What exactly are the biggest problems that you're experiencing? People seem to make it sound as if the phone is completely unusable. Just remember that the OS should not be completely faulted for bad application programming. Some devs shouldnt be making apps in the first place.

Replace /system/lib/libmmcamera_interface.so with one from a recent factory image.

I just cant get google card now giving me information like i see some people doing. Maybe it is because is in portuguese language?

unless you have your wallet account set to US and visit english sites, yeah, now will barely show any info(it will show mostly just weather)

Problems with Windows 10 and Android Studio ?

Hi,
I've recently reinstalled my machine and put windows 10 on it. It's a clean install and I've only installed the jdk from oracle and android studio so far.
The problem occurs when I try to create a new project.
I basically just click new project/next/next/next to get a blank activity with minimum sdk api level 15, but when the project opens, I start out with two errors in values-v23.xml
Error2) Error retrieving parent for item: No resource found that matches the given name 'android:TextAppearance.Material.Widget.Button.Inverse'.
Error2) Error retrieving parent for item: No resource found that matches the given name 'android:Widget.Material.Button.Colored'.
Using Android Studio v1.3.1.
Any thoughts to what is wrong ?

Speed
WOW is all I have to say this is the update that was so NEEDED. The speed it runs at is 1000 times better in my opinion. I actually am installing all my apps I use in the emulators I use in windows and making this the primary Windows Emulator for Android. THANK YOU for the AWESOME WORK!!
One thing I notice is the mouse has a slight delay in response. Once that is fixed, this will become my Primary for Android.
UPDATE!!
The Pinch zoom option uses Ctrl-Alt key the same as release mouse from the emulator. This causes a conflict and makes the pinch zoom almost useless. Please Fix.

Internal Storage
How do I get more than 4gb internal storage... the one game I tried to install won't just cause of lack of space.

You and me both. All the apps on my Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro (non-Samsung, of course), I had no trouble installing. Then I tried to install 'Asphalt 7', and I ran out of space.
I want to increase this space to at least 50GB. The procedure to increase internal space for Remix OS for PC will not work with Remix OS Player.

The only offline installer I can find seems to be corrupt & the downloader is giving a server error.

For the past 2 days, the installer gives me an error while trying to downlaod version 1.0.110.
Here is the message I keep getting:
Server Error
Download server experience problem, please try later. (torrent sha1sum check fail)

I have exact same problem and idk why

me 2 since some days now

I'm just wondering where the support team is, I've spent the last 4 days trying to get support from the various places they tell you to go to for support but there's been no response from anyone.

First question. is REMIX OS better as booted like i installed it or like the new REMIX OS player emulated over windows. Whats the diference in use and fell and for my specs does it matter.
Second question is how to put AT(@) symbol on croatian keyboard.
My specs are
LENOVO Z500
i5 3230m
6gb ram
1tb hdd now and on windows boot 120gb ssd

How to copy - paste a file or folder from pc to remix os player?
because there is many apk that i want to install from the pc.

I'm curious why this update thread was not stickied in the forum? Does that somehow imply it is less important or less stable than previous builds?

Is there any way to enable more resolution options for the player? I'm using it on a SP4 but only very low resolution options are showing up.

Yup, good one ! French android keyboard is back. Can't use all characters and symbol just using my laptop keys, and lots of the non letters keys are mixed up, but looks like you attained the requirement for me to talk around about you Best accessibility is a must have point. Hope it will improve again.
Thought too, as said on the updater's beta thread, I had to download and install manually.

Look it up in an Extended ASCII table. I can use Alt-064 for an @ sign.

Newb question : how do I install more sdk platform packages on android studio?

Just installed android studio but it only came with android 7.1.1 API 25
I want to add adroid 4.2 API 17 but it's not letting me/ I'm not finding an option to add it . I can't even click it in the android SDK settings.
any help would be appreciated and sorry this a very stupid question but it's really bugging me . Thanks in advance

If my memory serves me correctly, you technically don't need to install previous API levels. API level 25 contains all the previous API levels.
Though you should be able to go to Tools > Android > SDK manager select the one you want and apply it.

I am pretty sure SDK packages inherit one another

How can I (re)make an old obsolete app to work on the latest Android version?

Greetings to all. I am new to this forum and I have a question for you experts.
There is a very old and abandoned app that I used to like a lot. It is very simple (the size was just 99KB). It is simply creating a floating icon above other apps that initiates screenshots.
When I tried to install and use it on my OnePlus 5, I got the message that this application needs to be updated.
The thing is that there is no update available for this app because the developer for his own reasons abandoned the project.
Could this be because of the modified Android version my device is running? Or is it because the app is no longer compatible for the latest Android versions in general? (My old device was under 4.4 KitKat)
Is there a way to resolve this manually perhaps by decompiling , editing and recompiling the apk?
Is there a way to recreate the same apk to be compatible with the latest bunch of Android versions?
Is there perhaps a way to avoid all the hassle and "trick" the app thinking that everything is O.K.?
Since I am a complete and utter n00b, please explain to me.
I wish to thank you all in advance for your time and effort to answer to me.

The app is creating a floating button/icon that allows to take screenshots of a specific (designated by the app and fixed) area of your screen. You can take multiple screenshots and evry single screenshot appears in tiny thumbnails on your screen, each one next to the other. All screenshots are getting erased automatically after a few seconds (don't recall how many, maybe 30 secs).

Yeah I have private messaging disabled. I prefer to do any communication on the forums.
As I mentioned, the source code needs to be updated. So if you post the source code I'd be willing to take a look.
No guarantees of course. Lots has changed in android over time. A lot of code has been deprecated. Don't know if it can be updated or if it's just better to start from scratch.

I did a little digging by decompiling the app so that I can look at the strings.xml to get the official app name. With the app name I did some research and concluded that the developer did not make it open source. This means its original java code is not public and therefore the app cannot be updated.
You'll have to find another app in the play store similar to this one for your use.
