Hi guys. As you know the OTA for the KitKat version of the One is starting to roll out. Problem is, i bought this Sprint One in the Philippines and currently running a local sim card which works for me. Now i only get GSM when i enable mobile data. I've read several threads about it and its just the way it is i guess. Is this sim unlocked already?
This is rooted and the software version says 'benny's 4.3'. Baseband version is 1.00.20.0913_3. Will i be able to update this OTA or should i wait for someone to make a modded version of KitKat specifically on the Sprint One to be able to use my GSM SIM? Most likely the OTA will be a CDMA version though. Thanks.
Hi, I hope this isnt a dumb question but I've searched and can find an answer. I have an unlocked att s5 running on tmobile network and want to know how I can update from 4.4.2 to 4.4.4 i have checked the software update on the phone and it says Up to date. I have also tried Kies3 and it says the same. My question is how do I update to 4.4.4. do i need a att sim card?

I believe this thread will be helpful. http://forum.xda-developers.com/att...to-root-g900aucu2aoa1-4-4-4-2-3-2015-t3021120
I am staying on 4.4.2 until 5.0 comes out but I would assume since its still the g900A you will always have to keep up with the AT&T updates like this since you can't take an OTA.
Hey, so I'm really new to Android (this Note 5 is my first Android phone) and I don't know much about firmware flashing, so I thought I would inquire here... I have the SM-N920I model of the phone, but it was a Spark (New Zealand carrier) phone so it's not factory unlocked but it has been unlocked as I can use my Vodafone SIM. Since it has the Spark firmware, there is the Spark boot animation, and I was wondering if I could flash the factory unlocked firmware onto the device to get rid of this and a couple other things that bug me a little with the carrier firmware.
Thanks for any help guys!
Hello there, I am from the UK, and got myself a s5 (which i didnt realise was the at&t version til i looked into rooting etc) but just need a few questions answered
As I realise, that the phone has a locked bootloader...... and the recovery is safestrap....and my phone is running 5.0 BOF3
Any way I can.......?
Root or downgrade....?
Debrand it of AT&T stuff
Debloat it, as in the UK, the AT&T stuff is useless!
I only want to root it to use adaway and titanium backup, although non root, I can use adguard.
Any answers to my question greatly appreciated!
OC3 was the last AT&T firmware that could be rooted/downgraded. I have an S5 Active with OJ3 and can't even update to Marshmallow because I'm on Cricket and not AT&T (even though Cricket is owned by AT&T and operates on their network).
Hi all,
I bought the Galaxy S6 from AT&T when it came out, but switched over to T-Mobile from AT&T last year. Because of this, I have been unable to get any updates and have been stuck on Android 6.0 when the current release is android 7.0, so I've been thinking of flashing my phone. I was curious as to whether I'm able to flash my G920A with Tmobile's G920T rom? Would it work? And if so, after I flash it, would I be able to receive updates normally from T-mobile's servers, as I'm currently using a T-mobile sim, or would I have to flash every subsequent update?
Thanks
Doubtful, since AT&T has a locked bootloader. If the bootloader was unlocked you might be able to try.

You cannot flash a G920T firmware on a G920A. First off, Odin won't let you because the G920T firmware is only signed to be flashed on the G920T.
And even if you somehow rooted and used FlashFire to force the firmware onto your device, the firmware would brick the device, and without a USB jig or SD card port, the brick would be permanent.

I too am seeking answers on this as I have an SM-920A I brought over to t-mobile. Unlocked the phone, installed the t-mobile SIM and the phone works fine, except, it still has all the old ATT apps I no longer need or desire to be there AND without the T-Mobile apps installed, I cannot use their LTE Signal Booster. Is there any way I can install these t-mobile apps that would have come with the SM-920T load?

Just do this and remove the AT&T apps you don't want completely.

So, what can be done -- if anything--to solve this issue?
