they find lot of gsm networks signal was ok... to yesterday
I wanted to check something in *#*#4636#*#* and i change
in Phone information / set preferred network type -
from GSM auto (prl) to WCDMA preferred
I change it back to GSM auto (PRL), but now phone dont see any GSM
network, still see SIM card but when is instaled and when is not..
I flash once again the phone, do a factory reset in recovery.. and still nothing..
img268 . imageshack.us/img268/1258/droid3global . jpg
please if somebody have idea how to help me .. pls
**UP**
Maybe will be usefull for somebody
I fix the problem, i used moto-fastboot.exe and re-flesh the radio.img
now again all works perfectly GSM / 3G etc ,
Thanks for that info!
Hello, and thanks for taking the time and reading this.
I installed CM on my C6603, but reflashed to a stock .244 rom, which I already used to update to .244 before. Since then, LTE, which was working fine on the same ROM before, is not working anymore. LTE (prefered)/WCDMA/GSM is activated in settings, but *#*#4636#*#* --> Phone Informations shows the following:
(Interesting facts: the timestamp translates to about 300 years, and all the values, including the last one, ta= are all the same)
Code:
[B]Network-Information[/B]
[0]=CellInfoLte: mRegistered=NO
mTimeStampType=Unknown
mTimeStamp=922337203..........ns,
:[email protected] mMcc=2147483647
mMnc=2147483647
mCi=2147483647
mPci=2147483647

rsrp=2147483647
rsrq=2147483647
rssnr=2147483647
cqi=2147483647
ta=2147483647
In the same menu, the preferred network is set to "WCDMA preferred". If I set it to anything that has LTE in it, I still only get a HSPAP connection, and frequent network drops, except for "LTE/CDMA auto (PRL)" which show no network and throws up an error, but not every time.
When I search for networks manually, it shows my carrier's LTE network, but I can not log in to it.
I have no clue how to fix this, so do not hesitate to suggest a sloution.
Do you have a backup for TA partion before unlocking the bootloader?
If yes,restore your TA and flash the firmware again.

Thanks for the suggestion. I have relocked the Bl with flashtool, that should have the same effect, shouldn't it? It did not help, however...
No relocking the bootloader with flashtool is different than restoring TA partition.

oh, ok. I shall try to do that, then.
OK, I restored my TA-partition, that didn't help though. Any more suggestions? I am still particularly sceptical of all the numbers after mTimeStamp that are identical.
Have you tried flashing the baseband only for the c6606 onto the c6603 I had the same problem my Gwat was rolling from 3g to h+ then off no radio (red x) , that was after the last update so I refreshed the baseband for the zl c6606 and it we working but taking about 5 min to connect then I tried the *#*#4636#*#* lte preferwd setting as suggested now its instant connect and no disconnects,the baseband flashing was to correct the lte connecting in Canada. It might help you.I also have the timestamp thing I think

yes, mine does that too, jumping from 3g to H+ to no signal all the time, I'll try that as soon as I can. also, it is reassuring to see that you have the same values for all those things.
Flashing a modem from a c6606 ROM did result in crashes and forced restarts, so this was not the solution. For the record, in addition to the frequent switching between 3G, H+ and no signal, I also get lots of dropped calls...
EDIT: with a service test under *#*#service#*#*/Radio Antenna and network mode=LTE, I get a *failed to det rx divesity settings" eror message.
so so sorry

im really sorry but i realised a huge typo it was the c6506 not c6606 i dont under stand what you mean by flashing modem, i presume you mean the same thing as baseband,http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2287847, follow this page

This may be an old question, but I've been unable to find an answer...
I have an off-contract verizon Droid 3. So I flashe the radio ROM with the Chinese 883 variant. I took it to the UK and put a "3" SIM into it. I got voice + txt, but I didn't get data.
(I didn't have a PC in the UK so I couldn't do more testing... had to wait until I got home)
OK, I come back to the US and I do some testing...
I rebuild from scratch with 5.7.906. I force the machine into GSM mode. Then I use "Network System Information" (NSI). I see my SIM card; my UK phone number, MMC, MNC. But, of course, it doesn't work in the US becuase the phone won't talk to US GSM networks with Verizon firmware.
I change the radio to the Chinese radio.img, as per http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1406812 - I also replace build.prop, /system/lib/libmoto_ril.so and /system/etc/ppp/peers/pppd-ril.options
Now I reboot and I can see the GSM network (T-Mobile, in this case), but NSI doesn't get to see SIM contents; no phone number, no MNC, no MMC. And so I'm back to phone+txt but no data; the APN isn't picked up.
Do I need to do something else to get data working?
(Probably if I leave it with the Verizon radio ROM then next time I go to England I'll get data, but it means I don't get the SIM working while in the US).

