Software Update - AT&T Samsung Galaxy S6

Don't know if this has already been posted, but a 235.96 MB update coming through now for AT&T Galaxy S6.

Waiting to see if it kills root, and if it fixes the ram problems

No change log just said there is an update. I am download it right now on my phone but it is painfully slow. I can't root due to work but hopefully this will help with RAM and battery drain.

Don't do the update it deleted all my porn and blocked all of the porn sites.

Same here as well. Since I am rooted and no WiFi ATM, not going to chance it later in order to lose root even if I can update.

Can anyone test if this update adds adjustable auto brightness like on the international models? On the international and other carrier models, you can adjust the brightness slider when auto brightness is enabled to change the auto brightness bias, but last I checked, trying to change the brightness slider while auto brightness is enabled on the AT&T model just disables auto brightness.

An update for the ATT S6 was released today with the following enhancements:
Battery performance enhancement
HD Voice enhancement
Screen enhancements
AT&T Message enhancement
Screen rotation enhancement
Power key press time from .5 sec to 1.5 sec.
Other various performance enhancements
Specifications:
Android version: 5.0.2
Baseband version: G920AUCU1AOE2
Kernel Version: 3.10.61-4823236 [email protected] #1 Sun May 3 00:35:28 KST 2015
Build Number: LRX22G.G925AUCU1AOE2

Hi all !
After one day usage! this is my review for KitKat 4.4.4 in our S III LTE International I9305!!!

Battery life isnt bad (18 hours without any tweaks or power saving tips! 3h4m on screen 3h wifi on)
Graphics are good! I noticed that the setting graphics are better than 4.3!
Now time for bad things!!
I noticed that Touchwiz launcher didnt change! It is the same as 4.1.2! I was hoping for note 3's or s5's touchwiz!!
No camera shortcut on locksceen!
Phone Browser Calculator are the same as 4.3!
No special features!
Q:Can I install S5's or note 4's TW without changing rom! And how can I root it! I tried CF-root and didn't work
In the endd! Thanks Samsung for updating our phone after long waiting! Untill android L
im still using stock 4.1.2 without root......now how can i update this 4.4......??
Happy to finally install 4.4.4 and rooted. I used CF auto root, it completed successfully, but when i tried launching superSU it failed to detect root until upgraded it via playstore and it updated su binary and knocked off KNOX! ?

I'm assuming it's something to do with the country's CSC..
To have the option camera shortcut on the lockscreen you must have:Settings/Device/Lock Screen/Screen security/Swipe.Then appearce the option Multiple widgets.:good:
I'm in stock 4.1.2... To me the 4.3 was more slow and unstable then the version i'm using. How is 4.4.4? Everything works? Any changes to camera? Is a fast Rom?? Bigger scores in benchmark tools?

Hotspot quick settings toggle

Has anyone been able to get the hotspot quick settings toggle icon to appear? It showed up automatically on my N4 after I installed the lollipop update. So far, its not showing up on my N6. I've turned hotspot on several times but still no icon.
Google really needs to add a way to customize that menu.

Not sure why yours isn't showing up... the only thing I've changed which might be related is adding the following to build.prop
net.tethering.noprovisioning=true
Hope this helps.

Mine didn't show up on my GPS Nexus 6 running on AT&T until I made this change.
I guess that's the reason then. I wasn't planning on rooting my phone but between this and the encryption, I might not have a choice. Thanks for the responses guys. I have no idea why Google would restrict that convenient button by default.

What do you have to do to have it normally pop up in quick settings? Is it supposed to show up after the first use?

What carrier are you on? Maybe that's the difference? I have been unable to get it to show up on both AT&T and Verizon.

AT&T and Verizon phones both check your subscription before allowing the hotspot and this is why the toggle doesn't show up on its own
That must be the reason since that check is what the build.prop change disables. I still think its silly that it affects the button though. My plan allows tethering. Can't I have the quick settings button and when I press it, it can check my subscription just like the deeper settings menu option?

Oh... one other thing to be aware of is that a bug exists in Moto Voice that sets the ringer volume to 60% (if it is set below that, or even off), every time it is invoked, purposely or accidentally. Perhaps that is what is causing the behavior you're seeing.

I think Motorola has to update assist.
Right now seems that android's settings overwrite Moto's settings.
Assist works great for me. Every night I have it go to sleep and 12:00 and all notifications are quiet until 5:00. It just uses your priority settings, so I am not sure why it isn't working for you. Your screenshot wasn't taken during a time it was supposed to be sleeping, right? Because those settings (as shown) are allowing all interruptions.
Mine works fine, but the deal is: some apps override priority modes by themselves (looking at you, facebook stuff), you have to set them manually. At least, that was my case.

You need to set the days and time for "Downtime" in which Moto Assist (Sleep Mode) enables Priority Mode.

[Q] Heads Up Notifications

I was wondering if I was missing a setting somewhere. I have just switched from 4.4 to 5.0.1 and I don't see any heads up notifications on my Nexus 6. I thought this was a feature but I must have to enable it somewhere that I haven't seen yet. Any help with what I need to do is welcomed.

Battery Low - Perfect stayed on screen long enough to read
Twitter - Stayed on the screen for less than half a second and then disappeared
Got no notifications from:
Pushbullet
Gmail
Inbox
Play Store (when updating apps - I saw this on a custom ROM on 4.4 so don't know if it actually does it on 5.0.1)
Google Calendar
Google+
Hangouts

Headsup notification is not available for all app ATM. Only those app which enable notification with setPriority(PRIORITY_MAX) or setPriority(PRIORITY_HIGH) will be available for headsup notification. BTW go to settings>sounds and notification> interruption> when call and notification arrive and select "always interrupt" if it has not been selected yet
With some custom roms such as SlimLP, you can turn it on and off for all apps.

Wake screen on notification disable

Hello all,
I have noticed that since the last FW update (C432) I cannot locate a setting any longer to disable "wake screen on notification".
I went through each menu item in an attempt to disable it.
Anyone have an idea where this setting has gotten to so I can turn this wake scree off?

Ok.. Figured it out. I had to force stop "themes" and disable. Then reboot and the menu item returned. It was reproducible as well. If I enabled themes and set a different theme, the menu item was gone.
