Seidio Innocase

Hey i was just wondering if anyone has purchased the Innocase Active model? If so how do you like it, and if not if you have purchased a case from Seidio before whats your opinion on the quality of the product? Bought a case from Verizon and just didnt like how it felt so cheap.

Holy crap, I was just about to post pictures anyway and this saves the forum from a new thread. I just got mine in the mail about 15 minutes ago, and here are some pics. I like the feel of the back better than the gradient case from Verizon, but I don't think the front will be everyone's cup of tea. It's basically a gel cover that is covered on the back and corners by a hard casing. I like the look, but my only gripe is that the soft cover completely covers the power and volume buttons and really changes the feel of using any of these buttons. I'll get used to it though.

The active case is awesome! I threw my standard innocase away after it scratched the sides of my phone. The silicone inner case on the active should prevent any scratching and it feels very solid.

Yeah, I like the feel of the case, it feels solid without being overly bulky. I've been pretty happy with the purchase!

Picked up a burgundy version of the Active case which arrived today.
VERY easy to install and take back off if you need access to the battery. Nice cushioney feel to it. I'm sure this will give the unit some bounce off the concrete floor that I've been dreading. Slides in and out of the pocket without sticking.
Good deal.
Got burgundy instead of black because I wanted it to have some color. The burgundy is very dark so it is a nice look.
BTW.. I use a Zagg screen protector which I've had on the device when I got it as well.

Is this case easy to remove?

Actually yes. The hard shell pry's off fairly easy and the under silicon cover is easy to remove.

That sounds pretty good. I've been looking for a case that I could take off basically anytime I feel like it. Would I risk damaging the case (or warping it in some way) if I was taking it off all the time?

Any chance this case would work with a big battery if you left the rear panel off and just put the case on?

Wouldn't make sense to pay $30 for a case with the hard shell and not use it.
Cheaper to just get a silicon case and use that.

The seidio innocase 2 scratched the Hell out of my incredibles bezel.... I'm using the Verizon silicon one until my active case arrives. The innocase 2 seems to look better than the active case and the Verizon one but whatever it scratched my phone.

No i was talking about the battery cover on the phone. Not the plastic cover that comes with the case.

The Seidio Active is amazing! I had the body glove, but it broke from constant falling/busting open, which is good because the phone's still in great shape. Anyhow I ordered the Active from Amazon earlier this week and it fits the device very well! it's super tight and very slim. I really like how the screen lip is so small that you can still wipe your finger right over it, it's part of the neoprene inner case, great form factor. I am still very impressed with the slimness compared to my former case.

Excellent. I have bought one through Amazon, though the price is astronomical (because of unusual shape), it is worth the money. In initial days I did a lot of SD card swap, SIM swap so the rubber loosened up a little bit, but it is keeping my phone like new in spite of a few bumps.

I have the otterbox case and I think it changes the angle at which the usb/charge cable is attached.
I think over time it is going to cause damage to the micro usb slot.

Otterbox is way too thick and bulky. I prefer SGP Ultra Capsule Case

It already did. At least I managed to break the little cover in a few weeks. And yes there is a high potential that even the contacts will get damaged if not handled carefully through the slot.

I was actually thinking about taking a dremmel tool to mine and sand it down a bit. It's the top of the bevel that causes the problem. I have to agree that there is a huge potential for damage in the long term.

SGP is way better!
I've had the Zagg & the SGP.
My buddy has the Otterbox.
The Zagg doesn't look great & tends to 'smear'.
The SGP is slim fitting, firm & cushy. The screen protector is very good.
The otterbox is a big & puffy, looks like a retard's helmet.
You have to be a douche bag to use the otterbox IMHO.

I know. I'm just goofing around.
I actually only use my otterbox when I know that I'm going to be outside for a long time. I don't want to drop the phone and break it now that I have it just the way I like it!

