i got a problem.. Xperia Z 5.0.2.. i tried to insatll manually ..but after this..no sound and in walkman a music player nothing plays and the songs skiped and skiped raoud and around..

You should acknowledge Monivan's work for the stereo mod
His stereo mod's been around for half an year so you should at least give him credit for the hard work - it's a lot harder to find the settings in a SND_fusion file than it is in Mixer_paths. I've tested the first versions and it was a lot of work logging every type of output to make full stereo settings. So, give him some credit mate!

I whole heartly agree with this, as I was a beta tester for the sony stock rom version, and I know how much work he put into it.
A credit is the least the o.p could do. Z removal would be better, as l think its more of a duplicate.

Yes. I'm using the same ROM, and it works like a charm.

I flashed this through FlashFire and it said complete, and it booted successfully. However, I don't have viper installed or anything. I don't have headphones now so I can't really tell the difference.
Is this supposed to install viper at the same time?
Edit: phone calls don't have audio. I restored my build prop... Still not working properly.
Any way to restore back to stock?