Grab a T-Mobile prepaid SIM so you can test further. You shouldn't have to replace any files except the radio and build.prop for the 883 Chinese radio from the Verizon XT862 radio/build.prop.

OK, I rebuilt back to Verizon factory just so I have a clean slate.
I don't have a T-Mobile SIM but I do have an (expired, deactived) UK Virgin Mobile SIM.
I put that in the phone with the Verizon Radio ROM and, as expected, it won't connect to AT&T. NSI will show me the MNC, MCC, phone number and othe SIM details.
I switch to Chinese ROM and build.prop... and I can still see the details! This is something new...
OK, with that level of success I switch back to the 3 SIM card. And... no data.
So:
Verizon Radio and build: 3 SIM visible in NSI but won't connect. Virgin SIM visible in NSI but won't connect
Chinese Radio and build: 3 SIM _not_ visible in NSI. Connects for voice+txt, no data. Virgin SIM visible but won't connect ('cos expired)
Hmm, looks like some interaction between the radio and the SIM. Odd!
Sorry I meant get a T-Mobile SIM so you can test the 883 radio.
What testing are you proposing? Other than "data works with a T-Mobile SIM" of course
Since the MNC and MMC aren't visible with the Chinese ROM and the 3 SIM, no APN is selected and so no data... with the Virgin SIM the MNC and MMC are visible and I can see APNs in the APN settings screen.
all i ever did was 1. get unlock code , 2.flash 883 radio , 3. change build,prop.
have to root first of course.
never ran into an issue except once when i accidentally erased some files in the system folder.
I have never understood why install xt883 radio when xt862 works great with gsm networks (all G/E/3G/H connection modes with data). Is there any reason for doing that?

The xt862 radio is unlocked for gsm networks outside the US, but will not allow US GSM SIMs from T-Mobile and AT&T to work.

It's not the SIM, it's the network. A UK "3" SIM won't join T-Mobile or AT&T with the Verizon radio ROM, but it will with the alternate ROM.
SOLUTION
Hi and morning to you. I work for your carrier (TECH SUPPORT) so i think i know what the issue is. you can call them and verify this i'm sure they will agree but dont mention my name
3 sim card only works on 3g network and when you put the phone in a 2g phone it dosent. i know the droid 3 is 3g but like you there are 80 % d3 owners having same issue of no 3g data. when you root and install a rom the data capability goes away. try this .......
set up a new apn WITH ► NAME : 3, ► APN : THREE.CO.UK and go to last option ► apn type and type the word "default" then save and reboot. dont forget to activate mobile data. i think it will at least give you 2g kind of internet. i have droid 3 and i took it when i was in the u.s and now in india
lemme know it it works. forgot to mention....there is patch to get 3g data working (google) it.

No this doesn't work because the MNC and MCC aren't visible and so the phone won't select the APN.
Sad it dosent work. Why dont you upgrade phone to Droid 3 stock (download unbrick Droid .bat from Droid 3 developement unbrick/root 1st post and then start from scratch like rooting , safestrap stc ) in case if u flash n if there is no signal then activate roaming. I have done d same.

