So my lockscreen has a weird edge thing and i cannot for the love of anything figure out what that does, is almost like something you can pull (like the favorites on edge) anyone knows what that transparent thing on the left side does? Is it a glitch?
Turns out it was a glitch... i restarted the phone and it went away. It was weird nonetheless.

The center of my screen ripples as if under pressure when I use the sliding feature. It is visible on my nearly solid blue background.
Anyone else have this?
You can notice it right before the phone is fully slid open.
Thanks!
i've seen this to you can avvoid it by making sure your screen is pushed all the way back before sliding in or not pulling it forward until all the way out. i've never noticed a problem with it.

Mine has always done it, sometime in two places, where the "wheels" are.
Hi all! So I've recently been having this weird thing happen on my phone. When the keyboard pops up in the home screen (It happens when I'm naming folders in the home screen) it moves my whole screen up. It sounds weird but it's like there's enough room for a second sense dock at the bottom. It only happens when the keyboard comes up on the homescreen, if the keyboard comes up anywhere else it's fine. If I open camera, or reboot the phone it goes back to normal. I'll put up a screenshot.
It's only been happening since last night, after flashing ARHD 51.0. I've looked on the forum but I haven't seen anything about this problem before. Any help on how to fix this would be much appreciated!!
I have this setting turned off. It's been off since the day I got the phone in the mail but suddenly I'm starting to see the floating icon pop up. It's random. It doesn't happen when I pull the S-Pen out but I'll just have my S-Pen sitting next to my phone (outside the phone) on my office desk like I usually do, then I'll start using an app and suddenly I see the floating icon pop its head. I'll touch it then touch away from it on the screen and it disappears.
But it's randomly reappearing. Different apps, different times during the day. I've restarted the phone and clean cache here and there and it still doing it. So weird. Has anyone else seen this on their phone?
EDIT: I attached a pic I just now took with my S8 Plus to show you what I'm talking about. I'm in the S-Pen settings and you can clearly see the option for the floating icon is set to OFF yet it's still there on the side and you can see my S-Pen chilling next to the phone on my desk. I touched the icon, then touched away from the screen and it disappeared. I locked the screen, waited a few seconds, turned the screen back on and the floating icon reappeared.
Something is funky. I have no idea what's causing this.
I have a cheap Chinese-made leather case with poorly placed magnets that causes this behavior. It became so annoying that I stopped using the case (and the problem went away). Perhaps your problem may be a nearby magnetic field too.
I think the Note 8 is having some teething problems. I want that icon on my front page and have it turned on in the settings but it only shows when it feels like it? I suspect Samsung will address this situation when it updates the Note 8?

Hello, my edge lightning works just fine when my phone is on. I get a pill and edge lightning. But when the screen is off, the only thing I get is a pill with and icon and a blue color no matter what app triggers the notification. I searched a lot but could not find anything. Thanks a lot in advance.
Better than me, only stock apps work for me. WhatsApp etc it doesn't work if the screen s off.
I am willing to even root my phone(which i dont really want) because everytime i have notification I have to turn on my screen :/
im new to edge lighting so im not completely sure how it works. for me all it does is glow around the screen once i get the notification and thats it. so unless i see that i really have no way of knowing i have a notification still active.
Most of us can't ever get it to work with the screen off. Edge lighting is a trip
Edge lighting works fine for me with both screen on and off. Those of you who cannot get it to work with screen on or off or both. Should try doing a factory reset through Odin or something and see if android version you got could be corrupted or damaged that causes the problems to some functions not working
Hello,
It's been over a month after i'm using Note 9.
I put my device stand on my office desk so i can see easily if i have new notification coming.
After update to Pie, i found something strange on my device, the screen looks like blinking when AOD mode is active.
I'm sure it's not AOD animation / clock position move, no new notification too.
It's rarely happen, maybe like 1 or 2 times in a hour.
Anyone here face this issue?
I know it's not a big problem, but it's annoying to me.
thats normal, its so that the pixels dont decay on a spot and cause a screen burn in.
