Hi Guyz!
Hope you are all well. I have an xperia z as mentioned i am getting an issue of shutting down the phone automatically after some time. The problem is started when i restored my old backup which included the trim area backup around 2mb. After that restore, my phone is of no use because the condition it is keeping shutdown itself. i have tried to manually install the ftf software through flashtool but in vain. Is there anyone who can help me and tell me how can i repair this phone myself
let it charge up before trying again from flashtools as you need a good charge in it to complete the flash .

it is flashed correctly and powered on to system but the problem which i have mentioned is that it keeps shutting down whenever the phone boots after some minutes.

Two week ago when i played radio from an application on my device while charging it, suddenly my device reboot and reboot again...
Then i was trying reset all data but the problem still exist...
So i followed some guide from this forum by rooting and flashing it using flashtool and using new firmware from provide link ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=19684920#post19684920 and http://www.mediafire.com/?d3pobqqc3py66#4c02265ox4l1r )
and the problem was still the same, reboot and reboot again, so i tried using PCC and SEUS but it didn't change anything..
Lately, when i charge my device, it didn't reboot, but when i didn't charge the phone, on some point my device reboot and reboot again and the battery went down to +/- 2-15%
What is really happen to my device ?? Is it battery problem or RAM problem ???

Sony Ericsson X8 Bootloop
Hey I will tell you what to do.
First of all install Sony Ericsson Update Service or SEUS. Just Google it and you can find it easily!
Now connect your phone to your computer via USB cable.
Start SEUS.
Then follow the on-screen instructions.(You will be asked to select your phone model, update or repair your phone etc)But its easy!!!!!
Then leave the rest to SEUS.
It will first repair your phone, then download the stock rom and kernel and also the baseband and will automatically install them.
After that you will have your X8 on stock rom,it will be updated to the latest baseband and kernel.
Hope it works for you.

For my case, it will bootup with 1.6 stock rom, the baseband will be stated unknown, but it still can call and receive SMS...
Any rom that is above 2.1 won't be able to boot, that include stock 2.1 and any custom rom...
It only can be repaired by SE i think (or maybe JTAG )...
So in the end i gave up the phone and sold it at a cheap price to a friend and he took it to SE for repair, the phone comes back with stock 2.1 ROM
but the camera and vol button are not working, most probably damaged by the repair guy in SE...
Btw, any one knows what causes the baseband to gone like that?

I have Xperia T for just more than 5 months. I have rooted it and unlocked the bootloader. I was running CM10.1 on my T.
Last night after prolonged use of flash light of xperia T my wifi did not work so I switched off my Xpera T and after that it never turned on. Upon pressing on button I get two short blinking red light. Upon charging I get steady red light but I have charged for hours and indicator doesnot turn green nor does the phone start.
Both soft reset and hard reset method doesnot work as I get no vibration on pressing the keys !!
I cannot use flashtool as phone doesnot go into fastboot or flash mode.
Does any know how can I solve this problem ?? Please help me solve the problem !!
Thanks in advanced

OK, uninstall all sony, phone and adb software from your PC. Make sure you are running WIN 7 or vista.
Download flashtool from the first post in the dev section.
Goto the installation folder of flashtool and find drivers.exe, run it.
Choose flashmode, fastboot and TX drivers,
Attach phone to computer and click on check drivers. Tell me what it says.
And download a FTF file and drop it into the open window of flashtool, attach phone in flashmode and tell me what flashtool says.
Hi
what i did.
I unlocked the Bootloader via Flashtool
Rooted the device
Installed TW Recovery.
Installed iHackers 4.
All was fine until i saw the i wasnt connected to my Network Provider .
AHH i forgot to flash "Xperia Z1 - C6903 - Kernel + Baseband [14.3.A.0.757].ftf"
So i went into flashtool and flashed it, excluding everything execpt Kernel and Baseband.
The flashtool finshed and the device shut down. And thats it. Since then nothing. Not even
the led or something is showing any lifesignal. I tryed every button combi. The red reset button.
Tryed to enter flashmode.. NOTHING!!! What the ?! ANy ideas what i can do?
Last time i checked the accu was @ 93 %. I have it now on the charger dock hoping it is just a battery issue. No combination (pwr+vol+ or pwr+vol- etc.) working so far.
thanx

Yes it is a problem.
Even in this Tutorial is all well explained that you have to use the OFFICIAL Sony way to unlock Bootloader,
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2440597
..you did not followed the instructions and you unlocked with Flashtool which probably did not do his job right.
Maybe I am wrong but this is how supposed to be to avoid issues.
Then you phone is bricked and you have to follow other instruction to check if still can be resurrected, there is many Threads on XDA about this.

