HTC One M7 stock ROM - random freezes after update to Andoid 5 - One (M7) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I have HTC One M7, stock ROM, unbranded, S-OFF only, and I am experiencing random freezes after update to Andoid 5 few weeks ago.
I never had any performance problems before. Now, phone grinds to halt few times a day, I have to wait from 1 to 5 minutes until it unfreezes and is usable, I have a random restart once every ~2 weeks, and 75% of times copying any data from PC (tried Windows 7 and CentOS Linux) to phone freezes the phone completely and only hard reboot helps. Accessing data i.e. movies / music sometime takes a few seconds (but this is minor problem comparing to the previous ones)
Some applications cause parts of the operating system to crash (this is my wild guess as how would I know what is really hapening there)- yesterday I used Skype and phone "restarted" - had HTC One boot up screen on, but still continued Skype conversation for another 10 minutes, had to hard restart phone afterwards as could not hand up or anything else.
I have tried restoring to factory settings - no difference.
Any idea what's wrong? Is this a known issue? Halp.
Tempted to try custom ROM / flashing RUU and never updating to Android 5.

fyi: I have wiped everything and installed custom ROM 2 days ago and problem seems to be gone.

[Q] My N1 always hangs

hi
I have got a Nexus ,just after i got it i unlocked and root it after it changed the Rom .
now it hangs most time for example when i plug the charger sometime it hangs and a big X with an open lock appears and i have no way else to remove the battery.
and some time when i use the GPS and navigation it restarts.
i have tried many Roms and Radios but even when i want to go to recovery it hangs too ,and sometimes no.
i tried to switch to ERD79 (fastboot commands)but i found out that when i finish it,still the radio Ver. is 4.06.00.12_7 .
when i change the Rom or radio it restarts and restarts and some time hangs again.
so please help me to solve this problem
thanks
Did you wipe the data?
yeah ,
every time i wiped data .
what's your version of Hboot and recovery?
HBOOT-0.35.0017
recovery Build RA-nexus-V1.8.0.1
really need help ,i can not use the phone .
it sounds like a hardware problem, but could you try a new ROM see if the problem is still there?
well ,last night i tried cyanogen 6.1 with radio 5.12.00.08 but still have problems.
how can i become sure about the hardware problem ?
is there any test or something like this ??
few days ago one of my friends told me to try RUU.
actually i don't know what is RUU and where i can find it.
i have searched for it and found some for desire but not for nexus.

No Service / Reboot / Not Responding

So randomly I will lose service (cell and data) and sometimes also com.htcdialer will stop responding, sometimes not. Sometimes also, it will be fine and then randomly reboot and start back up with no service. The service only comes back randomly as well. I will reboot several times and eventually the sim setup notification will pop up and once I select my carrier (simple mobile, but the only option to select is for t mobile) it will work again for a while and then the whole thing will happen again.
It used to be fine until I updated from ARHD 31.6 or 62.0 (I can't remember) to ARHD 71.1. I tried going with viper 6.2, maximus hd 42.0, arhd 6.1 GE and even stock kitkat with sense 6 from arhd. None of these made a difference. I tried full wipes, new firware/radio, even tried going back to ardh 31.6 (which used to work perfectly for me) and still no luck. I have the same issue and its killing me.
If anyone could help me I would love you forever. Thanks.
Quick update:
I went completely stock with the RUU (kept S-OFF though) and still have this problem. I'm thinking its a hardware issue now

[Q] Can't connect to mibile network or wifi cant make calls or send recieve texts

