Just recieved OTA Froyo!!

Hi All,
I just checked my Phone and I have an update for Froyo available, and while I was installing it I looked out the window and saw a unicorn!!! Look I even took a picture.
What you dont believe me???

yes, I have the very rare Gobi desert ROM, thats probably why they updated me first.
They realise us nomads deserve the best

Where can I find this Gobi desert ROM? Is it AOSP based? Also, do the leds work correctly? Finally, if I become a nomad as well do I have a chance to get Froyo faster?

You can find it in the desert, no bugs as yet. Although there is an issue with keys jamming due to excess sand.

lol far out some people need to ease up and get a life..at the end of the day it is just a firmware update..the world would be a better place if more people were like kiwis and aussies.

yes we have heard about the new iPhone killer everytime a new htc hits the marked but I don't see the iPhone dead yet and there will never be an iPad killer just other options. The only one that can kill iPhone or iPad is Steve

And I highly doubt I will ever find a use for it, other than looking like a compete douche.

So, with all the pre-orders and people finding that it's going to be hard to get one any time soon, when will stock be available? To me, this just sounds like a ploy to build up a buzz about "who can get the N6 first" and then release it in normal numbers after the hype has been promoted.
So, if I come back in a month or two, will normal stock numbers make the device easier to get?
Benefits of waiting:
* By waiting, any issues with hardware/software will be brought out by the numerous early adopters.
* By waiting, if there are updates to the software or hardware that need to be released, they will be by the time late-market adopters get in on the action
* By waiting, more accessories may be introduced into the market as some accessory makers wait to see what the reception of a device is into the market before releasing accessories
* By waiting, more stock and therefore, better pricing may occur (although this one is a stretch even on a good day)
Cons of waiting:
* You don't get the device before anyone else (not really a big deal if you've got a perfectly good working device, after all for a lot of us, smartphones are a luxury not a necessity, YMMV)
* You don't get the latest and greatest tech immediately (see previous point)
I just see more benefits to waiting than in running out and getting this just because it's "new"
Of course, this is my opinion, yours may be different.

Yeah I'm using the Canadian Pushbullet (so far no updates, lol). But I've been following the USA PushBullet, just for fun, and it seems like from last week, the "Out Of Stock" notification comes MERE seconds after the In Stock notification, lol, I really will need to be really fast. Specially if this is a worldwide pre-order. I would hate to have to wait an extra week to place an order

Anyone ever consider jumping ship to apple to end the crack flashing. I don't know if this is a problem only I deal with but every time I have an android phone, especially with the nexus, I feel compelled to flash sometimes multiple times a day. Think I have a problem

Blasphemy!!! I verbally and physically attack all friends who use and think iPhone's are superior to Android (good Android). I'm also a flashaholic...I've never considered jumping to iOS and never will...for me an iPhone is for old people who can't grasp technology and tween girls who think having an iPhone makes them "cool" lol.

Had Nexus devices/HTCs/etc. Sold it to get an iPhone 6 (to stop my addiction). One month later, I've just sold the iPhone and about to buy a Nexus 6
Don't get me wrong, Apple do some stuff brilliantly (Touch ID is awesome!) but I just use Google's services too much

Makes sense! Looks like I'm moving at the right time, Motorola have just dropped £80 off the N6 prices until June 30th (and CPW are even cheaper for the 64GB one)
