hey i have some problems with my phone.
i got the original odin NE3 package installed.
and i tried to update to NH3 and it failed and i have download it several times.
also i cant jump to OC6 it failed too.
in both cases it says something about E: signature failed.
would it be problem with my current modem?
my phone used to have the corrupted modem and it was without firmware and imei.
but before i flashed the modem.bin i tried to flash the updates first.
My phone is running 4.4.2 NE3 but with the mf1 modem it doesnt accept me the ml2 modem.
any ideas???

I have a 2 day old 'unlocked' i9295 with a region/carier code XSI. According to sammobile this is a Middle East phone. I tried to flash the XSA Australian Firmware from Sammobile for the I9295 onto this device to get the Australian software, and more importantly modem through ODIN. The flash starts OK but then fails showing invalid ext4 partition immediately after starting the flash of hidden.img (one of the last images to be flashed).
I've checked the cable, and not had any issues with the computer for flashing.
I've tried two different XSA official firmwares - including redownloading them again.
The MD5 checksum checks out OK
Is there some way the phone might be locked so I can't change to an XSA firmware? Does anyone have any ideas how to bypass this WITHOUT breaking the warranty counters etc?
I'm currently left with a non-working phone, I'm downloading the XSI firmware again to see if that might atleast get me back to a working model.
I've not encountered this issue before flashing images for my other phones i9100 or i9505 previously.
Thanks for any help
XSI firmware flash OK
Update: I was able to flash the XSI firmware to this phone using the same method as the XSA firmware.
It appears that something has locked the hidden.img partition? Has anyone come accross this before?
Same problem here, had a rooted 4.3 rom and want to go back to stock rom and then officialy upgrade tot KitKat.
Downloaded N9005XXUDMK3_N9005TNLDMK1_TNL using Odin3-v1.85_3 with admin rights.
hidden.img fails to flash and now my device doesn't boot any more, it gives the error: Firmware upgrade encountered an issue. please select recovery mode in Kies and try again.
How to fix this issue?
---------- Post added at 04:29 PM ---------- Previous post was at 03:32 PM ----------
I just fixed the issue. Just flashed a custom recovery (CWRM) and then it asks for root, just say yes.
Reboots and then i have everything running again.
I'm trying to get my phone working again by flashing the stock G900AUCU1ANCE 4.4.2 firmware with odin but it fails every time and gives me the error "SW REV CHECK FAIL : [aboot]Fused 2 > Binary 1" while in download mode..
I was told you get this error when trying to downgrade or by flashing the wrong package.. downloading the official firmware off sammobile now..
any other suggestions on how to get my phone working again? I heard you can get it to boot by using the .pit file with odin but I cant find a .pit file for the g900a anywhere..

make sure you just choose the CSC, PA and cache to flash thru odin dont try to flash the BL that is what will cause the revision check error, you can downgrade everything boot the BL which is the boot loader, kernel etc,
Don't use the firmware from sammobile. Use the one from the threads in the general section.

I'm having the same issue.
Any help please?

Follow these steps
(it occurs to me that this is in the wrong thread so I'll be creating a new one in the right place...sorry)
Well, this is me...I'm stuck stuck stuck on Ver 6.0.1 and I really need to get back onto 4.4.4
I'm using a Verizon 900V and I made a video of the part of the process where it face-plants on me.
(Google search videos with this; "How to get Marshmallow to KitKat...???" to see what I'm talking about)
Please help?
I've downloaded the file for Lollipop (5.0) thinking that I had to step down to that before getting back to KitKat but that also yielded the same error which is this:
"SW REV CHECK FAIL : [aboot]Fused 2> Binary 1"
I have to admit, seeing the word 'Fused' kind of cheeses me a bit...dang updates....
(I *KNEW* I shouldn't have agreed to download 'em...)
I have a ATT S4 Active SGH-I537. It can only access download mode and from there i've tried everything. What happened was the phone had a OTA to the newest update pushed from ATT and after it updated the touchscreen did not work and i noticed the scren was "burning in the text" if that's what it's called. So i tried to wipe cache, and factory reset. Same thing Happened. Well now the firmware update did not go through so i have the error and can only access download mode. I've tried everything in odin and just get FAILS. Blahhh.
Any help would be great, I'm not new to this kind of stuff. I'm just stuck and need some help.
Thanks

