Hey all so I'm in need of some desperate help!!!
I was trying to install Walter White's rooted lollipop on my phone via Safe strap. I rebooted into Safestrap recovery then activated Rom Slot 1 because if anything happened like it did right now i wanted be able to back to stock rom slot.
After installin the rom in the rom slot 1, i've been stuck on a screen with "Samsung GALAXY Note 3" for an hour now. I don't even see the lock that i used to see at the bottom. or the splash screen that used to come up when i booted my phone regularly before. And im not sure what to do!!!
Please help!

If you're lucky you can flash this with Odin https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=96042739161891885 in the AP slot. It should get you back to Safestrap, so you can delete Rom Slot 1 and install the Rom on Stock Rom slot ONLY. Not trying to be mean, but if Rom Slot 1 not saving you what's the point of using it? IF flashing the NC2 Kernel does not work, you going to have to start over and Odin flash ALL four files (NOT THE All-In-One) http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=54803130&postcount=136 Odin http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=3109599&d=1420980613 @unheartedninja @banishedmonk

I went through the process of Rooting my phone with the towelroot process. Got superuser installed and running without tripping Knox.
Installed Busybox and Installed safestrap. Knox still not tripped. then backed up my stock rom on my internal drive.. I tried using the default sizes and
installing [ROM] FireNote Mj5 Deodex V14 on ROM 1 slot and then rebooted but it stayed at a black screen with just my blue LED lit up at the top of the
screen. let it set for ten mins like this and nothing happen. so i pulled the battery and booted back up, now im able to get back into safe strap but i can not
find any files of my back up or of the firenote mj5 to try to reinstall it.
Is there a way from here that i can try and put the stock rom back on and start over? like using odin or anything?
Ive had that same problem . You might have to download a rom to your external sd card and flash it in the stock slot cause the extra slots work sometimes and sometimes not . You can change from internal to external sd towords the top in safestrap and your roms might be there. But you need to find out if you were on kitkat or jb cause you cant mix them . Read the rom posts carefuly its very important . Forget the slots til your phone will boot to a rom.

thank you, but how do i get the rom on the sd card. wont i have to format it when i mount it to my phone.
Just do a factory reset to the stock slot and then flash but if your trying to restore your factory rom then go where it says restore if you can find your backup if not then install a rom in the stock slot . Were you on kitkat or jb? You might have to get a computer to download a rom to a sd card from this forum if you didnt have one on there and i dont think you will have to format it the phone will read what its allowed to read by the system witch will be whatever rom you put on it . But if you installed the wrong safestrap and you were on official kk then i dont know how to fix it .you will have to wait till someone with more smarts than me can help you.

Hi!
Today i wanted to update my firmware just because Samsung Kies asked me if i wanted to. I couldn't have been more wrong when i chose to update.
The update froze at 3% and after a lot of time i unplugged the phone and ended up with a brick instead of a phone.
If i try to turn it on, i get a black screen with a "phone--!--pc" picture. I can enter Download Mode by pressing VolumeDown + HomeButton + PowerButton and i get an android logo with ''Downloading... Do not turn off target'' written under it.
My phone was never rooted, nor updated ( it remained with its out-of-the-factory OS and everything ).
For the past 6 hours i've been trying to use Odin v4.43 along with AriesVE.ops (the one from the well-known WORKED2 archive) to try and get recovery-clockwork to work.
So my questions are:
Given the fact that my phone was not rooted, how can i get my GT-I9001 to work again? Is this even possible?
Can i first root it in its condition, then flash a custom rom like cyanogenmod? Or do i need to install a stock rom and then try a custom one?
What other options do i have?
Everything i've tried so far with Odin froze while downloading and i have no other solution to this problem. Please help!

Yes it is possible as long as your device boots into Download mode.
No you can't root it in its current condition.
You need to download a stock firmware, flash it using Odin or Heimdall (recommended), then root it and finally install a custom ROM if you want.

Thank you for answering!
I fixed the issue. Tried different usb port along with a different version of CWM (5.5.0.4) which I installed with Odin v4.43. CWM 5.5.0.4 caused a bootloop, but i used it only to install CWM 6.0.4.9 from external_sd, so the bootloop problem was gone. Then flashed CyanogenMod 11 and now works like a charm !
I attached an archive with CWM 5.5.0.4, AriesVE.ops and Odin v4.43, so that anyone having my problem can solve it the way i did. But keep in mind that this version of CWM *may* cause a bootloop, so prior to installing it, you should have a working version of CWM on your external_sd. Use CWM 5.5.0.4 to install the better version of CWM from your external_sd. Also, whatever you do is at your own risk!
So I flashed the Alliance Rom for my t-mo Note 4 and all I get is the boot logo.
I've gone through with Odin and the CF auto root junk, used TWRP to wipe and flash this rom.
I got TWRP on there, but I can't seem to put any files onto my phone. Like I select mount, and when I try to drag a file over, windows wont let me.
You see, I've got this error, and it says Kernel is Not SEandroid enforcing. I have looked for a fix, and people say that I need to flash a file called stocK_kernel, which I have.
I can't get this file onto the device it seems. Anyone have any ideas of what is going on?
EDIT: tried flashing another rom using odin and now all i get the t-mobile logo...
and I can't register for sammobile because I can't pass the captcha !! It's frustrating... I can't download what I think I need >_>
Any help would be awesome
I know this is a typical problem, I've been around XDA for a while, but never made an account until I decided to actually root and try to flash my device.

