Hi, I was running the GPE Rom on my M7 and the 4.4 ROM became available OTA. I attempted to let it update but an error occured and now my device won't boot. Apparently there isn't a backup which I thought I had!
It's been a while since I did any of this stuff so need a bit of assistance.
What would be my first route as to getting my device up and running? I can get into ClockworkMod Recovery.
I'm guessing I have to use fastboot correct? Can I use Fastboot or ADB from within CWMR?
Rather than fire noob questions I'll await a response and go from there. Thanks in advance.

I believe it was the stock GPE (my HTC One was not a GPE just to clarify)
OK so I just pushed the MaximusHD rom to my device. Installed it but it continuously boots to recovery? Any ideas?
I'm downloading the stock ROM to hopefully at least get up and running again.

Hi,
I got this phone today, and unlocked the bootloader using the htcdev website. I then flashed a rom, and wiped, and then flashed the boot.img using fastboot. It worked fine, but the cyanogenmod nightly wasn't very stable. I decided to flash a different rom, but I couldn't get anything else to work. The roms, now including the previous rom, don't boot past their boot animations and shut down and boot again. Any help would be much appreciated!
Also, when I power down from the bootloader it tries to start up again. I have to pull the battery.
Also, it's an AT&T version. ROM recommendations are needed, because I can't get anything to work. :'( Preferably de-sensitized. I've check the dev thread with all the ROMS and links.
Make sure you are doing full wipes for each rom and also flashing the boot image.
Sent from my HTC One
I do that

Yeah, I do that, using the factory reset in twrp and then install the rom, and then I flash the boot image using
fastboot flash boot boot.img
which flashes it no problem. I did actually get the cyanogenmod to work, which is interesting.
Update
I've gotten a ROM to work. It's http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1428726 A sensed ROM. Hmm...

You need to update to ICS first, otherwise it won't boot any JB or KitKat ROM.
Then S-off your device, it's really easy

Thanks! I'm running the "leaked" RUU which is supposed to update the firmware to ICS, right? Can you provide a link to S-off? I can't find anything. Well actually I can, but I can't understand it. :/
There you go: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2521157
I've changed CiD? because of Vodafone not updating to ICS.
Then upgraded with an AT&T ICS RUU - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2013122
Solved.

Hi guys, I got an original M7 last year, which was running stock and I flashed bigxie's GPE 4.4.2 ROM. I want to sell my M7 now and can anyone guide me to flashing back to stock sense 4.4.2?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2265618
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2541082
this two guides are a bit confusing, as i was hoping to get a stock sense zip.file in which i can just flash and un-root, re-lock the bootloader and get done with it. I'll be selling this phone to a friend of mine and he said he wanted to try out sense and he'll flash custom rom after he's done testing so I guess i don't really need to go 100% stock as long as it's running sense, unrooted, running stock recovery and able to receive OTA. Can anybody guide me to that? It will be a biiiiig help cause i'm still a newbie in these and it would mean a whole lot to me. Thanks

Look, if he's anyway gonna flash a custom ROM, you're gonna make his work harder by resetting it to stock as he will have to unlock the bootloader, flash a custom recovery, root and then a ROM. So, if that's the case, just flash a Sense ROM like ARHD and sell it to him. So, to flash a custom rom, all he has to do is wipe and flash it.
If, for some reason, he insists on a stock phone which on which he's gonna flash a ROM (makes no sense to me), follow the 2nd guide. If you're confused what to do, I can help you out. Post the output of you're 'fastboot getvar all' and remove imei and s/n
P.S. ' running sense, unrooted, running stock recovery and able to receive OTA ' is a fully stock phone
Except that a fully stock phone is S-ON while you're S-OFF

definitely M7
Every time I try to flash a stock rom on my M8 (H/K edition) it just boots straight to the bootloader. I've tried flashing it with and without root, and I'm getting nothing. I want to move it back to stock so I can update my firmware so I can use a particular rom.
Greetings,
I moved this to Q&A...questions should not be posted in the Development sections.
Thanks,

Relock your bootloader if it is unlocked. That is a prereq before flashing RUU
Also if you're unlocked you can flash the firmware without going back to stock...

Sounds like the kernel it's not flashing. Don't know if you figured it out yet but try extracting or finding stock boot.img and flash it using fastboot from your PC "fastboot flash boot boot.img" minus quotation marks
Thanks, I ended up finding out. The HK edition has a different stock rom than the other m8 stocks.
Hello everyone, I am writing to ask for help for my problem, I own a HTC One mini 2, Roma had the stock completely original, after I unlocked the bootloader entered the custom recovery, and finally the root, I installed a 5.1 rom lollipop. Now I would like to go back to stock rom, I tried to flash the rom stock on this site, but after having flashed the phone restarts hboot even after putting the boot.img of Rom. What SW version are you on, i you are S-ON you cannot flash a lower version than the one already installed on your phone, it has to be a similar or higher version, plus it has to be precisely for your Model or it will fail.
The only option is to restore stock ROM Backup through TWRP and flash stock recovery...

Hi,
All steps are explained in detail here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/one-mini-2/general/stock-ruu-rom-recovry-htc-one-mini-2-t3250020
You need to have TWRP installed to restore Nandroid backup.
