Supershieldz film dry install screen protector - Galaxy S6 Edge Accessories

http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00U6...+galaxy+s6&dpPl=1&dpID=51AxiQpmWNL&ref=plSrch
I tried skinomi, iqshield and zagg and they all had that rubbery orange peel look except the zagg but thar still felt rubbery and marks didn't go away from pushing the bubbles out. The supershieldz came 2 to a pack and I did my wife's gold and then my black sapphire. I taped the bottom to align mine and and just removed first film then flipped it on and took off second film.then I sprayed some water on top a fine mist of course and used a squeegee to remove the bubbles.the water helps a lot.the sides and corners adhered well. I usually go naked on my phones and never had any issues but hearing about the s6 edge scratching easily maybe because of the plastic substrate? I decided to throw a protector on.overall very satisfied for the price that is hard to beat for 2.

There is another thread I was reading that mentioned this product so I went over to check it out. I have two phones that need protecting so, although there are two films per package, I thought I should play it safe and consider purchasing two packages. The price shown per package was $2.99 which I thought was a fantastic deal. I aborted my purchase at check out however for the following reason: the price of the item in the listing was $2.99 and the shipping said $3.99 and when I went to check out I saw I was being charged $3.99 per item. The cost of the items was $5.98 and the shipping was $7.98. To me that seemed a bit odd. I will be honest, I have not used Amazon in a while but back in the day the shipping was on a per order basis - not per item. Also, $3.99 for shipping of a $2.99 item seemed a bit out there. I did notice that Amazon was not fulfilling the order and that it would be shipped from the seller. The experience reminded me of the TV ads that claim to throw in a second item free as long as you pay separate shipping and handling, but when you read the fine print the shipping is like $20 or $30.
If this is a good product and the company is legit, I will reconsider, but as of right now I am skeptical.

The screen protector has rainbows running through it when viewed from certain angles. Similar to oil in water.

The only thing I notice are little crystal like dots on white backgrounds. ..but not as bad as on the skinomi and iq shields and invisashield

Best Skins Ever
I have tried BodyGuardz and Best Skins Ever. Haven't stopped using BSE since. They have a full body armor for the D4.
http://www.bestskinsever.com/motorola-droid-4-skin
Also they sell DIY sheets.
The good thing about bodyguardz is that once you order for them, and create an account, all future orders are 20% off. The only gotcha i have with them is their shipping. They "force" you to spend $25 worth of stuff so you can get free shipping, and its sloooow shipping.
Thinking about skipping them this time around and just hitting my local vzw store since i get 25% off.
The last screen protectors i bought from vzw were for my D1 and they were absolutely terrible. Can anyone speak to if theyve improved since?
http://www.zagg.com/invisibleshield...es-screen-protectors-covers-skins-shields.php
Used invisible shields for many many years.
After about 3 or 4 years they can start to yellow a little but they will replace them under the lifetime guarantee.
About a 6 or 7 on the installation difficulty scale though (to get a perfect dust free application). Trick is to get the bathroom really steamy with the shower. Takes all the dust out of the air while it's still humid.
Lifetime guarantee on the product. 45 day satisfaction guarantee if you just don't like it.
I would use amazon I like the mirror screen thats just me. Kind of annoying when it is bright outside and you have the brightness down low tho

Best Screen/Clasp protectors?

I've searched around on ebay but really only see what looks like generic, or the SKinomi stuff. Does anyone have experience with any of the sellers and could recommend some?
EDIT: Xtremeguard is having a sale currently, 90% off. I've bought from them many times in the past. Not bad for a cheap protector. I'm actually using a cut up one from xtremeguard...was a battery protector for my galaxy note 2.
Got 4 for 2.80 shipped

Good question... I looked them up and yes, they are that price, but shipping here in the US is 5.99! Hardly worth ordering for something that can be easily just cut out of vinyl or a spare screen saver.

I got the same deal, whole order for something like 10 of them was under $5 total.
These are awesome screen protectors, when correctly installed they are crystal clear and completely invisible.
I'm pretty happy with the clear Skinomi one. It's a little soft but I like the fact the it has a bit of adhesive on it so It's stuck my watch pretty good. And the fact that it's soft allows it to bend better to hug the curve of the watch. Also the clasp one covers the entire clasp even the sides, and also it comes with 2 extra strips that protects the sides of the watch as well. I bought my 1st set on amazon right after I got my watch for christmas. Had it on since and the only issue I've had is on the clasp side, the bottom corner near the band got caught on something so it lifted up the corner slightly. Instead of removing and reapplying it, I just cut the lifted part off with a nail cutter. It's been almost a month and half and it still intact and I wear my watch everyday, except when I go to sleep.
A few days later i bought mine I saw a post about a 60% off year end sale from Skinomi. So I bought a back up just in case and 2 sets for my note 3.
Could someone write the size of the glass of the display ? I would like to know if the films GEAR1 are compatible with the grar2 NEO