Even though the SGP case is nice, nothing beats the look of the phone without anything on... Only use the case when I have to since I just love the look of the XT720 natural. The screen protector for SGP XT720 feels good, but I just noticed the other day a small hole in the screen protector - no idea how it happened. Fortunately it's at the bottom by the buttons and not by the actual screen so no big deal but I can't figure out how it could have gotten such a hole... wonder if that would have happened with otterbox.

my otterbox case just came in today, it fits nicely & looks pretty solid too...very pleased with it!!^^

I live in Panamà, so i order it from Ebay ...

I've had this Otterbox since I got my phone last September and have been pretty satisfied with it. I had a similar one on my Blackberry that had the hard case on the inside of the rubber case and the rubber loosened up. Not on this version....even after the numerous battery & SD card pulls during the ROM flashing fun. I do a fair amount of outside work so I feel the need to protect my phone as much as I can.
Also, I used the screen protector that came with the Otterbox, but when I had to replace my phone, it got boogered up. When the new one came, I simply left the temporary shipping screen protector on and it's done quite well.

Accidents happen (Accident After-Action Report) XD
Well I have even more love for this case. Recently I was in a bicycle accident that ripped my chin open and required many stitches. My phone/music player is always in the front synch pouch of my slingbag when I'm riding. When I flew over my handlebars and landed on my chin, I also landed right on the phone and I slid a good 3-4 feet before I stopped. While my chin was pretty messy by this time, my phone came out intact and with a lot less scratches and gauges then I thought. On the plus side, it even has a bit of soaked-in blood on the scratches that makes it look badass .
Overall, I've gotten quite a bit of value out of my initial 34.99 that I payed for it and I'm still using the case since. Hope my future replacement for my XT720 will have as good of a case as my Otterbox.

I have got my otterbox case last week from ebay India. I am completely satisfied with the item.
It looks sturdy and gripping in hand. I like the look of the phone with this case.

Great to see it in action. Now it's just the phone that's missing. But I think the back cover goes on the back or the phone and not on the case itself. Since plastic on glass will create those smudge effect that doesn't look too good tbh.
Got my cases shipped 18th of March but guess it takes abit longer to ship to Sweden than the US. Got the Crystal Clear and Smoke Crystal.

Yes Poetique is right. Ultra Hybrid has hard plastic back and a tpu frame. The Liquid Crystal has a similar look but is all TPU if you want something similar but more flexible.

If you can let update us on the fit. I got their thin fit model and it's really loose. and not snug like the same case for the S4. Apparently a lot of people are complaining about it.

Only complaint I have is that they don't fit around the camera and flash/health sensor very well, and will be distracting if the phone's out of the case at any point. And if you want to temporarily switch cases, the poor cutout will be distracting. Almost perfect, but just barely disappointing :T
At the same time, though, I'm not sure if other companies offer that back adhesive.

You guys should seriously consider the Spigen NeoHybrid. Back of case is ruberized. Sides of case, meaning total peripheral is metal. Actually feels superb to hold and you still have that sense of a metal body the naked GalaxyS6 Edge comes with. Nice larger cutouts for headphone plug as well as USB for those with larger connectors. Absolutely no regrets. I did NOT opt for the optional free front screen protector. I like the look and feel of a phone with the screen as is.

I mentioned this to Spigen, they said it's so that it doesn't catch on the case?? Not sure how that's possible, as I'm fairly sure they could have made it go right to the edge of the glass and not have any issues with the case, but oh well, maybe (I hope) they tried that before making them in this smaller size

Is it mandatory to place the back screen protector when using this case? Will the case actually scratch the back glass? Thanks in advance.

you have to decide if its worth it to you to be protected, or you don't care..frankly, since I will probably jump in 6 months to the next great thing, I don't care if the back of the phone has a few scuffs, since it doesn't affect the ability to jump with T mobile. Plus, who stares at the back of their phone anyways..
I did put it on anyways, since it was there, and I figured might as well.
But if you buy it outright, or plan on keeping the phone for a while, you might feel differently

I just got mine and I have to tell u guys it's amazing light slim and u don't feel it there only the edges u can see the crystal clear sides ... it's really nice and fit perfectly...

