Hi everyone,
I just want t create a post where people who use Rapture ROM can share and view other people settings and kernel in order to help others who might have the same questions.
As of now I'm running Rapture 3.1, stock kernel but willing to see other people configurations to see if someone convinces me to change .
By the way awesome ROM, thank you iB4STiD
We do this in his thread so he can also see how we feel like or don't like. It easier also to get help in his thread.

If you want a fast answer or answer from dev it be best to ask in his thread. You can leave this if you want just was saying if u want help from guys running his rom it easier.

hey, i just got a galaxy 5801 and wanted to get live wallpapers, i learnt that i need to root to be able to do that. will the galaxy s one click root work with mine.

You should search the forum - and for that matter, post in the right sections. This is Android Themes, does 'Rooting the Galaxy 5801" belong here? No, it doesn't. It belongs in the Galaxy Android Developement thread.

most helpful u ppl are. it's friggin obvious m new to android and this pertains to live wallpaper so it;s not for u to tell me where i post it. if u dont have anything useful to say dont say anything at all.

What does being new to android have anything to posting in the right section? Are you also new to the existence of life as well? You posted a question about how to root in the THEME section. Sounds like you're braindead to me, can't even search either. You should go now and post oh I don't know, a question in another language other than english.. in the english forums! Go go go!

like i said, i have posted it in hacking and development, and few other threads. not even one reply. and the one;s that i get is pretty useless. and speaking of brain dead, i asked for help and not another one of these useless replies which is of no help. so if it's anyone who is brain dead, it's you. i admit my fault, but u don;t have to be so friggin rude about. someone already suggested that i post in the right section. so if u cant help mind your own business.

Just download z4root from market and root.

So as i said i own one from tmo and i have a sim card from them and i want to make 3g work so i can surf the web... the sim works for a minute and the redirects to the first page that tmo adds when u open the browser.... i wanted to ask how do i make it work and what modems and kernels can help me... thanks in advance guys.. btw do you think my vibrant modems can work ?

Titles are supposed to be descriptive of topic
To answer your question, why dont you just flash a custom rom like Overcome, its much better then stock, less bugs, more stable etc. It doesn't come with modem but it mentions what modem to use I think, im too lazy to go look.

Well I beg to differ!
The Overcome rom comes with kernel and modem recommendation aswell as plenty of people who have probably asked same question you have in that topic.
Have you even read the topic or tried the rom?

Google "t-mobile redirect" to find what you need to do. Remember to back up the key folder and move a copy to your laptop for safekeeping. Don't worry -it's easy to do.

Get the phone and slowly you will get familiar to it.
I hope ur talking about the rooted apps here,that would be no problem once u get easy with the handset.
Piracy is not a good thing..developers put in a lot of time and effort in their work,respect it and pay for it.
Rooting n modding is not for Cr****. Rooting is to just get extra privilege on note, for making it more customise your device.
and note, such things(Cra**/Piracy) are banned over XDA

The phone's great as is. If you're a newb, like I was when I bought my Note (and probably still am), I'd recommend sticking with stock for a bit until you familiarize yourself with everything your phone can do.
I bought a Note when it released in the beginning of December and I still haven't rooted my phone. Although I'm a little conservative that way.
One thread you might really want to read is the Tips and Tricks thread.

There have many rom available for note. You have to read about each rom and flash it to feel the diffrent.

hey i really dont understand what is CFroot and it complications, i have a few questions if some developer or someone really knowledgeable person here can answer pls for me and all the noobs out here. and i bet ya all, even some of the really talented and well experienced people out here might also be dodged with these questions:
Q1- is the stock LPY rom safe? the one which we download from xda which is like 500 mb or something?
Q2- what is CFroot? is it harmfull to do full wipe with this?
Q3- what is my kernal in the stock rom which is 500 mb or something? i cant understand it so i attached a screen shot if u can tell me.
Q4- with this (stock rom downloaded and flashed) kernal and everything which u can see in my screen shot can i flash the CWM and root my phone safely with out and issues? can u pls for the sake of android brotherhood, give me some details? i know i can find that in many threads but as i already mentioned do this favor and explain it here for the sake of android brotherhood!
Q5- rocket rom and midnote rom are out for LPY can i flash them with no issues?
i will be really great full to the people helping cause this LPY and BRICKING issue have really been pain in my a** for a couple of days and i m really so afraid to flash without complete knowledge of things.

Loose your attitude, it wont let you go far on here. And DEV section is only for Development not Q&A which your thread clearly is. As you see the Mod has already done that. Thirdly there are plenty of places you can read about it.
Anyway...
CFroot is chainfire root and its the kernels/CWM/CFroot mixed together creating problems. No one is sure which one it is.
To make it sure its better not to do any wipes from CFroot CWM, If you want to do full wipe, use abyssnote4.2. then flash your rom on top.
Your kernel is already LPY, which is the latest one. As said above and as in Rocketrom ICS thread install it like that. You should be fine. But then again if you are not sure, then its better late than sorry..

i have been using xda for some time now. not much but still enough to just know the kind of people out here. not being offensive but the attitude of the senior members is not the way it should be. what i thought of xda was a site where u can ask for assistance to those who know things, but as a matter of fact my experience here is not good. people are very harsh here.

providing yopu read and search for your issue and post in the correct section people will help, when you post nonsensical postings and dont search and post in the wrong section people will get on your back

Hey guys i get my ace to root and i install cwm. Now i dont know which rom to put. i dont want android 4, i want 2.3, not stock but cm7. i see this rom called droidace but not too many thanks given to the masterex567. and even not many comments not enough poll results. i dont know why people not respond to that rom.
but i want to know, is it good rom. it looks nice in screenshots. should i try it?

Thanks i am noob. but tell me one thing, is rom good or not. i read the thread but no one has posted any quick review. is there any review of the thread? i want to know rom in detail. but the first, second and third post in rom don't provide review. and no one post review. i want a review like what are pros and cons?

Ok here is something upto you to decide. Do you judge a ROM just on the basis of how many thanks the Dev has got or you read the OP first?
Weird but let me tell you, Read OP to see how much safe a ROM is first. Second see the features. Have a doubt in mind, ask the thread inmates.
Dont like the ROM after flashing? Fine then, you can go for a switch. xD

This means its a development thread. People shouldn't post reviews in dev threads. The fact that they do doesn't mean it should be like that.
If you want to know what a ROM is like, just try. If you've made a backup you can always revert to your previous ROM.
Also, read the stickies in general and Q&A. So that you know the rules for new threads.

And btw, did you know that no of downloads are in hundreds and it has increased rapidly in past two days. The fact is that Dev is busy in cooking v2 and OP needs to be updated with a lot of new stuff. Till then, Why don't you give a try for v1 mate?
One thing i would like to tell you bro, you can only tell if a certain rom is good or not,when you flash it and use it. Not every rom is good for any individual. People have their own taste. Just flash it, if you don't like, flash another one. So simple as that. Some people like me preffer stock over cm7,.some preffer vice versa.