Spigen Screen Protector

Just wanted to let everyone know that Spigen does have screen protectors for the Neo. I ordered them before mine even showed up and they got here on the 10th, same day as my Neo. They are a wet apply protector and go on nice and easy. Given the size of the device alignment can be a bit tricky. Its 10 bucks for 3, which isnt bad IMO.

iSmooth Gear 2 Neo screen protector
Ordered and received this screen protector:
http://www.amazon.com/iSmooth-Samsung-Ultra-Screen-Protector/dp/B00IMMBZHK/ref=cm_cr_pr_product_top
The packaging was for the correct protector (Gear 2 Neo) but it was a little smaller than the screen (which I did not mind) BUT, the top and bottom edges would not stay stuck to the screen. After looking closer, the top and bottom edges are slightly tapered and this protector was not flexible enough to follow these contours.
I called the company and they are going to re-measure for a better fit.
They refunded 100% of my Amazon purchase w/o questions.
Still looking for a good protector.
There are not too many choices.

They are not refunding me. I would have to pay return shipping. I even sent them pictures. At 10 bucks i will eat the cost and just tell all my customers at Samsung and Best Buy how crappy they are. Even best buy mobile manager couldn't get them on properly or have them look good and he has done hundreds of screen protectors. They have the orange peel effect and even though they have the proper tools to get the bubbles out there are dents from the installation. 3 different people tried the 3 included. I mean do they expect me to ship an empty box. I love spigen products but these are garbage.

I guess im confused. Mine were cake to install, look pretty good, and given i did it in the dark and in a rush, they lined up pretty well. The orange peel is minimal, and their are no indentions. Its my experience that you only get grooves if you try to force all the bubbles out. With wet apply screen protectors thats the worst thing you can do. It takes a day or two for them all to go away, but they do go away. And, orange peel is one of the downsides to most of the rubbery type screen protectors, at least all of the ones ive encountered.

Mine was pretty easy to install as well. As a matter of fact, I noticed that my watchface was scuffed up pretty good in one of the corners. I gently peeled back the spigen protector and the actual watch is just fine. I'll replace the protector tonight since I have two more. Good investment for me.

I needed something to protect the screen from scratches so I'm going with these for now. I have mine applied without bubbles w/ minimum orange peel. What I hate though is that this is the gummy type of protector that I kind of hate touching compared to smooth. I would not have ordered these if I knew that was the case. Heck, I'd buy a tempered glass one if someone sold it as that's what I use on all my phones and tablets now. I wish at least a smooth/slick one was available.
I ordered the spigen screen protectors but I have a zagg designed for the Gear 1 installed. It seems to be holding up well. Has anyone used both and noticed a big difference in quality? I was going to leave the zagg on til it deteriorates but if the spigen is way better I'll take it off and switch. The zagg doesn't cover 100% of the face.

Skinomi have been a great value
Guys, I just purchased the Skinomi screen protector. 6 for $10.00 delivered. Very easy to apply, fits screen excellent, and can't even tell its there. Good product. Just thought I'd throw that out there.
Ordered the Spigen direct made a mess installing it as per the instructions but I followed the final step, which was leave it alone and the bubbles, etc will disappear.
Well two days in the screen protector looks perfect, quite amazing.
Anyway only gripe it screen sensitivity on swipping especially down needs more pressure.

I'll second that. I applied the protector 2 days ago. It went on easy and had several bubbles. By yesterday 90% of the bubbles were gone, today there are none.
Jp
Used these on my Neo and Gear 2, learned to just slap them on and the bubbles totally dissappear after a day or so for a perfect finish

Zagg Glass

Hey guys, I installed the Zagg Glass on my M8 and so far so good.
Installation was easy but I did notice that Zagg's "Micro fiber Lint cloth" does more harm than good, then again I noticed the same thing with their Plastic screen protector. I'd recommend not using it unless you boil it down/rinse it to death.
It'll leave it's own lint on your screen.
Other than that I have no complains.
The Glass itself is smoother than the glass on the phone and it resists smudges quite well.
I live in San Diego so when people use my phone their hands aren't the driest since it's been 90+ lately. Yet when they were done there were no smudges. The edges are rounded like The Glas.Tr from Spigen and I have absolutely no bubbles at all.
I had the BodyGuardz ScreenGuardz Pure before this and I can definitely say it was an upgrade.
I will corroborate your review. Pretty good quality, the feel is excellent and even more so oleophobic than the stock screen in my opinion. I can't even tell it's on there, and the screen isn't compromised at all. Worth the $40.
The lint cloth caused me no trouble although it didn't really help either.
The only gripe I have is that when I was "smoothing out" the bubbles, it says to press down hard, and I used the lint cloth along with some force from my thumb nail, and if you tilt it in the right light you can see exactly where I pressed down with my thumb nail in several spots...just small depressions in the shape of a nail tip. Didn't think an "industrial strength" glass/plastic would be easily indented by a thumb nail. In any case, its a small neurotic thing that doesn't bother me much, just something I noticed. Overall pleased.
4/5 Stars
I'll be the third to say I bought one of these and I love it. Can't beat a lifetime warranty either.
Probably my second favorite outta all the ones I've had. Tried almost every glass protector. Mime feather is still my favorite, but this is close.
Well... I really wanted to stay away from zag due to past experiences with their products. Being that my brand new spigen light armor hadn't arrived, I went to the local best buy to find a cheap screen protector until I could get more money for the glastr shield. Cheapest one there was a invisishield for 25 bucks, damn.... Then for only 5 bucks more was the glass zag shield, plus the life time warranty.
I had no choice. I would for sure get my screen scratched up while working.
So anyway, to my suprise, I couldn't be any happier with this screen protector. No dust, no bubbles, no edges peeling, no fitment issues, no headaches. This glass protector Sh*** on wet installs, and plastic shields. Also, it fits very nice with the spigen light armor. Also it really does resist fingerprints and smudges. 10/10

