I know the Gear VR for the Note 4 comes with an included 16gb microsd card but does the model for the Galaxy S6 come with one? I'm reading up on the product manual, google etc but haven't found such yet.
Please confirm as I'm researching and batching movies etc for it prior to it being delivered tomorrow.
Thanks!
Edit: I don't see and expansion port on the gear vr. So no microsd card. Do all media have to be downloaded then?

Hi Everyone,
So I received my Note I ordered from a company in Vegas today. I think they imported it from Poland, it says samsung.pl on the box. Everywhere I have read indicates that the Note comes with a 2 gb micro SD card. Mine did not come with one preinstalled or anywhere in the box that I could find.
Anyone else in the same boat? Did yours come with the card? What country is yours from?
nope, no memory card in the box, just 16gb onboard storage.
no memory card in the box . ( UK )
Everywhere I've read so far says the Note comes with no bundled MicroSD card.
Anyways, why would you want a crappy free 2gb one anyways? I'd rather they not give me one as use my own 16gb class 10.
Mine was the polish model too.
Google samsung galaxy note "2 gb included" - someone probably included it in a press release and it spread like wildfire - then Samsung decided to not include it.
I'd want one because it's free. Better than nothing.
I'd probably end up buying a larger one anyway - was just curious if anyone received one with their phone.
I have two from different sources, no ext.SD card.
no memory card, enjoy the note
No way Jose for the SD Card

Giving the price of microsd card is cheap now. I suggest to get a 32Gb class 10. You won't regret it
I am thinking of picking up a Note. I was wondering if anybody had tried the new 64GB MicroSDXC cards with it. I know that the Galaxy II phones can read the card and I was hoping the note could as well.

I haven't tried one personally - I use a 32GB card. However there are reviews on the web that mention that the Note works fine with them, also others in forums here have used them.
Check this post.....

I have 64gb & it works fine. Just format it after installing.
Sent from my GT-N7000
Noticed some members said that the tab doesnt work properly with some SD cards. So I would like to ask first b4 i waste money into something that i cant use.
I need a SD card with minimum capacity of 64GB, 128GB would be nice. And the read/write speed need to as fast as possible(slightly faster than what the tab can do should be ok).
Please suggest me 1, and let me know what i should avoid too when picking, thanks.
Did loads of research before buying this one.
Good reviews for this card. Excellent price and works very well. Take AMAZON reviews with a pinch of salt as they dont always relate to the actual product!

This is the one I'm using:

Bought it in The Netherlands for € 90,-
Double the size, quadruple the price compared to the one ashyx is using.
First time had some problems transferring files from pc to Tab S, but after a format in the Tab S it's working perfect for the last three months.

Doh!:silly:
If the direction for Sammy devices is to get rid of cards (hope not- sucks IMO) the Gear VR should have a micro sd slot and a micro usb for OTG. This would enable content to not be stuck on the device to avoid content juggling. Would also be handy if the micro usb could charge the device as well, which should be no problem since an extension no different than a cable.
Heck, even if the card stays on the device in the future there should be a card slot and micro usb.
Totally agree, why it has to been stuck with another device for viewing my videos?
Also missing it badly on my superduper Note 5 (But only 32 GB).
Gave it a real try, but no ayy the OTG is passed through this external port.
I hope it can be done via an update of the Oculus software, but have little hopes.
BTW is there any Samsung phone, working with this Gear VR, who has place for an sd card?

I read today the upcoming Samsung S7 will have a memory card and it is including a free Gear VR and 64gb memory card, as well as $50 in free VR software.

If I opt to return the Note 7 and switch to a different phone, will they ask for the microSD card back as well?
No.