Wow i haven't thought that I get some nagging here instead of constructive suggestions. In any case i will let the phone on the charger for 24 hours and see if it helps. Also I DON'T THINK THIS IS A BOOTLOADER ISSUE!!! All worked fine.. I booted into ihackers 4 multiple times without any problems.. Also the Phone would show ANY signes of life, eg. LED RED or blinking etc..But nothing

Ok, If you are so sure then Ok, but still weird, as I follow different instruction and never had a problem then people do on they way and later have problems. It can be a coincidence and maybe is not your case, but sometime thinking easy can compromise the whole process.
I flashed different patches on mine Kernel I kill my phone few times and mine was completely dead, no led nothing, but it boot into Flashmode or Fastboot, you have somehow go in that mode and flash again, this is the only soft solution.
If you will not be able to do so then you have to go with the Test Pins, open your back cover and try to resurrect it, the hard way.

I don't understand what went wrong. After flashing the Kernel and Baseband the flashtool said everything went fine eand restarted the device. It turned off and nothing since then. I cant even get into flashboot or flashmode. It feels likt the accu is broken because there is nothing happening whatever i do. I think there is no power. I will not open the device because i still have 2 years of waranty (i hope they repair it as waranty case, if i am lucky) Else I will pay for the repair. We'll see. If this is an accu failure it should be a waranty case.
I had it for about 8 hours on the charger without any signs of "life" in the "machine". Sometimes i feel like trowing it against a wall to see if it reanimates it... But i can keep myself from doing it. =)
We'll see..
probably stupid guess: maybe ur phone just stucked on something and may not be completely switched off??
press vol+ and power button, see if ut vibrates 3 times
if it does, congrats an flash kernel again

If not then its Sony's problem probably a faulty device. Send warranty and don't mention bootloader, root or ROM.

This happens because you have your kernel broken.
With a kernel broken, you're not able to recharge your battery. So your battery is very low. That's why you can connect to PC just for a short time.
Charge your phone for an hour, then open Flashtool, then Flashmode, then select FTF: now uncheck all inside "wipe" box and then check all inside "exclude" box BUT kernel that HAS TO remain unchecked. Now start to flash and connect your phone when asked.
If it fails, try again: recharge your phone and reflash. Again and again and again.... be patient, it may take many attempts...
If you can't do it, try to buy a new battery!

Yo guys! This is my first post here. Sorry if I crossed some rules here, in advance.
I have my xperia V bricked? I think its bricked.
It happened after I successfully installed the CWM(done rooting) after that, I cleared all the cache, dalvik and data but then it suddenly hanged.
I removed the battery then reinsert it but then, it wont open. Then I think its bricked. Dunno what to do, weeks had past but still looking for some answers, but still hasn't found one. Weeks had past also, still charging it 24/7, plugging to pc with drivers, sometimes it detects by the flashtool but it says that im not connected to flashmode or fastbootmode(it says that device is in MTP? or something? I forgot sorry) So I tried posting here hoping to get my Xperia V ressurected. Help guys. Tnx alot. Newbie here

You should get yourself an external charger to make sure that the battery level isn't crossing your unbrick-work!
---------- Post added at 01:28 PM ---------- Previous post was at 01:22 PM ----------
That one should work for charging your battery:

Boot loader unlocked? Then fastboot a kernel via cmd. You will have plenty of time for that in 30 seconds. Just type the command before connection.
Or search the forum, there's a little trick to recover dead Z. Something with disconnecting and connecting the battery terminal's. But you have to open the phone for that..
BTW, if this has not already been covered elsewhere: we have the Q&A section for this

Device gets a bit warm when on black screen for a while? Then try leaving it for 24/48hr like that. That will drain the battery. After that, charge for two day's. It might help.
As for the wire trick on the battery, try to google it. It should be a last (but hacky) opportunity for getting a full dead Z to life.
I'm gonna get some sleep right now. Good luck

the wire trick on the battery will be the last try to do... maybe I will not use this option...
yesterday I get to drain off the battery and in the night and today tried to cahrge to full... Is not warm the cell phone..
Almost nothing know about patitions DRm, etc....... but could be partition problem ??? or kernel ??? the funny thing is that Emma program tells me this as the boot 1264-2309 S1_Boot_Lagan_1.1.1_1 and DRM says Marlin WMLA KEY .......... but in the few seconds that I'm writing the command Fastboot fastboot flash boot bootname.img and says at the end OK ... then I assume that has changed boot but .... reconnect emma and always comes out the same ...

Was the phone ever rooted or flashed? Or completely 100% genuine stock?
If Nr 1, I think software problem is more likely and if Nr 2, I think damaged hardware is more likely