Does anyone have details regarding the "lifetime warranty" disclaimers? Curious about what is covered and how many replacements, etc.
I have the Bodyguardz glass protector that I bought at the AT&T store. It works fine and I like it but it is thick. They didn't have any dot view cases in stock and I ordered one while I was there. I also asked if the case would work with the protector (because of the added thickness of the glass) and they said it "probably" would. Well, yesterday the case arrived in the mail and it won't close because of the Bodyguardz protector.
Can anyone in here tell me if the dot view case will work with the Zagg glass protector?
wow $40? I also hate best buy so will not shop there ever.
What about the glass screen protectors on ebay for $5-15, sounds more reasonable.
I used to avoid screen shields like the plague because of finger smudges, difficult installs, and bubbles/defects. But I'm in love with the glass shield. I'll corroborate all the above and say it's a simple install and resists fingerprints much better than the regular screen.

The nice thing is you get a lifetime warranty. If you choke it down and buy it from best buy, I think they charge 7.99 or something to install it, but if you ever mess it up or it peels or they don't install it right you can take it back and they redo it. Otherwise, you just email zagg and they send you a new one in a couple days.

True, but one time and it's only 3 bucks more for Best Buy to do it, and as soon as you have it done twice, you would have been better off with them. Not to mention you can just pop in whenever you're around a store and have it fixed.

On my second Glass...First I bought the HD shield, and they have what I believe to be, a defect in design on the HD. Not only does it cover the screen, but on all 4 corners, it goes up the sides of the speaker grills. If your screen is not perfectly flush with the metal speaker plates guess what...you will have air pockets that you cant get rid of. After going back and forth, they sent me a replacement, and it was the SAME thing..UGH..
So I went out and bought a Glass..since it only protected the screen. Had issues with the first one, as none of the corners would stick! Put in for another replacement, which came today, and it went on smooth as silk and all the corners are bubble free...
When you do the replacement, you also need to send back your old one. They provide you an envelope to do so. They will also ask for your credit card number. If you do not return your old one, they will charge you the full price for the replacement they shipped out!
$6 on EBAY for these, shipped...
No... . . . Not ZAGG, specifically, but extremely high quality and the same damn glass.
Just got the Zagg glass shield installed today and I have to say this is the best I've ever tried. Glass from now on!

There's BodyGuardz, I have an extra of those the edges aren't rounded, there's a Spigen Glas.Tr but it's an extra 5$ at 39.99.

ZAGG Glass Curved now available but........

Called Zagg yesterday to ask about the curved tempered glass and the girl said it's been shipping for the past week. You have to call and order as it's still not available on their website. Now here's the kicker, It has a black painted border around the edges. :silly:
I asked if it sticks to the actual display area and she said yes, but did not sound too sure. It was $44.99 but she said she would give me 10% off and another $10.00 off discount. After hearing about the black "Painted Border" I did not order and will wait to see what others find out.
If anyone has ordered and received one please post some pictures and a review. Thank You.
Some have already had it and sent it back. See the TGSP thread. It's the same Chinese crap.
Sent from my SM-G935F using XDA-Developers mobile app
Yea, just saw that. Glad I did not order one.
Honestly I've given up hope of ever finding a decent TGSP for this phone. You need 100% adhesion to the screen for it to not look and feel like absolute balls every time, and so far all the TGSP are exactly the same garbage you can get for 20$ on eBay.
I tried a protection but it did not work
Anyone else tried the Zagg curved yet?
Must have lost my mind..........................Just picked one up at Best Buy for the Regular Edge at the everyday low price of $44.99 plus tax.
I'll see how it works out tomorrow. One thing that worries me is all the cutouts on the back are real sharp feeling. Hope they won't scratch the face of the phone.
So the Zagg glass for the edge isn't any good?
I saw these in the local EE shop on Saturday, and whilst I was there someone bought one and attempted to install it. Looked no different than all the others you get online to me (other than being more expensive), and it still didn't appear to sit on the screen properly. I'll stick with the HD Dry myself. If a premium company like Zagg can't get these things working properly, then tempered glass protectors on curved screens are a write off for me. The manufacturers just don't seem capable of getting them right but as long as people buy them they'll continue making them.
