[Solution] Xperia T bootloop/won't charge below 0% - Sony Xperia T, TL, TX, V

Hi,
I've been struggling for a while to fix this problem. It's like this: phone gets below 0%, and won't charge. Only thing you can do is hold the power button while connecting the charger. It boots, but doesn't detect charging so it shut's down. After that it boots again because of holding the power button. The 24 hour charge trick also doesn't work.
Things you need:
1. Small philips head screwdriver.
2. High quality 2A charger (I used a brand new Samsung S6 charger).
Solution:
1. Open your Xperia T by opening the SIM flap and remove the small screw.
2. Disconnect the battery flap.
3. Hold the power button.
4. Connect the battery flap.
5. Put the cable in your Xperia T.
6. Wait a few seconds.
7. Connect the charger to a socket.
8. Be patient.
Came across this by accident, has worked since with 2 devices.

yep tryed it .. theres a red light on the power button whats that about?
Have you tried removing the charger and battery, then plug the charger back in, wait a few seconds, then put the battery back in (with the charger still connected). This usually solves the ol' red light/no power issue on my hermes. I only normally have to do this though if I accidently let the battery run completely flat.
Other than that, a red flashing LED when the power button is pressed on a sony ericsson device usually indicates an error. The LED flashes error codes based on either hardware or flash problems/errors... though I don't know if this will apply in this case on the basis its completely different hardware/software to "standard" SE devices.
hmm now the red is on constant on the power button i tryed the few things you guys mentioned but no luck maybe it need s a good charge again.. DOHHHH!!
i flicked throught he manual there is no detail about what the red light on the power button means
Hmmm - on my Wizard when the battery went flat I couldn't use a USB cable from the computer I had to charge it from the Wall socket. Your Xperia should have come with a normal plug to plug into a wall socket (you attach your USB cable to that).
why not call the X1 support?
after overnight charging there was no change, so i manged to boot it in flash mode let it on charge for a few min then i reset the phone and bingo it rebooted.. woooohoo
I followed your instructions.
But I cannot boot in flash mode (4colour) even though I charged it for a while, then press and hold Volume Down + Power together.
The illumination lights just flash and turn off.
Is it always like that? If you leave your phone with totally no power in the battery you can not start it later, or you have problems starting it?
I ask because I saw a couple of topics for that issue in the forum. Does everyone have this problem or it's for some devices only?
Do you use the origin SE-charger? I had the problem once and used the charger of the diamond from my wife since I was too lazy going up into the arttic searching for the carton. But the charger of the Diamond has too few ampere, so the battery of the Xperia didn't received enough power. Even using the USB-port of the computer didn't worked well.
So try using the origin charger and also don't let the battery get too low.
aah, I use the original charger of SE X1.
The Cause of problem:
+ I set the alarm. After it had notified, it still snoozed and ran out of battery.
+ I didn't know the current phone without power when I woke up. I turned it on and it had to used little power left inside (the saved power - I guess). From that point, X1 cannot be charged even you plug it all day and all night - different with other phones.
(My Cingular 8125 can be charged after 24hours charging continously).
* Any X1 and other PDA using window CE can suffer that problem.
The Solution:
* For other phones: just plug wallcharge in, after 24hours, it can be charged.
* For X1: You have to come to BOOT MODE (4colours)
(but if doing like above posts, you cannot come to boot mode with no power inside battery)
1. Remove the battery.
2. Plug to wallcharge.
3. Hold the volume Down + Power buttons.
4. Still keeping hold those 2 buttons in one hand, another put the batter back inside.
5. Wait until it turns into Boot Mode, released them and charge in 15 minutes (to make sure that it would receive a little power)
6. Remove the battery and plug back. Restart in Normal Mode and charge it.
* It is my experience after many trials in 9 crazy hours
Thank you for that useful post. It's good to know that there is a way out of that situation.

yeah omg,
thx for this this should be a sticky
i was listening to my music and got an notification that my battery is low, not even 2 minutes later my phone went off
and couldn't put it back on. the weird part is that the 10 prcnt of power drains that fast my music isn't loud (via media xperia panel - phone volume was 100% but music player was full for 2-3 blocks)
but anyway, thx
pek, you're a star. flawless fix.
When my wife's X1i run out of power completely two weeks ago I also first tried to use the original SE charger. No effect after 6 hours charge.
Next I tried my lab power supply which can provide 5V/3A current. It took less than an hour to charge the phone making it fully workable.
My car's charger can fully charge X1 from 20% battery to 100% in less than 45 minutes. 2A maximum current restricted. Fast charge seems have no influence on battery's life.
Also if you have a wall charger for X1 battery you can charge it outside the phone for some time (20 minutes usually enough). Also works.