That's exactly what I did; I reflashed to 5.7.906 using moto-fastboot. With the VZW radio ROM I can see the SIM MNC MCC but (of course) it won't talk GSM in the US. With the Chinese radio ROM it'll talk to the network but without data 'cos it doesn't see the MNC MCC.
The whole question is moot now 'cos I've now got an S4 and cut the SIM to size; that works just fine

I've ported xt861 (2.3.6) rom to xt862 (called it cROM) to use it in Europe/Poland, but have same problem with data transfer. The solution was:
1. download full apns-conf.xml file with most of world networks apns (about 160kb)
2. copy the file to /system/etc/apns-conf_0.xml
3. create two links
ln -s /system/etc/apns-conf_0.xml /system/etc/apns-conf_.xml
ln -s /system/etc/apns-conf_0.xml /system/etc/apns-conf.xml
4. reboot
Try this (from terminal):
su
rm -R /data/data/com.android.providers.telephony/databases
reboot
Hello developers.
I am amz. In dire need of your help.
Ok so i have a new mini
I turned it on n it would jus turn off if I used apps. I got a new battery. That stopped.
I then try use Internet it works only on G and E but if I go to 3g or Lte. .H will never come on. Can't call it says not registered on network only on the higher bands not gsm.. It's a 4G sim it works perfectly in my old s5 mini and signal is excellent here. I got new Internet settings too. G n E works why the he'll doesny the other bands register on network? Imei shows its not blocked either. I'm in the UK on EE. I cannot understand. I have all the OTA updates. Can u tell me if I can fix it by doing something thro service menus or anything also all sims do the same in this phone. I don't have a pc to change the rom. Could I do it through a external SD card.
Please I beg of you help.
Run the system updates, I had network issues until it was fully updated.
They are only patches, no new rom.
Reboot once each batch has completed until there are no more.
If that does not work, potentially you have a row version which uses a different band than us in the uk. Send it back.
I have the June 2015 update. I ran all updates. Still not working? I wanna install the cm12 rom m see if that'll fix it but kingroot not working. How do I see what band my phone is tryna connect in wcdma mode n what is required by the network? 4g don't work either?
I just Checked. My networked EE uses wcdma on 2100mhz. My phone is trying to connect. But it just says emerge calls only. Wth. What's wrong with it??
Can you post a screen of the About phone?
Should look identical to mine
Also, have you tried googling ee 4g settings s5 mini?
My network required me to get a 4g sim upgrade, before that it needed settings for hspda 3g which worked
I have a similar problem. Phone worked fine for couple of months, but since tuesday, it only works when I force it to GSM only.
G800FXXU1AOG2, nordic
(the thumbnail above equals to mine)
Maybe the network providers have changed 3g/4g details.
Check the website for correct details and update them in phone, if that doesn't work try a friends sim, if that doesn't work return phone
I had the problem aswell. I searched for the newest firmware in the internet (in my case I used the russian one). Then I extracted the modem file and made a tar file of it to flash it through odin. After I've done it everything worked fine.
If you want me to, I can do this tomorrow or saturday for u.
I flashed the original firmware (July 10, Nee), that did not help. What is the date of your firmware that works now?
I thinky june 2015.. I had the problem in February last year
It's me amz
Ok so basically I found out I need to flash my modem file or change the rom. But I have no PC to flash
.so I need a app which can root my phone or something without a computer. Kingroot didn't work. Anyone got any ideas on how I can do this? I've Google relentlessly. I need a developers help lol
I'll even pay them

I returned my phone and they changed the "circuit board". So mine was a hardware problem.
I've rooted my phone and going to change my rom however the tar.md5 file I can't use as I can.tell use odin. I need the .img file to have the twrp bootloader. anyone know where I can download this?
Band 28 can be force enabled via Network Signal Guru and works, but it does not persist upon exiting the app.
Is there any method to do so permanently?
So far:
1) "EfsTools.exe setModemConfig -p lte.json" does not work with either the WW or CN+b28 configs.
2) QPST 2.7 does not read the modem configs properly
3) QXDM does not read the LTE files, returns an error. Also the newest version on xda appears to be from 2009.
4) DFS tools fails to do anything. It reads all bands as active and setting bands to write didnt do anything
5) network signal guru settings do not persist upon exiting the app, but can be used to temporarily enable b28 for testing purposes. For best results, disable all other LTE bands.
6) /policyman/ files do not contain anything pending to band28, using "<include> 28 </include>" in carrier_policy_original.xml_Subscription01 does nothing.
7) band 28 is apparently enabled by default on SIM2 (thanks @attachsnow ), but this is incompatible with homerSP's VoLTE/VoWi-FI guide???
I suspect there's a hidden file that temporarily overwrites the main config files every boot, bit i lack the skill to find out. Either that, or SIM1 has some special configs or hardware issues with B28 that SIM2 does not
Have the same problem here. I found that sim 2 can use band 28 but not in sim 1.
Could you share more information for this?
Maybe we can found some files in vendor folder that is the same as country value.

