Patch for 60 fps recording? - Nexus 6 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Is there any patch to enable 60 fps recordings on Nexus 6?

My question is not for 60 fps, how the heck can this camera improve.....it sucks badly. Poor focus on it. Good phone, bad camera

Poor focus?
Is the only one that it can enable manual focus!!
The other thing is that you dont want to buy any good camera app!
Try cinema fv-5 and camera fv-5
Or open camera!
But I want too the 60 fps patch!

From my understanding the camera is capable of at least 60 fps and it is really the software side that is lacking. (Someone correct me if im wrong please) But i havnet seen or found any way to improve the Frames per second.

Can I change video fps somewhere? It seems that fps from main camera is something around 7 fps BUT if taking video from second camera (VGA) fps is somewhere around 13-15 fps. Any change to get better main camera video?
I am with you at the same boat... Back camera is taking bad videos at low frame rate, specially indoor....
Some one help us please
If it doesnt have enough light, it seems like it needs to compensate. When you are in daylight (even clouded), the quality seems to be pretty damn good. But in-doors.. I agree.. It's sub-pathetic.
I got the same problem, maybe the maincamera has too many functions, and that bugs the Framerate....

Record with your nexus 5 in 3264x2448 (almost 4K)

Since the release of Lollipop Google introduced us new API for camera and that feature is really epic. Developer Chih Mao Chen made camera app for lollipop in which our phone nexus 5 is able to record in almost 4k resolution.
Download Android L camera app here:
https://github.com/PkmX/lcamera/blob/master/lcamera-debug.apk?raw=true
Note: all credits goes to developer who made this app, I'm only sharing this with you guys and sorry if this is already posted.
[QUOTE=Isus um there isn't anything there
Works fine for me.
Is the quality difference significant?

Low FPS for sure . and no it doesn't look that good .. Too much noise
For me its very crisp, sharp. I really love it, and it really surprises me that N5 camera can shoot 4K videos
This is a Duplicate thread!!
Below is the original. All discussions are ongoing there. It would be more helpful if all interested members can discuss there[emoji4]

It doesn't for me. It's probably the camera that worked fine on 4K but the snapdragon 800 SoC that couldnt handle 4k Probably.

Use manual exposure and it records 30 FPS for sure.
Also, Snapdragon 800 does support 4K, it's the camera that doesn't (3264x2448 is 8 MP, 4K is 3840 x 2160; not enough horizontal pixels).

stabilzation in 1080 60 fps

Hi, has stabilization for 1080p 60 fps video been added or at least improved in latest updates. Who can confirm this ????
Never come OIS on 60 fps maybe!!! maybe eis possibble.but yet no
Saw this sample on youtube
It shows a well stabilized 60fps FHD video from the p20 pro.
Can anyone (having the latest soft update) test 60 fps FHD video Stabilization to figure out that

Bare in mind that YouTube stabilizes videos automatically.

In that case we would never notice unstabilized p20 pro videos from youtube posted videos

Well you can see some ghosting but it does a decent job
Google photos can also stabilise videos.
But you just can't beat OIS

That s true. Huawei should at least implement EIS gyroscope based

They can add a form of EIS but it'll never be brilliant, it's one of the reasons I wanted a new phone, the OnePlus 5 only had EIS, it's just not good enough.
With the pro though, 800 quid and no OIS throughout? Terrible to be honest.
Anyone has a credible explanation as to why OIS is not present at 1080 60? I can understand it not being available in higher resolutions but really at 1080 60, on a flagship with is marketed as (and by many agreed to be) the best camera phone of the market it's just not acceptable. Found out while waiting for my order to ship and am pretty pi$$ed.
Can we at least hope it will be added with a sw update in the future or it's not possible technically? Is the P20Pro sensor's OIS somehow bound to the 30fps?

P20 pro never had ois on its main camera, the rgb and mono. It only has ois on the telephoto 8mp lens to assist with too much vibration while zooming. The 1080p 30fps only uses eis/ais.

1080p @30fps has to be OIS??
I've been at the absolute maximum zoom limit whilst recording and the stabilization is amazing, if that's EIS then it's incredible and a lot better than any OIS i've ever seen on any device, I would say at 1080p 30fps it has OIS unless as i said it's got the best implementation of EIS i've ever seen.
Also @ the OP.
OIS by all accounts is available in the cameras on a hardware level but it's not been implemented, i read this a while ago about the p20 pro, whether or not they'll have this as a feature at some point I don't know, it wouldn't be unlike Huawei to add features but not make them active.

I read somewhere that the rgb and mono hardware moving is for autofocus not ois. It's ais (ai stabilizer) that making the recording good at stabilizing.
Oh not to mention xperia's steady shot is EIS and not OIS and it's pretty good.
So, if it's all digital, does it make even more sense to expect it being available in the future on resolutions greater than 1080 30? I mean at least 1080 60 should be standard in 2018 flagships!
I bought a gimbal for $90... Im hoping this would do the trick for 4k stabilization...

My thoughts exactly. I am one click away form ordering the Zhiyun Smooth Q. Then again I know the AIS on the P20 Pro works superbly so I can maybe limit my videos to 1080 30? Decisions decisions...

Yes it's AIS. And Sony uses the same excellent stabilisation. Better than OIS hands down. I had Sony phone before. Just a shame that Huawei didn't implement it at 4k and at 60fps.

Yea it's absolutely amazing. Never seen anything like it..
yeah EIS is good.. but it crops the image too much. I prefer OIS
So sad you’ll had to buy an stabilizer device.... having the most powerfull mobile in photos of 2018.... I have my iPhone 7 Plus with FHD/60fps with stabilization in fact.... better videos with a mobile of 2016...

Question Xiaomi has the worst slow motion between all the brands. Why?

As title.
My Snapdragon 888 ufs 3.1 phone isn't able to shot a slow motion video at 720p 480FPS for more than three seconds.
Is this a joke? What is the sense of a 3 seconds video?
My ancient OnePlus 6 can shot a 720p 480Fps video for 60 seconds.
Why Xiaomi is so poor in this matter even considering that they advertised the slow motion feature so much?
I think the basic camera is not great but have you tried gcam it offers better functionality or anx camera

Google camera crashes when trying to record a slow motion video.
Anx camera doesnt le me record slowmotions video.
How can Xiaomi advertise with such emphasis when they have the worst slow motion of the market

Question Video with 150 degree ?

Hi,
is there any mod to shot video with the 150 degree camera sensor?
I know there could be some limitation in video quality or framerate, but is there any way to do it?
Shooting only pics with it is a huge limitation
Thanks guys
