I also tried with 4.4.2 but it didn't work (it didn't show the blue botton to start)
I just used KingRoot 4.1 (download it here: http://www.kingroot.net/down) and I have root + Knox at 0 I'm running KitKat 4.4.2.

The first post yes, but not all 51 pages. I mentioned the alternative download link, as the one attached in the thread didn't work for me and the main site contains an updated version
It's done what I needed it for (allowed me to delete bloatware and freeze OS updates), so I am happy. I only mentioned my success, plus posted proof as others in this thread hadn't had success and thought it may help others.

Nope, you still didn't pay any attention to either the whole point of this thread or the actual link in the first post.
I already posted a link to the Official xda thread with the latest ENGLISH version which is 4.1 and what the link in the first post points to.

Yeah i perfectly understood that. The software I downloaded directly from their site was in English (as you can see from the image) and that's the only bit of software I needed to gain root and do what I needed to do. Yes there is another app installed as well that is in Chinese, but as that is only for conserving battery power, I didn't use it anyway.

I see we're going to go round in circles with this, so I'll leave it there.
I think it is best. I'm happy with the result I got and was just advising others who were unsuccessful that there was another option, as the one linked in that thread didn't work on my Tab S, but the different version on their site did. I didn't expect a whole discussion as to whether or not I could understand the English language or basic instructions.
ROOTING FAILED
I tried the android and the pc version on my T800 10.5" running kitkat v4.4.2 never flashed or rooted before, the pc version detected my T800, but the rooting failed, the same as the android version.
So it was a big waste of time for me.

Kingroot relies on cloud to find root solution. Giving up right away means connection is not properly established. Make sure your WiFi is on, and not restricted(e.g. company network), then try again.

If you try to many times it blocks any more tries with that version. Whatever version you're using try another version. If it's 4.1 use v4 then try 4.1 again if that doesn't work.

Can't remove system apps? Grab the app 'Parcel' from Google play. Uninstall the apps 3 times in a row, then reboot.

Sorry, first line in that thread is "**You can begin the following process from any build/ROM but you must have both root and Safestrap installed before proceeding**".
No other suggestions?
Why don't you downgrade to an old firmware and then update with the thread I posted? Don't know about rooting on a g900v as I've got a G900F
It seems that many 925A'ers are not leaving this forum to find out that YES, we have root! The unnecessary questions, comments, doubts are starting to pile up, so maybe this is the best way to ensure everyone knows that YES (again), we have root. If that won't drive you crazy, it should at least get you warned for not following forum rules and searching instead of posting for no reason..... If that user searched, they would have easily found this thread showing you exactly how to root the 925A!
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3103016
To be 110% clear....... this was developed by @idler1984, NOT me, so thank them - all credit goes to them, I'm just trying to keep the 925A forum cleared up if at all possible!
ENJOY!
EDIT - and because someone asked........ Root has been achieved for both OCE and the 5.13.15 OE2 update
EDIT 2 - and because more people can't read, you CANNOT root anything past May 15th builds, so none of the OF_ updates, nothing that comes out after May 15th, so don't update unless you want to lose root! The information is all there in the thread linked above, if you don't read, you don't have anyone to blame but yourself!
Good job. Was thinking of doing the same.
omg thank you. by the way that first quote was mine sorry. and i did search to no avail. thanks a bunch for clearing this up. and ill try to be more thorough with my search next time.

Okay, that makes sense then, OC9 instead of what I thought you were talking about, "OE9" which I guess does not exist (yet?)
They skipped that one because OE2 is out and there's no need to get the build in the middle developed, from what I can tell.... I've been wrong before though! Just hit your software update and get OE2 then root that, it has the most updates we're going to see before 5.1.1 comes out next month (still more speculating, but that's an informed guess this time based on lots of reading up on the new Galaxy from across the web)

2. No new ROM can be supported as bug has been fixed.
Full story:
New bootloader blocks downgrading, be careful installing 5.1.1 OTA!
Kernel built after May 15th (including some 5.0.2 and all 5.1.1) have this bug fixed. Be cautious when installing OTA these days and FlashFire might be your best shot of upgrading systems. Use Odin to unroot and receive OTA if you want.

I also get the error trying to load the google plus page, as stated above though they did post that same picture on their facebook page .
There is a comment on that picture by a facebook user saying "Samsung S6 Edge (SM-G925V) is not supported as it says in this post.".
To be fair theres no mention to whether this user tried Android 6.0.0 or 5.1.1 or whatever so it does not completely destroy all hope of Kingroot working, but it certaintly doesn't help

That was my comment! I decided to give it a try and see if it worked. I downloaded the APK version to my phone and it just gave me an error message. I haven't gotten the chance to try the desktop version yet as I only have a Macbook and my Windows PC is still at home. I had hoped if I commented on the Facebook page that someone from Kingroot would have gotten back to me. They didn't. I'll keep everyone in the loop if I make anymore headway on it.