A ROM using ODIN? Which one? If it's Lollipop...and you are on the T-Mobile logo screen, how long did you wait? It takes ~10 minutes to boot. But, if you are on the Samsung screen, there is a problem. So, I'm currently thinking you are not waiting long enough?
Try putting your rom in the extsd or internal and flash from there.
I would grab the stock firmware and flash that using Odin. Don't forget to factory reset using stock recovery after flashing stock firmware.
Just start over.
Then root and install twrp, once your back at square one, then put your rom of choice on either of the SD locations and flash using twrp.
A bootloop after flashing a rom is usually, in my experience, a kernel issue. So it couldn't hurt to have an alternate compatible kernel to flash if you need it.
If you have TWRP all is not lost. If you flashed the stock ROM then you probably don't have TWRP anymore. Its just about impossible to wreck this phone by flashing ROMs. I would ODIN to the stock COD6 build. I believe there is a thread with all the files you need in one zip. Follow those instructions and it should get you back to stock rooted and you can go from there with flashing ROMs again.

No the rom doesn't use Odin. But I imagine the person had to root and flash a custom recovery as well. The rom of course had to be flashed in recovery.
Hello, I'm terribly sorry if this is the incorrect place to put this; but I'm desperate. I flashed hyperdrive on my galaxy s4 active NH3, and it booted the rom before I could flash the master patch, and the su update zips. So now im stuck with an unrootable nh3 galaxy s4 active that runs hyperdrive rom fine, but my wifi doesn't work, and I can't get into safestrap to flash the modules, because I can't root to install safestrap. Someone please help me, I can't reinstall my stock rom with Odin right now because my computer isn't working. Please help and thank you so much
The safe strap splash screen doesn't show up at boot? A safe strap ROM should not uninstall safe strap iirc.
Just because the app isn't in your app drawer, doesn't necessarily mean safe strap is gone. Reboot and check if it's still there, it should be.
The splash screen doent come up at all. It just says "samsung galaxy s4 active" and where the ss screen should come up, it automatically boots into the rom, displaying the rom boot animation and booting into the rom

Every single solution I can think of either requires root (lol hardly a solution, huh?) or consists of, "Odin back to stock." Are you able to use Odin at all?
Even if you don't want to Odin back to stock NE3, I think the W0lfdroid method should still be able to root your phone while on hyperdrive, just like on stock NH3. I.e. flash the root kernel to your phone via Odin, boot and run towelroot, Odin flash the NH3 kernel, boot and install/run superSU.
I'm inclined to think that method will still work because for any rom to work on the i537, it automatically has to be compatible with our stock kernel.

Thank you, ill try that method. I wont be able to get my computer fixed until the weekend so im suck with no wifi or camera until then. Im still very confused as to why it did all of this. When I flashed the rom in ss, the aroma installer launched, and at the end I pressed next and it froze, so I had to take my battery out a place it back in. When I rebooted I expected to see the ss splachscreen so I could proceed to flash the masterpatch and the camera and wifi fix but it just booted right into the rom boot animation and then loads the rom. It continues to do this, so I have no safestrap now. However I do have the safestrap apk saved on my sd card along with the towlroot apk incase I ever lose root while flashing a rom and my wifi doesn't work such as the fist time I flashed hyperdrive with my NE3.
Anyways thanks a bundle
Samsung Galaxy S3 LTE i-9305
Hello everyone, first post and I need help :crying::crying:
Today I tried backing up my rom on CWM recovery but it was always getting stuck on "Generating MD5 sum"
So I decided to switch to TWRP. I downloaded the TWRP app from the play store. I picked my device, picked the latest
version and downloaded. Then the app asked me if I wanted to reboot into recovery (something like that, I don't exactly remember what it was) and I pressed yes. The phone turned off and rebooted however I don't know what happened but now my phone is starts, shows the [Samsung Galaxy S3 LTE i-9305] screen for about 3 seconds then goes black and again shows the [Samsung Galaxy S3 LTE i-9305] screen repeatedly. I don't know what to do :crying:
My phone is rooted with CM11 flashed. So I can't give it in for a repair as they would be able to tell if I am rooted because of the KNOX warranty void: 1 thing :crying::crying: What can I do now??
NOTE: I can't reboot into recovery, only bootloader.
can you reboot into downloading mode ((home+power+volume-)?
if yes, with odin, try to flash again the recovery (i prefer PhilZ recovery on my i9305) and later try to backup your phone.
