[ROM*s*] [Rebooted: 4/30] VZW Stock Rooted 24A, 11A *&* 12B {LITE} w/ LG Add-Ons

ROMs have been rebooted! ROMs are now extracted directly from KDZ files for purity.
24A has been ornery, Took a bit of work with MicroMod777's base to get it working.
As before ROMs, 24A, 11A & 12B, have been stripped of every Verizon and LG app that is not included somewhere in the settings.
They are simply extracted, debloated*, rooted, busy boxed and zip-aligned. 24A is Now recommended as it has all the benefits of 11A with no 12B issues.
G2 Settings are recommended for both ROMs as it does every mod needed. *24A ROM is 1.23GB, 11A is 1.2GB and 12B is 1.33GB.
LG apps still included are:
QMemo.
QRemote.
QSlide.
Slide Aside.
Voice Mate.
24A has a few other services added with the LG update.

Possibly but not me, not now. There are times AOSP doesn't perform as well as a feature ROM. This, IMO, is one of those times. HTC sense 5 is the other.

Nice and lean thanks. Running it now. Any way to get the stock weather app/widget back on here? I tried restoring from a titanium backup from stock rom and it wouldn't do it. Thanks.
Edit: Also this rom is missing calendar app and the ability to sync calendar data on my exchange account. Again tried to restore anything that says 'calendar' in it with titanium and it failed. Any ideas before I go back to stock? Gotta have calendar.

The updates need to be flashed. I'm not keen on uploading 1.3gb for a few mb modification.

How's battery life on this? Eager to try it out but I'm on malladus ROM and I've been getting about 16+ hrs with a single charge
Edit: also on the screen shot..how did you make the battery icon and everything else white? Like android kitkat theme?

Battery seems ok to me. It's stock so it'll behave stock.
There's a few threads with themes.
I'm using the one for XThemeEngine.

Sorry for asking, but did i miss new OTA for Verizon's G2? Or is it build from other model's OTA? I did installed today new camera apk from 11e, it was korean version. So it should be here also or not?

Thanks for the quick update. I installed the calendar sync app and weather app. Running well now. After I flashed those zips was was getting google speech to text service force closes. I uninstalled that service using titanium and reinstalled from Play Store and all is well.
I will use for a little while and report back if I see any other problems. Thanks again.

Yeah, I goofed. I always put apps in /system/data/app instead of /data/app.
Just realized it.

Since this is stock Im guessing data is good like stock I can deal with the rest. Thanks

11A is the latest. I used the 11E for about a day but it had the tendency to hang at times.

Trying to get used to Tapatalk too. Is there any way to add samsung keyboard here? The one that Note 2 have. I really don't like the keyboard in terms of mistakes i make on it. It is pain to type long texts. I tryed every keyboard on PlayStore. But i think that good keyboard only can be ported from other roms.

Roms that currently can be flashed on AT&T S5

So while we wait for the 'Development' area to start filling up with new Roms, I opened this thread for people to share what they have found it currently works from other S5 Forums.
So far I have tried and work:
* Alliance Rom (From the T-mobile Forum) http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2748569
* Stock International from the International Forum ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2761682)
* X-Note from the International Forum also works (after removing the Aroma stuff and editing the META-INF folder, Thanks @Skizzy034 for the hint)

* Alvin's Stock http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2791067
You have to setup the APN after installing the Roms
*** IMPORTANT***
If you lose root on when installing International ROMS, use 'towelroot v1' to root v3 seems to not work sometimes.

I posted this in the safestrap thread. It will help out for this thread also:
(Aroma Based Roms)
You can. You just have to take the stuff you want out of the optional aroma install folders and place them in the corresponding /system folders such as /system/app. Then you have to edit the stuff in the meta-inf folder or, easier, replace the meta-inf folder with one from a non-aroma based rom, then just flash as normal.

I wasn't able to get mobile data working out of the box, didn't know the apn settings so restored stock to get apn settings will report back.

I download a stock G900F rom , cook it with ArchiKitchen with ANCE modem.bin (need to specify boot and modem block). Modify others.xml for displaying NFC icon, disable shutter sound, and enable recording. Also modify customer.xml to make AT&T's default APNs (except FOTA and security strings) so data works right after the first boot. Disable Knox with Archi and no more annoying notification.
Totally stock.
Didn't check root yet but I believe it might have gone? I did not root my rom so I suspect it might have gone?
EDIT: Check with Root Checker and the it doesn't appear to be rooted.