As long as you can get into Download mode you should be ok. I don't know what firmware you were originally on and what you were updating to, but to be safe you should flash the NE3 Odin package. Download it from the i537 Firmware Thread and flash it through Odin. Check the md5 of the file you downloaded with the md5 posted in the thread to make sure you don't have a corrupted download. If you need step-by-step instructions for Odin you can find a link to it in the same thread.
Make sure you are using the usb cable that came with your phone since that is the only one that is guaranteed to work. You can use others, but Odin is very picky about usb cables. Also, try different usb ports on your computer, again Odin is picky. Finally try Odin v3.07 and Odin v3.09. Most people have used those versions to flash things.
If you need more help I'm going to need a little more information:
What firmware were you on before the OTA?
What firmware are you trying to update to?
You mentioned Odin doesn't work, can you post the Odin logs so I can see where it fails?

I will try the NE3 Package a few times, maybe stop by the store and get a different cable. If that doesn't work i will let you know. Thanks for replying and for the info. This is a frustrating mess.
Ok so I have a note 4 that was not working properly as it would boot into Odin mode when I tried to turn it on. That being said, it sometimes would boot normally or not turn on at all. So my solution was to root it and install a custom rom (like cyanogen mod). So I got odin and the twrp file and the custom kernel and followed the steps necessary: flash twrp, flash the kernel, flash super su, etc. But the problem is that Odin says "no pit binary". So I google it and found out that I could repartition it using a stock ROM and the correct pit file. I did that and it failed as well. So I turn to keis and do the firmware and initialization thingy, that ends up failing too. So I go back to odin and try to flash stock firmware but it fails after " writing NAND " thingy or it fails saying "cannot open specified file" or "no pit file ". What can I do.[emoji27]

Hey bud. Are you trying to flash a pit file and firmware or just firmware. And is it a N910T and if so on what build of firmware..? Send a screenshot of download mode...and also try to rename the extracted firmware file from .md5 to .tar and try to flash
Its a N910T and its on 5.1.1, i read on another XDA thread that to repartition something you need stock firmware (which I have a 5.1.1 one) and the right pit file (I have the N910T one) and that in odin put the extracted firmware file and on pit put the pit file. I did that and it failed. And how would I rename the file ... Would I just rename it on the file explorer on windows?

First it was a pit file and firmware, but now I'm trying to unbrick it by flashing just firmware on odin since keis doesn't seem to help. And yes it is an N910T, dont know the exact build but it is 5.1.1 ( would flashing a different 5.1.1(for the n910t) build matter or not, since its still 5.1.1 ?)
Yea if your on dok2 you can't go back to anything under that. It will fail every time. What firmware build u got

I dont know... The latest one ( the update for stage fright was the last update I had installed on there. Since it's soft bricked ( the connect to kies message) I can't tell what the exact build was... I just know its a 5.1.1 build.)
My note 4 (n910t) won't repartition... When I push start in Odin it says repartition failed and on the download mode screen on the note it says MMC: mmc_read_fail
I'm flashing stock firmware with the right pit file but it won't let me because the phone has an MMC read fail. Does anyone know how to fix this?
Are you getting the correct rom from sammobile? If not make sure you're using the correct rom version for your phone. A 910t needs a 910t rom. the stock version won't flash through Odin if you're pushing 910t3 on accident.

It is a n910t rom... It's cod6. But I think that the problem for it not being able to repartition is because it say MMC read fail on the phone screen when I push start on Odin.
Copy paste everything odin says... type EVERYTHING your phone screen says. and.... you DON'T have the 910t3 version of the note 4.... correct? Have you tried kies yet?