I did check the guide, and that firmware/OTA post.
If you had actually checked the OTA links, you'd see that the needed update isn't there. The last OTA available to download from the guide is 6.6, which i'm already on.
I've sent in a ticket through the update app and hopefully they'll reply soon.

You'd think that!
Truth is, I couldn't find a single mention of this issue anywhere online, except here.
I've rooted phones before (using guides from XDA even), but i'm not in a position to load custom firmware on this particular phone. I'm using it as a cheap work-phone and the company i work for explicitly require the device not to be rooted or the OS modified in any unofficial way unless needed for development. But XDA is a good resource for finding stock images and is the most active online resource I trust when it comes to android phones.
I contacted Blu and they told me to delete the app data but it still didn't work for me. Also my update is V7.4.2

There are some updates "captured" from other users posted in the forum. Up to v6.6 is listed in the index , linked already.
This link is for update from 7.4.2 up to 8.3

and here too (same 7.4.2 to 8.3)

But if the OTA app is not working maybe there is something else wrong.
Do you have sdcard installed? (shouldn't mater but if so try removing it)
Are you connected to wifi?
Maybe Blu is blocking updates because they had posted that roll back.

https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=72128380&postcount=2
and here too (same 7.4.2 to 8.3)
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=72146824&postcount=37
But if the OTA app is not working maybe there is something else wrong.
Do you have sdcard installed? (shouldn't mater but if so try removing it)
Are you connected to wifi?
Maybe Blu is blocking updates because they had posted that roll back.

Removing SD card didn't help, any way of getting past the signature verification thing?
I have unlocked SM-N960U and I seem to be unable to get Samsung+ to display the banner for oneUI beta, I then tried several times to do it manually by doing ODIN but I keep getting port problem even after uninstalling and reinstalling the USB cable driver and restarting the computer.
I followed these instructions as posted in another thread

Don't use Odin with that firmware. That's not for your device. That's for N960F. Yours is N960U. I believe you have the snapdragon version. This firmware is for the exynos model. Please be careful not to brick your phone. Always properly read the instructions and thread titles.
Maybe someone else can help you with the snapdragon pie version as I own the exynos model. Good luck.
That xda link you posted is also for N960F. Be careful.

The beta is closed now. And there's no reason to start a whole new thread. There's already a out four threads talking about installing the beta on Snapdragon devices. Use the search bar. Read those threads. If you can't find your answers, then you can ask questions in a pre-existing thread. Although considering the EXACT steps you need to take to install the beta have been spelled out several times (many time by me in various threads), you will find your answers if you take time to look for them.
Honestly though, and I'm genuinely not trying to be mean, but if you have not researched enough to know what version of trh Note 9 you have, or the differences in the versions of the Note 9 or consequences of flashing the wrong firmware, then playing around ODIN is not for you. You need to do some reading and research before you irreversibly brick your thousand dollar phone.
I too have an Xfinity phone and these are the steps I took.

Yes. The beta is closed. But you can go to firmware.science and download the beta update zip. ZRKP.
Again, what you linked him to is NOT the Pie beta or the beta build.
Thanks guys I will just do that.

I'm thinking about trying out the Pie Beta and wanted to try this.
It looks like you're using odin to flash the phone to a firmware thats compatible with the beta update, and than using the traditional update method to actually update to Pie.
I'm really nervous about doing this since I can't find original versions of my firmware (Meaning I can't go back), did everything still work for you? My understanding is that the feature you might lose is Wifi calling, which is an important reason why Xfinitity is so much cheaper.
If you download and run Phone INFO by *Samsung* (Not quotes, stars), does it say your CSC code is CCT?
Thanks

Wifi calling is working for me on the CRL9. Yes Xfinity phone are CCT.
Here is the link for the only CCT firmware I have found: https://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/galaxy-note9/SM-N960U/CCT/
It will update a few times if you have to revert back.

Thanks man, I appreciate the confirmation.
I looked through your history to see if you'd already answered it and noticed that you are also coming from and HTC M8.
You've got great taste in phones
All the links I find to the PIE firmware to flash it are not working and the signup for the beta is closed now. Can someone please post or send me a message to a link to get it

Yes you did. You need to go to the main beta thread and do some reading. The updates are linked directly there.