I've been able to flash most ROM's from the international forums, as long as they have stock kernal and I take out the Aroma stuff, only problem I've noticed on every one of them is SuperSU binary fails to update, don't know if it has something to do with safestrap or what.

We need and stock deodex rom for full theming and tweak lets see if @bri315317 will hop one the s5 att since now we have SS

See Q13 for APN settings. Good luck everyone, and let the flashing games begin. Maybe someone needs to start a thread where the rest of the ROMs can be added and modified to work with the AT&T GS5, and take out the aroma stuff.

Flash the SuperSU zip. I think it's 1.94+ or something like that. You can find it in XDA somewhere or Google it. I would link it but I'm not sure where to find it. You just flash it in recovery.

Hello, everyone. I'm having an issue on my G800H I can't get figured out. I'm no stranger to rooting, having rooted 15-20 of my own devices, but only 3 were Samsungs (two S5 Sports, and a Galaxy Admire). I've never had this problem with any Android, but I can't keep a Touichwiz OS rooted. I've rooted both 5.1.1 firmwares many times over the past month using both Supersu 2.50 and 2.66. I've never kept root for over 24 hrs. I've thought it may be a Knox issue, but even when I uninstall every Knox related app I can find, I still lose root. The Knox apps I'm aware of and uninstall are:

KLMSAgent
KnoxFolderContainer
KnoxMigrationAgent
KnoxSetupWizardClient
KNOXStore
SecurityLogAgent

I even tried the new beta apk!! I would use CM or BlissPop, but I can't stand my phone to not be fully functional and I can't stand navbars...but I can't stand losing root even more so I may use 1 of the 2. This morning, I even decided that I'd rather have Root than Lollipop, so I returned to 4.4.2 and rooted with SuperSu 2.4.6...a zip I've used many times on many phones without a problem. I lost root within 3 hours. If anyone has heard of this before or knows a solution, please help me out...I'm losing my patience with this phone, and I don't want to give up and sell it....

Use the phone for more than 2 days see if it works correctly
If yes try to install one root app (x-plore for example)
Because I think there's an app that is causing this

I was thinking the same thing... So about the past 8 times or so I haven't even set it up. I only install busybox, kernel adiutor, and es file explorer. But I do use an older version of ES... And I do grant it root permissions, I use all the same app versions in my Zmax, too. I'll give it a try without granting root to anything and see what happens.

I'm on CM now btw. Stays rooted and getting used to the navbar.

I dont think gravitybox gives a triple press option, but you could probably do single press, double press and long press. Since they don't work, I turned off the capacitive backlights and fixed the native brightness slider, and now it may be time to try service on this phone.

I do like that the navbar puts the back and recent buttons back where I'm used to on other devices.

I fixed it by switching to CM. It bugs me bad to be defeated by Android though, so I'm sure to go back and try again...just not right now...lol. I'm enjoying CM. Not even noticing the RAM difference after raising the minfree values, but I haven't tried any serious multitasking yet, I don't think.

BTW, @sasukesama, I've read that this phone has the msm8226 and I've also read it has the msm8228. Well, the Zmax has the 8226 and it gets LTE. A friend who uses international phones said that to enable LTE on them, you have to add some 2 letters to the end of the APN. I will ask him about it later when he wakes up and I'll post back unless you already know about this and it didn't work.

Hahaa! Home button wake has as always bugged me about Samsungs . Since I have a navbar, I disabled the home and both capacitive keys. I'm so happy to be having fun with this phone again! Now it won't waste battery turning on in my back pocket.

Yes, I can try, but building PAC for the Nexus 7 was easy because it was a supported device for that source. I haven't even begun to learn what it would take to port it to an unsupported device. I can't even get a kernel to build without errors with a configuration I know is working.... Yet.

