Where is the best place to get 3d videos to work with the vr? I have a bunch of 3d blurays but I don't have a player for my computer. What is the best way to convert your videos to play in the vr. I also have a ton of ultraviolet movies I can download, will those play in the vr?
Also can i buy 3d movies from vudu and use them in vr?
Doubtful. Drm will lock most of the movie stores out your only options are ripping your own Blu-ray or. Pirating. At least until the supposed mgo advanced movie service for the gear Vr comes out.
I am totally new to Unity & VR. I got setup and environment running on my system. I have done enough research about VR and 360 Video Player.
I want to develop the Video App which plays 360 degree videos in Samsung VR. something like Milk VR.
Some help to head start with it, just a guidance will be really helpful.
I've created several sets of 3D L/R 360 Panoramas with full stereoscopic parallax and am looking to preview these on a Gear VR. Are there any Gear VR apps available or techniques you can share which would support a pair of stereo panoramic images? On the Oculus DK2 I use Live View Rift to view them successfully. Now I'm looking for a simple solution on the Gear HMD.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

Is it true that Gear VR only accepts 3D VIDEOS in fisheye effect?

Unfortunately, 360 pictures doesn't support static stereo panoramas. To create the pano in stereo, with parallax, it takes two separate pano images, one left, one right with a left to right shift of ~6cm that creates parallax. I think we need to create a dedicated viewer app to support them on GearVR.

The supported 3D Videos I've seen are vertically stacked fisheye videos. There's a .json file named the same as the movie file, with metadata for the 3D Video player.
Check out a YouTube review of Netflix on the VR. Finally! https://youtu.be/rRTTBEMlMTE

I was really impressed how well this runs. I haven't tried the high res texture pack yet, but the S5 is very very good for playing VR games.
