Has anyone had problems with battery life on 270? I was just checking a few sites and I noticed my batter had dropped from 30% to 13%. Even when charging in jumping to a significant higher %, withough much charging.
Right man i have the same problem...

post screenshot of battery usage. Did u do a factory reset ?
Will post screenshot later when generated more battery usage on it, only showing three things since I took it off charge. Phone was on 88% before I restated my phone now on 71%. I wiped my phone in twrp after I flagged 270, its the same thing I did with 242.

I have normal battery usage with .270. try doing a factory reset and a battery calibration if you still have the problem
Just done factory reset, apps installing. Will do battery calibration.

What is battery calibration? And btw i did the same exact thing you did dirty flash from kk to 5.0.1 to 270. And battery is fine just clear cache and dalvik then reboot and monitor the phone during 3 days to a week the battery needs to learn your usage. Also is recommend to debloat search the forum or find an attached debloating script I forgot which thread i downloaded it from.
As debloating is recommended then I'm sure that uninstalling programs you don't need also helps with battery life.
I'm getting a full day usage on mediocre usage whatsapp camera pirate kings boom beach calls all of those on WiFi with good signal. If it were on 4g or 3g battery will die half a day usage.
Sorry for the long post I just thought I'd give my two dimes on the matter

no battery problems here on .270 . The battery life is better that on initial lollipop build and the fhd 60fps is fixed .

My phone is almost fully charged then I am going to see what happens, after I do what is posted in the link, think I will do the dalvik and cache as well, just to be on safe side, didn't really do much with my phone yesterday when it happened, so not sure why it jumped down significantly.
Will post what happens.
Might try the dalvik and cache first as I am not wanting to delete the file and then wait till my battery dies just to charge it to full and then go on using it as normal, as it is too time consuming.

Right so I have gone with just wiping dalvik and cache as battery calibration is for older phones with android 2.2 I think Phones today do not require that, although a way to do it I have read is to charge your phone, drain it, charge it up again and drain it once more to force It to calibrate, however I am not willing to do this yet either as it is time consuming.
EDIT - Wiping the Dalvik Cache and the Cache did nothing for me, without even touching my phone, battery jumped from 89 to 69 in a matter of mins.
Ah I did those steps after flashing hehe. Thanks

Well I think if it happens again I am going to create a new pre-root firmware and leave out xposed and 4k camera mod and see how it runs without them as I added them in the first firmware.
Edit - Letting the battery die yesterday and charging it must have helped. Charged the phone last night and left it through the night and down to about 71% and the battery info days I have 1 day and about 4 hours to go.
Ok so I spoke to soon, battery was on 33% and died, so I am going to re-download the 270 firmware using expierfirm and create the firmware without xposed and 4k support and see how that works, if it goes fine, then I know if will be either a bad download or one of those things.
So I have managed to get through one drain without it switching off early but I am finding that battery is recording the wrong levels of charge, I was on about 40% charge when I restarted my phone and am now on 77%. Its there anyway to sort this?

You need to calibrate your battery, fully discharge and fully charge and it will return to normal I guess
Wrong, since updating to lp, my drain issues started, its well documented that lp does this. A battery replacement fixed the problem.

You blame LP draining your battery?
Since you replaced your battery it seems it wasn't really good anymore.
I am on LP too and I haven't got any single battery problem.
Funny as its been documented that lollipop caused the problem, and that a battery replacement fixes the problem. Also I didn't have drain issues under Kk.

My battery time has gone down 50% ever since a few days ago. I did not flash a new ROM, kernel, or modem, or anything via CWM. So I'm guessing its an new or updated application that is causing it.
Anyway to know how much each application is using the battery? Partial wakeup from Spare Parts shows Android system as the most.

Ok well my suggestion would be to reset your battery stats and do a few full cycles (100% to 0, charge to 100%.. rince and repeat) - It took me 3-4 full cycles before getting great battery life, some people took up to 7-8 full cycles so I guess patience and time will tell

Your Android OS is draining your battery waaay too much. Does MIUI still have the Android OS bug? Reboot into recovery and clear cache and davlik cache, and continue monitoring the Android OS. It should be less than 10%.
Hi.
Thanks for the advice.
I did what u said. battery usage android os 31% and sys 29% but when i change for unplugged usage it shows sys 18% OS 9%. The previous is the total usage. Do u think its fine?

I believe the default options in Google Talk is to have it login automatically. I never used it before, but when I first got an i9000 I remember going through apps I didn't use, and noticed that Google Talk—even though I never, ever used it—was signing it and staying signed in the entire time I had my phone. I quickly got rid of it (although you could probably just turn off the automitic login).
hi guys!
THX for the ideas but I got one yesterday from another forum. I just wiped in recovery mode the darwick memory or what and now its perfect. I charged the battery fully yesterday at 17:55. Was playing and using wifi ,still have around 20%.

wipe dalvik , wipe cash , format
then put miui on your sdcard and flash it
after that , clear dalvik cash and wipe cash partition again
calibrate your battery using battery calibration app ,
reboot.
the problem should be solved , but i must tell you , miui is battery HUNGRY and u will NOT get more than 3-4 hours screen time
You could try Juicedefender. That should buy you some time!