Why call this rom the PlayStore Rom? Because this rom features absolutely nothing, thats the beauty of it! If you want something your going to have to get it from the PlayStore. Alot of things will not work or may FC in settings. This is because it is removed. Deal with it!
Install Instructions For PI3 International Firmware
Note about new rom
This will require you to reinstall The PEH firmware and reroot. Once done The new rom will flash files not a system.img any more. The zip file will be alot smaller. I think this will also help on the MMS problem for some people, as the system partition was getting messed up during multiple flashes of system.img images
Recommended you be on PH1 or PI3 firmware and Rooted
Install Flashfire
G930U_PEH_Deodexed_BS_Free_Rom.zip on internal or sdcard
Open FlashFire and agree to terms
Click the + button in the actions menu
Click Flash Zip or OTA and locate VZW_G935U_PI3_DEODEX_AROMA_V1.zip_Rom.zip and click on it
In Options menu leave the box Mount/system read/write checked and click the check mark in the top right corner of options menu to flash this rom
Leave EverRoot disabled
Leave reboot menu set to normal
Click On The Big Flash Box at Bottom With the Red lightning bolt to flash rom
This zip will wipe data but not internal storage

Post Install Instructions
You must decide if you want to use Google IncallUI or Samsung InCallUI. Samsung InCallUI will allow too still receive and switch to video calls and the google IncallUI will only support HD calling. To switch to google IncallUI goto settings/applications click on default applications choose calling app and click on the blue phone app. To switch back to samsung IncallUI is a little more complicated. You will need an app like root explorer and goto data/system/users/0 and then findthe setting_secure.xml and delete and then restart phone. This will restore samsung IncallUI as default
You will also want to turn edge features off since everthing is deleted
Also you need to goto SuperSU app and goto settings and click on enable su during boot and also click trust system users
Goto this thread and under Recommended Next Steps find the S7_or_S7Edge_Fixes_V15.zip or latest version and flash to fix kernel lage and doze fix.
Goto setting/about phone
Click on build number 5 times to enable developer options
Change animation and duration scales to .05 this will speed up phone
You will also have to change charging/file mode from within developer options
Remember Wiping Dalvik cache will cause phone to take up to 10 min to boot on deodexed roms

If using samsung IncallUI here is a fix for call phone FC and also location service fix

@jkruse Thanks bro appreciate your efforts. One favor, do you know where the Olympic theme is located on your first Rom? (Which folder?) I'm going to extract it from the other version and install it in this one. For some reason its not on the Samsung theme store.

I didnt mean for my reply to come across rude. I just thought since the OP looks like the other one you thought it was the same. This is basically nothing but a bootable rom with like 5 apps installed thats it there are over 180 running apps removed. I kind of thought it would be cool to be able to build your rom how ever you want it without having to worry about what you can delete and what you cannot. I appreciate the support especially on new development. Understand I have many threads and and other devices so i sometimes keep my answers short and direct especially when using the mobile app which I hate using.

Ok, that is what I thought. I just was trying to determine if there was anything else major missing from that other ROM, knowing some apps would have to be pulled or installed, hence your "Playstore" moniker for this ROM. Ok, this is a good clean base ROM for those who like to order "a la carte" down the road when the need for other features are required. I may give it a spin for the fun of it.

UPDATE: Took like 8 minutes to boot. Runs fine.

I'm using the Google incall with no issues at all. Probably no need to flash if that's what you're using.

So far the ROM is nearly perfect.
Having some MMS issues again. It only works when Wifi is turned off or not connected to a network.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. I even flashed your fix it ZIP.

Hey I'm considering installing this ROM because I live the minimalism of it. How's the performance? Anyone mind posting an AnTuTu score?

I actually found one of the battery saver apps to be causing the issue. I think it was amplify through xposed, it caused the mobile data to turn off when connected to wifi. So, i turned it off and haven't had an issue since.

What doesn't works after rooting Nougat

Can anyone tell me if i root my galaxy s6 (Nougat). what what things stop working. like private mode etc.. and also some people are saying samsung account is not working.. as there is no nougat rom is available for our tmobile other than some grace ports... also devs plz tell when we will get a debloated rooted rom.. Like we had XtreStoLite on marshmallow.

To me the only thing that will never work is pay... bit other than that, everything is cool

for me samsung account doesnt works... but there is a fixing guide available for that but the real problem is that bloatware in the stock... i deleted some system apps (samsung google microsoft etc) after that many apps refused to open like titanium backup so had to reflash the odin file to get everything working back again plus there aint no audio fix for intl. roms

I don't know about intl... but yes. About tge bloatware they just won't uninstall... I try uninstallers, TB, root explorer... imma try lukypatcher later...

Try Package Disabler. You have have to purchase the app and it's not 100% sure to work on rooted. The developers updated the app for Nougat and had to create a companion plugin app to get around Samsung's new policies. My phone is still on stock (unrooted) MM, so I can't verify if it'll work on rooted Nougat.

bcz link2sd is only successful in freezing apps.. i tried deleting but they kept coming back after reboot....