Ok Kinda long but want to cover everything:
So I rooted my htc one m8 (sprint) about 6 months ago I have twrp recovery and I flashed android revolution 8. A few months later I installed android revolution 11 no problems with it what so ever. A cpl days ago I tried to flash android revolution 22 but had no luck just kept boot looping and I lost everything on my phone after some research It seems I wouldnt be able to go to kit kat 4.4.4 without going back to stock rom so I relocked my bootloader ran rom utility updater and flashed it back to stock and reset up my phone tried to flash over to android revolution again after unlocking bootloader and all that good stuff still did not work so just decided to go back to stick 4.4.4 kept bootloader locked and didn't re root my phone didn't see much of a need to at this point could only seem to use stock but anyway after a day or so of phone running just fine well today it wont connect to my mobile network or wifi (can't make or receive phone calls can't send or receive texts and am unabke to get any internet on my phone wont even connect to wif) I have even restored the phone from original back-up that I had also tried 2 other back-ups of stock roms the phone is pretty much just an mp3 player at this point sprint said everything was fine on their end nothing they can do all the icons are there for 4g and wifi and such the phone shows me its connected to sprint shows signal strength and all that so I don't know whats wrong and don't think htc will help me since I rooted it hopefully some one here can i'm
well I must be screwed if over 300 views on my post and not reply well that's what I get I guess
As far as I know ARHD is not Sprint compatible so you probably messed up your partitions.
RUU will fix it.
Only flash roms that are in the Sprint section.
Apart from compatibility off ARHD to Sprint M8 ... There is also that dreaded HTC service pack that was released on 11th Dec which screwed the network n Wi-Fi on my phone (stock Rom)
First time itty happened due to auto update install via play store and started working after I did multiple attempts at cache delete through TWRP
2nd time even after researching and knowing the service pack was the culprit I thought I should try...ending up with factory reset...so do check it
If you too had that service pack installed
Btw even htc acknowledges the sh#@ this update is causing to the phones and wants to collect more data... I don't know if anything else can be called a legit rip off or not...

[Q] T-Mo US possible damaged radio or partition corruption; Baseband: Unknown

I was trying to post my post, but it was flagged and blocked by the system, probably because I kept previewing it, so until I can post it, I'm going to be really brief about the latest news on my problem.
I have a T-Mo US HTC One that's now S-Offed, running CWM recovery, and running 4.19.531.10 firmware+radio. It's running Android Revolution HD 91.1, and the first error from before I did any of this was "Failed to powerup external modem!" The phone would randomly reboot and such. Now, it's running normally except for the fact that I can't get the phone part of it to work. I also don't think I can warranty it because I already opened it up because I managed to break the back and also changed the frame color, screen, and camera. In the settings, Baseband read as "Unknown." I'm hoping you guys here can help me fix my problem as I hope it's software related, but think it might be hardware related.
Is there any hope for this? At one point, running the ElementalX kernel and the Android Revolution HD ROM with it still S-On and running latest Radio from 7.18.531.2, if I wiped dalvik cache and kept power saver off, the radio would start and it would work fine until I turned power saver on (even if the turn mobile network off part was off).

seems like you went to a lot of trouble for a $100 phone
you can find a decent replacement on eBay cheap
Meanwhile you can update your firmware to the latest it will match the rom that way
I'm a little reluctant to change anything now. I just finished flashing the ElementalX kernel and did a dalvik-cache wipe and the phone service is working again. Assuming it's just like before, power saver should cause it to fail again.
I'm busy now, so I'll do a nandroid backup when I can later and try the RUU for the firmware again. The RUU kept failing on me before and htc_fastboot.exe would crash. I don't know how to decrypt the rom zip to manually flash it.
Edit: Any idea why using the ElementalX Kernel and wiping Dalvik-Cache makes the radio work again? It seems relatively stable right now (Powersaver off, it's not very stable with it on).

Mobile data disconnect every 15 seconds

Hi
I have a problem with my sprint M8, i installed the offical 6.0.1 rom from other post (wich i didnt receive any help of the poster) and after that my mobile data disconnects every 15 seconds and remain connected other 15 seconds, i been searching similiar problems and i saw that is the radio problem but i already flashed many of them and the problem remains, does anyone has a similar problem? and how did you solve it? please help :crying::crying::crying:
I am running the original BB rom Version 1.1 still from day one when I got this phone.
I have had the same problems when I have tried other roms Like BB Marshmallow (won't even install)
ViperOne marshmallow rom installs but NO 4G, ICE 8.2 also has problems.
I am using TWRP 2.8.4 even when I update TWRP to 3.0.2 I only get fast boot LOOSE recovery
So all in all I just go back to my ( Bad_Boyz_Sprint_ONE_M8_Harman_v1.1 )on a NON HK M8 and everything works good
