Hi All,
First of all, i totally new here, so please forgive me if i post at the wrong place, and sorry for my poor english...
Again, i'm new and newbie.. really appreciate for any help given...
i just brought my SGS since month ago... went to samsung service center for twice for shortcut missing problem & GPS no signal (Thanks to http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1043034 it helps alot)
Now... most headache, lag issue.. memory full....
So.. is there any solution for this? i know root and flash might help but how can i do this? i read some threads around, but i not sure which to choose... or should i wait for official android 2.3? Will 2.3 solve my lag/hang issue? I don't know what is root or flash exactly, what can it do? any disadvantages?
Oh! and what is JIT? I heard it can make apps run faster! worth a try?
I don't mind and hardcore/heavy solution(need advance skill) as long there is a tutorial for me xD
Really appreciate for any help and advises ^^ TQ very much..

Want you need to do it search for username ramad or chainfire on rooting your phone... they offer good guides on how to do it or go and sign up to this website.... www.darkyroms.com... good luck...
Sent from my GT-I9000 using XDA App
Ok! I found some ramad's post, will have a try... some question here.. can you help me out?...
Root means i can bypass OS permission and configure the system my self right? How about flash? erase the default firmware(original android os?) and install a new one? Will it cause some hardware failure or unable to use some features like wifi, bluetooth, gps? or maybe it will enhance it? !
After flash... some apps will unable to use right? because many apps support original os like 2.2, 2.3... if after i flash it... my os is not android 2.2, etc anymore right?
And just now i factory reset my phone.. now it unable to play Mp4 file.. it say i need to convert to supported format when transfer to phone... it is strange that i never have this error before, although i was transferring the same Mp4 file that i use to play in my phone before.
Flash your phone with Darky's 9.5 link was given by chrisdavesants
It's really easy to do too and plenty of guides are around.
Although it is a Froyo (2.2.1) rom it is far more stable than any Gingerbread rom's
Everything works just as it would on a stock rom.

Good luck on that but i tell you no difference....
Root means i can bypass OS permission and configure the system my self right? Yes!!
How about flash? erase the default firmware(original android os?) and install a new one? Right...
Will it cause some hardware failure or unable to use some features like wifi, bluetooth, gps?No or maybe it will enhance it? ! Some enhancements are feasible on custom roms...
After flash... some apps will unable to use right? Didnot experience any apps not working... everything worked...
because many apps support original os like 2.2, 2.3...custom roms are based on official 2.2 or/and 2.3 so they are the same features are just enhanced...
if after i flash it... my os is not android 2.2, etc anymore right? Depends on what you flash... will stay 2.2.1 for froyo or 2.3.3 with ginger
And just now i factory reset my phone.. now it unable to play Mp4 file.. it say i need to convert to supported format when transfer to phone... it is strange that i never have this error before, although i was transferring the same Mp4 file that i use to play in my phone before.

it just only means the file is not supported by phone might be a different file not mp4...

By the way JIT MEANS Just In Time compiler works with speed of apps... i believe not present on froyo only on ginger not sure though...
Sent from my GT-I9000 using XDA App
I'm sure they added JIT in FroYo and it is also in Gingerbread.
Thanks for the advise,
Need to match any requirement to flash the rom? like my phone have to be in International I9000 Galaxy S version ? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1011901

http://www.darkyrom.com/community/index.php?threads/guide-upgrading-to-darky%C2%B4s-rom-9-5-update-permanently-v10-gingerbread-guide-soon.1686/

2:install darky's rom 9.5
3:upgrade kernal dark core 1.4
After this is it means my phone were rooted, lagfix, jit, Super Powered!?

Odin is where you flash custom or official roms... leaked roms... as well.. CWM IS clockworkmd where you flash zip files afer using odin..
Requirements yes you should flash F/W only compatible with your phone model... read the instructions to the letter esp. Red ones...

You won't know yourself after flashing darky 9.5 then, it will be like a new phone.
Simply follow the appropriate guide linked in the first post- http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=814091 titled [GUIDES] All-in-One Guides Thread [thanks to addicted2088/addi] (Sorry I cant post the actual link, the forum won't let me post outside links as I haven't got enough posts..)
Have fun

Here are all the stock N7000 firmwares http://www.sammobile.com/firmware/?page=3. You must register to download and flash with Odin.
For a deodexed version you have to google around, maybe you`ll find one. Good luck
deodex
that, not what i want tho.
Anyone know where i can find instructions to deodex a stock rom on this galaxy note, it seems like there is no untweaked versions avail,
So that being the case, maybe someone could make a tutorial on hyow to correctly deodex their own stock rom and use it

I am a newbie, have searched, but cant seem to locate an OC Kernel for a stock 20p? I have tried to flash a few of the other roms from O3D forum, but lose my service when I run them. Sorry if I am asking for something that is probably right in front of me, but I am actually happy with the stock rom, as it is new to me................for now... Thanks in advance

So I have a rooted milestone currently running CM7 but its too slow and functions very poorly. I read somewhere that it would be better if i reflash sbf and go through that process all over again but every single link for downloading sbf and rsd lite is dead. Can anyone gimme the new links?
Do you guys know any other way to make it work better? I am going to try supercharger now. Any other ways to get a good working milestone?
Thanks a lot.

As topic says, i can download the [ROM][4.0.4][ P7320 and P7320T ][CWM] Arlic's ICHI ROM 1.2 from the links in the thread.
After about 150mb downloaded its starts over from the start. then goes to error.
Anyone got som helpfull links/tips?
Realy want a tweeked rom for my 7320.
Hey Panzzeren.
Have you fixed this issue yet or found other links? The ROM is good, but I'm tempted to try the latest stable CM10 build and get the phone functionality working.
Arlic's ICHI ROM is very stock, and as such has a lot of bloatware. If you're still interested I'll see what I can find for you/ try hosting the files myself for you to download.

Alright, I'll try to have it uploaded for you by tomorrow afternoon. Check back then and I should have a link for you.
Hi,
Not sure if you're aware, but there is a "proper" ICS release for the P7320T available now. You can download and flash from sammobile.com. The Telstra bloat is fairly limited and can be removed after rooting. (Use the same method as for Honeycomb)
It's a massive improvement over the Honeycomb releases.