Xperia X1 Problem

I have a problem with the Xperia X1, power button bright red...
I tried charging it and still nothing
so too, and I have had. Connect the Xperia into pc usb and wait for 15 minutes. Pull the battery and insert again, so a few times. You can also wake up the batteries, you must connect the batteries with the + and - to the battery (5.0 volts max.). If you have an old usb cable and cut it will have 4 wires, black and red you need to know to use red +, black -, connect the USB cable to the pc and connect the battery + to +, - to -. I did this and it works
And again it wont turn on....
Connect the battery as I said? Wait until warm. Then insert the the Xperia and connect the charger, it has to work
How long to hold the battery on the USB
5 minutes, so it was with me after 5 minutes, put the batteries into the charger and plug Xepria, see if you will charge, the LEDs will flash illumination, if so it is good
It doesn't works...
take the battery out of the phone for 30 seconds or more
put battery in the phone
plug in wall usb charger and insert in to the phone
DO NOT try to switch on the phone
after 30 minutes try to switch on the phone
fingers crossed this works for you
Doesn't work
can you enter bootloader mode?
with charger plugged in after a few minutes try pressing power on key and volume up
No, can't :\
Not working for me
Ilumination light doesn't work, btw battery is down, i will buy another battery and i will try

[Guide] Rescuing N7000 Dead Battery Loop

Hi everybody.
I want to share how I "revived" my N7000 battery. I didn't find anywhere someone else that did this little thing, and that's why I'm posting here.
If you leave your galaxy Note turned off for a couple of months (it can happen if it is not you main horse any more) the battery goes below 0%. Subsequently if you try to plug it to the power line it gets stuck with the animation of the empty battery with the "loading circle" inside popping on the screen screen every few seconds (I called it dead battery loop but I don't know if this behavior has a proper name). The phone becomes quickly hot while the battery stays cold. I read that someone call this state of the battery as "deep sleep" of the battery controller.
Before buying another battery I tried this and it worked.
Please before actually do this remember that Li-ion batteries tend to catch fire and explode if overcharged or charged with inverted polarity. I am not responsible for damages to people or objects.
Needed material: 2 power cables, 1 power adapter, scissors.
1) take a power cable. Make sure it is NOT CONNECTED TO THE POWER LINE. Cut it near the type B USB port and discard the port.
2) take the cut end of the cable and remove the protective plastic to expose the 4 cables that are inside it. You only need the Red and Black ones so you can cut away the other two.
3) remove the plastic end of the red and black cables to expose the copper parts.
4) Now adjust the ends so you can easily make the red touch the + of the battery and the black the - of the battery at the same time without touching the copper with your hands. MAKE SURE THE TWO CABLES DO NOT TOUCH EACH OTHER WITH THE EXPOSED COPPER END.
5) plug the USB A port of the prepared cable to the power adapter.
6) make the red touch the + and black touch the - of the battery at the same time for 10 seconds. Remember if the battery starts to heat before the end of the 10 seconds STOP IMMEDIATELY and trash it (not in the normal trash but in dedicated ones).
6) unplug the modified cable from the adapter.
7)plug the second cable into the power adapter. Insert the battery into the device and plug the power cable.
8)now the battery should be charging as usual. It is better if you wait until it is completely charged before turning the device on, or at least wait until it is at least 10% charged.
I hope this tip was useful.
I attached the pictures of the modified cable.
Hi here are the pictures.

Turning galaxy tab s 8.4 into a wall clock. Socket power, no battery. Need feedback.

Hi,
A little bit of background:
I had previously converted my original nexus tablet into a clock. I followed a guide on YouTube by cutting the wires from the battery. Then, just connecting the red wires from the battery to a spliced up micro USB cable (red wires). Trimming all other wires. Cut a hole at the back of the case so that the USB port can pass through and connecting straight to the USB charger. The modified clock has been running steadily for more than 5 years now. Aside from power failures which I need to turn it on and turn on the clock app back, no other issues. The battery indicator is 0%, but charging. Direct power, no battery in tablet.
So I thought the same technique would work for the galaxy tab s 8.4. Did the same like the nexus tablet. It kind of work, until I noticed the battery is draining. It starts at full charge (100%), then it will slowly drain to 0% and the battery will die. At first I thought I did a bad job at soldering or connnecting the wires, but after a week of trial and error, I finally found the problem. With the tab s, direct connection does not work. The battery appears full, then slowly charges down. The tablet does not detect a charge, even when it is actually connected to the wall.
Does anyone know how to fix this problem?
One method I did think was rewiring the battery csbles so that it loops to itself. Red to red, black to black, without the spliced micro USB cable. Then power will come directly from the micro USB port. I noticed that if I connect the charger to the port, there is a charge. But since I have two power sources going to the tablet, connecting through USB port will cause the tablet to turn off. Maybe overload or something.
I don't think removing the battery connection and just using the micro USB port port for direct power supply will solve the problem as I did try to just connect it while removing the power source which is attached directly to the battery. It did register a charge, but it can't turn on.
Thanks.
You may be able to fix this with a resistor, but I really don't know much about that at all.
I know you can make a "download mode" cable, to get certain devices into download mode...
Here's another - .

[Q] Note 8 power issue cable won't charge?

Well my Samsung galaxy Note 8 won't charge using the plug and cable (original ones), like nothing is there
And tested different plugs too like note 5 plug and my old htc m8 plug too nothing works, but when i plug the usb cable directly to my laptop it charges slowly but does charge, yet if i left it in my laptop and let my laptop go to standby mode (the phone continues to charge) , when i try to open the laptop again it short power and i have to drain the extra electrical surge in the laptop by holdomg down the power key for 20 seconds then restart else it doesn't even power up.
In short, i went to a mobile shop and upon visual inspection and trying different cables and plugs there they told me that the phone has extra surge in power that needs to be drained. But this process requires opening the phones back which will break the glass and i don't want that.
Does anyone have similar problems or know how to fix this?