I find apps like this normally do the opposite, Just another service eating up CPU power. Also don't judge a ROM's battery from the 1st charge. Calibrate and the battery tends to settle.. Though IMO Cm7 ftw, 2 days usage from it

I sort of agree, but it depends on how much battery the app is saving you. Sure, it takes some CPU usage to be able to work, but if it's saving you 5x as much battery by doing so, then it's obviously beneficial. Lots of people swear by Juice Defender, so it must work as such.
Hello ppls. I've seen a lot of posts about high battery drain. I am wondering about my battery life.
So, i unplugged my SGS at 10am,said 100% when i unplugged it dropped to 96% (i read its normal, the protection against overcharge), left at 10.30 listened to 1h of music,15m of just twiking, writing 1 sms,at 13:30 already 59%
Faze II: 15m on facebook via wifi,wrote 5 sms,played 10 mins- 39%
III 1h music +10m gaming+ 15m twiking, at 8pm 20%.
IV about 5m of audio recording, and probabably about 10m of gaming->10% at 12:30 am next day.
No 3g, wifi only when using internet apps, using juice defender ultimate.
I'm using Darky's rom 10.1 . I bought the phone with this rom, and i can't flash a new one cause i can't connect it to my pc in anyway(same on other pc's too)
To the battery : Is this normal? Thx
Hi
I've been lurking these forums looking for this but haven't found anything quite like this. The P880 prides itself on great standby battery life but mine is draining more than my previous Motorola RAZR (not the maxx). It never lasts more than about 14-15 hours and that is when i do almost nothing. One, two calls a few messages with no wifi and data off. I have factory reset the phone a few times and whiped the cache. I've tried not installing any software when done and fully charging but still it drains. I'm on v10f but this was a problem before I updated as well.
My only thought is that the battery is flawed, but I don't want to wait 2 weeks for it in repairs if it isn't (the service here is slow and customer support is weak when it comes to this, here in Iceland)
I took screenshots of the drainage. 90% of that is me not using the phone at all. Is this normal? Should I ask for a new battery? The phone is about 3 weeks old btw.

Same here man but didn't diseabled auto sync and broadcoast cell yet so I'm curious if I go sleep and wake up how much juice it took from my 4xHD. Something is sucking out the juice out of our phones.
The only thing that update did change with me is the heath it didn't get as hot as before but my battery is still eating a lot even when is standby.

Try to do a factory reset, the update didn't help me until I did a factory reset. Now my 4X HD only looses about 1-2% over night vid auto sync, before factory reset I lost about 30-40%.

I use GO Power Master to auto switch to Alarm mode (only alarm, brightness 30%), and the phone eat less than 1% of battery for 6 hours. (firmware V10f)
I cannot see the attached images (don't know why) but I think you should check how long your phone is Awake, Screen On, Wifi and GPS On... then see which apps are cause the drainage.
Also, give the battery more recharge cycles. The battery life on first 2 cycles was catastrophic - for example it lost 4% just by rebooting, but after few days it stabilized to my ordinary each 2nd day charging cycle when turned off in the night. The biggest battery eater seems to be for me display brightness.
Batterylife with 10F is pretty good. Over night I dont lose any battery (data off) and during the day with autosync on only ~2 percent per hour. This is even better than the Samsung Galaxy S2 which I previously used. I did set CPU max speed to 1,1GHz with SetCPU.

Here is my ss. Why the hell android system is the higher? Ive used many android device before, seems this is not normal. Deep sleep is going well according to cpu spy.
battery life is really relative
it varies on users to users
it depends on many things:
- brightness display settings, auto vs manual
- apps installed, some are consistently running on the background
- data connection, this is the biggest drainer, depending on your area, you may get strong or weak signal(weak means your phone will tend to consistently trying to look for better connection from the network resulting to more drain in battery)
- etc., etc.
bottomline, don't worry about it too much unless the drain is really really horrible
personally, my TX is horrible in 3G but that is expected
Thank you for replying, may u check my screen shot, i just upload it. and please tell me is this also happen to ur device? normal/not normal?
I once had this problem and solved it by wiping cache and dalvik cache. System isn't supposed to use most resources on the phone
But even with system using that much battery you don't have a bad battery life.
I usually don't end up with 50% battery after 12 hours (usually I'm already drained by then )

My battery life is pretty terrible. Running stock, power saver, and Snapdragon battery guru. I have to charge the phone 2-3 times a day. I use in moderately to light through the day. At night, it will drain almost completely while I'm asleep. I had a Nexus 4 before and battery life was way better than this, same location, same apps, etc. I don't feel like I should need to turn data and wi-fi off to get more than 6 hours of virtually idle phone life from this device. Is this typical?
I find the phone is hot a lot too, when I am not even using it.

Definitely not typical...
I'm fully stock and not rooted. If I dont touch my phone it can last over 24 hours with data on (noticed this one weekend when I was too busy to play with the phone).
I use the Battery Widget Reborn app and it says a "Fully charged battery usually lasts: 18 hours 8 minutes" for me.
Sounds like theres definitely some kind of app in the background thats draining your battery and making your phone hot.
This is pretty typical battery life for me with data always switched on on a rooted stock 4.2.2 rom and was also pretty much identical on an unrooted stock 4.1.2 rom.
The main thing that saves me a ton of battery life is disabling apps that I don't use. By far and away the Facebook app is a massive culprit for killing battery life.
I'm very interested to see the gsam results when you post them.

Well it's a definite improvement over the sort of battery life you were describing before. There are always ways of improving battery life but as has been said many times before it's all a case of where and how you use your phone that will be the main factor.