Just an update on this. I have the same case since day 1 of owning the phone. It's got an ungodly amount of scratches, more than any phone I've seen before. Additionally, it has a green tint around the sides. Very disappointed. I would complain to the makers of it but I'm out of the country currently.

I don't see any mention anywhere that affects the dimensions of the phone but I'd imagine it would since it looks a little more "fluffy". I need the Defender for work, but when I'm not in the middle of a construction zone I'd like the leather back

I think it's a valid question. The videos look like it's slightly thicker to me. So I'm wondering the same thing as OP.

Well I once had an OtterBox, the big thick kind, and I had to peel off the wood-texture decal on the back of my phone or else the plastic shell thingy wouldn't snap together right. I'd imagine the leather back would have some cushion to it that could cause problems. Just unsure if LG has mentioned it or if anyone has heard anything!

Yeah, a hard case and extra screen protection for your device will make it last long.

I just pre-ordered a black leather G4 and I found this case... I think I'm getting the green one. It says it fits the leather back also!

It's true, not all the cases will fit both the plastic and leather backs.

Yeah, I looked at that one but the seller says "[NOT Compatible with LEATHER LG G4" so I opted to pass on that one despite what the 1 reviewer said.

I can confirm that the Defender has a sticker on it that says Not compatible with the Leather G4. Returned mine at work today The LG Quick Circle Case and one other case at Best Buy also said not compatible with the Leather G4.

From otterbox defender questions and answers directly...
"No. OtterBox cases for LG G4 will only be compatible with the standard LG G4 case. The leather LG G4 has a slightly different form factor and will not fit in OtterBox cases for LG G4."

Got my snap on today and it is the official case! I like how they changed it from the G3.. The snap on replaces the back door but fits like the snap on from the G3 that went over the back. It has the lips and corner bumpers that protect the sides. By replacing the back door now it makes it feel like I donthave a case on it except the front cover. Very happy with my purchase. Shipped from the U.K. to Dallas Tx in 4 days.

Did you get the snap on or qi charger case. I read somewhere that the sampan went over your existing back and was not compatible with the leather back

This case is super thin and light, the back is like black leather, and it looks so nice that people don't even realize it is a case, they think it is the phone without a case!!
I found it after ordering about 20 different G4 cases and trying them out.
The only thing I had to do was take a women's fat black sandpaper type nail file and file down some sharp TPU Silicone edges which took about 10 minutes.

For 10$ you can get a nice Cruzerlite case.

After looking at the 40$ otter box and looking at Arozell case i see no difference..well one anyway the 30$ price difference..this case is nice and heavy..It fits the phone very nice..its a very tight fit but that is a good thing..No problems with the screen protector, screen works as it should only way you can tell the protector is there is by the fell when you tap down... I am very happy with the Arozell case..

Question--I have a soft silicone case on my phone, and it is easily removable. I need to take off the case because the Qi charger (PowerBot) will not charge the phone through the silcone case. Is this case easy to take off and replace???

I got my Ringke Fusion for like $1.99... it's the best case I've ever owned.

I found it after ordering about 20 different G4 cases and trying them out.
The only thing I had to do was take a women's fat black sandpaper type nail file and file down some sharp TPU Silicone edges which took about 10 minutes.

:laugh: I'm with you. I'd rather have a slight risk of dropping it and doing some damage than cover it with an Otterbox. I really like the Spigen's personally, particularly the neo hybrid. Last time I checked it was on Amazon for 20 bucks too, can't go wrong.

No case for G4 is slimmer or better looking than the one in my original post - and the price is just crazy-train!

Yup, I have to agree. Not too bulky and not bad looking at all, especially if you don't have a black leather back heh.

just get out that blank sandpaper nail file and work on those sharp edges! - Sally Beauty supply has a ton of them.

What sharp edges? I don't feel any. Mine had some residue on the inside I cleaned off, but other than that. all good

For 7 euros you can also buy this one from ebay.