I'm no android developer, just a "power user" at best. I merely tested every guide for enabling VoLTE or bands for any android phone on xda I could find. I wouldn't have the skill to make up a new method.
Band 28 is detected on SIM2 without needing network guru app's lock, but i cannot get the VoLTE guide to work with it. Guess it's still something, maybe we can force volte on sim2.
I've tried a bunch of things to enable bands myself, including band 28, but I have yet to find a solution - anything I do just seems to revert when rebooting and I have no clue what causes that.
I have updated EfsTools to allow writing the settings for the second SIM, you can find it here: https://github.com/HomerSp/EfsTools/releases/tag/0.10-modded-1.2.
Simply download that, and run this, and you should be good to go on the second SIM slot (no need to re-run the other commands):
Code:
EfsTools.exe uploadDirectory -i mcfg_sw.mbn -o / -s 1
Now I'm wondering what restrictions are on SIM2 as it appears to only detect 3g b5 and 4g b28? I will test a bit further

Seems to work fine here, though I get the same exact bands enabled as I do on SIM1, so there's sadly no difference there.
Small update: I'm not entirely sure we can completely trust the list of LTE bands listed Network Signal guru. I say this because toggling the bands there doesn't seem to do anything, but more importantly, I modified /policyman/carrier_policy.xml and removed the LTE band I'm usually connected to (B1) and rebooted. After booting again it would no longer connect to LTE, but this wasn't reflected at all in Network Signal Guru - it still had all bands except 28 ticked.
As a test you could try writing this to efs:
https://gist.github.com/dc57c830fef5a0690709b3a95842bafa
Code:
EfsTools.exe writeFile -i carrier_policy.xml -o /policyman/carrier_policy.xml
That will disable all bands except B28. My carrier doesn't support that band, so I can't check if it works myself.
Here's the stock carrier_policy.xml if you want to restore it after testing:
https://gist.github.com/cb4cd5114013add0432eeb1afdc26ce9

I agree. Well, it's not that important anymore but, Network Signal Guru's bands do not apply to SIM2. It still shows B28 as disabled. Forcing toggles do nothing to anything in SIM2 besides forcing a reconnect on both SIMs. That and how the bands never persist upon exiting the app for SIM1 does imply that it can't be trusted whenever things are changed.
Anyway, I can connect to b 3,5,7 & 28 for 4G just fine, which is all of Telstra. They do have some rare b1 & b8 sites but I don't know where they are to test that. However, I would assume they work. 3G is harder to test as they only use B3.
If you need any further testing on B28 matters, let me know.
For now, the SIM2 workaround is good enough. Highly doubt there'll come a time where the SIM2 slot dies before anything else breaks or the phone is replaced, or the situational requirement of two B28 SIMs.
If we use Network Signal guru to check B28 only on sim 1 slot, use NetMonster app that it shows B28 is connected.
But there is no CA with B28. So it has a little difference with sim 2 slot.
Is there any update?
If I root my phone, will network guru open band 20 on my UK version phone?
On kimovil site they say the tencent ultimate version (512gb/12gb) ram has all bands, including 28 and MiMO 4x4. Anyone can confirm this, please? Thanks in advance! ROG Phone 2 512gb/12gb on Kimovil
Had B28 working with WW rom on Tencent phone in second sim slot. Now updated to Android 10 second slot fix is broken, that band is gone now.
I fastboot back to Android 9 with raw rom and that didn't bring back b28. Have no idea where to go from here, I was relieved to finally have 4G where I live.

Went to this thread and downloaded the first WW raw https://forum.xda-developers.com/rog-phone-2/how-to/1910-64-ww-update-t4021947 put phone into fastboot mode, flashall_AFT.cmd back to Android 9. Note that my bootloader is locked, but from looking around it seemed like I didn't need to unlock it to roll back.

Could you please provide fastboot.log file after you rollback?
