Amzer Silicone Case

$10 bucks isn't bad. Haven't done a great deal of digging yet though for other cases.
Wondering if At&t is going to have any cases on launch. They have been historically bad in the past at carrying anything but iphone accessories on new launches.

I'm hoping AT&T includes a screen protector with it. They have with all other smart phones I've got from them.

Got my ebay case/skin. It's rubbery, fits well will contours matching the back of the phone. Camera, power, and volume are raised nubs, not cut-outs. Actually this helps with button actuation. Changes the feel of the phone in the hand substantially for the better. You have more control while typing, and you don't feel like the phone will squirt from your hand. Note this is the rubbery-soft type, not the gel type of skin (e.g. like the BodyGlove that AT&T sells).

Yeah, that's the one, or an equivalent from another seller. I'm sure they are all exactly the same. The kiosks at the mall would sell it for $20.

I try the ATT, I wasted my money. It is so tight that the power button is aparently pressed, so become very sensitive. to avoid this I drill a whole in the gel. Not good

Amzer Silicone Skin Jelly Case
I ordered the Amzer Silicon Skin Jelly Case for my Samsung Focus from Amzer.com and WOW!!! ... talk about absolute perfection!
I tried the $34 one from the AT&T store and it seemed like an idiot designed it and so of course I didn't expect much from a $10 case but figured it would be something until more are developed for this type of phone.
Boy was I wrong about this being a temporary fix because this $10 thinhg fits absolutely perfect, no obstruction with the buttons, looks amazing, feels like it protects this thing PERFECTLY! and feels so velvety smooth & grippy.
The reason I got mine already is because the black color is out of stock but not the other colors and so I ordered black for myself and maroon red for my wife and so they shipped hers already with no extra shipping charges. AND might I add that the maroon red doesn't look girly at all, it actually looks pretty bad-a%% with the black color of the phone. Of course I'm still waiting for my black one BUT for those want it now, the maroon red is the coolest color right after black.

I just ordered 2 of those jelly cases for the Wife and I, and I ordered a cool leather pouch w/belt clip case from www.focusaccessories.com to hold mine at work...

Could you post pics of your Focus with the Amzer case?

Leather back has a hump in it. Cases have to be specifically designed with that in mind. If you have a black leather back I'll trade you my metallic plastic back

But anyways.! for those that have used a Diztronic case, how do you like the cases they make? Does the full matte finish really help with fingerprints and oil? Are they normally a good fit? Thinking of maybe getting a case until I find a leather back.

How is the situation with this case realted to being slippery? I just read this in some other reviews.

Aluminum bumper from eBay/Amazon

I know I've read that a few people have purchased it... my question is for those who have actually received it.
First of all, I believe I read someone had said it DID fit a leather back phone... Can that be confirmed? Also, do you notice any degradation of WiFi or cell signal with the bumper on?

Well, all aluminum cases effects the signals and wifi too ... i had use aluminum case on my galaxy s5 ago . Im recommend to not use any aluminum case

Mine shipped today so i guess i will find out in a couple weeks. For $9 it's worth the chance.

This is a bumper, not a case. There is a bit of a difference.

I had it on for a few minutes and it marked the black leather. Its now in the draw with the other test cases

I'll probably bevel mine with a dremel. I got the uncoated version because of this.

Same thing happened to my brown leather back took it off and put my tech 21 case back on which fits perfectly

Got my black bumper in today. I like it so far. Fits well. Doesn't seem like it will leave a mark inn the leather but time will tell.

I got mine a few days ago. I'm not happy about 2 things:
First, putting this on ripped my heart to shreds. It doesn't open nearly enough to fit the phone without seriously risking a scratch.
Then, the bottom part is not fitted properly. There's a space between the back of the phone and the bumper, and I can see through port holes. The phone doesn't jiggle or anything, but the frame is too far from the bottom back of the phone.
I'm using the plastic back BTW, and trust me, you don't want to use this on a leather back. There's no padding at all on this and it will leave marks. @tourbound129 I think someone already tried it and it only took a couple of hours.

I agree that it doesn't hinge apart as much as I would like but I had no problems carefully making it work.
I'm not to worried about it leaving marks in the leather. It won't really show in the black even if it does. And the backs are replaceable.

I'll try to get some later. GF has my G3 so don't have anything to take a pic with.
It did leave a small impression on the leather after leaving it on overnight. I have the textured black leather so not worried about it at all. Not even visible unless you are looking for it.

Has anyone dropped their phone yet, while wearing the aluminum bumper? How did it protect the phone?

Anywhere to buy/anyone not want black leather back?

I bought my G4 from T-mobile, and I'm hoping to find somewhere to buy a Black Leather back that isn't from outside the US, as I really want OEM.
Anyone know of anywhere to buy it or any black leather buyers swapping theirs out for something else? Thanks everyone!

I have the black leather back (Sprint version), and was considering trying to find someone to trade with. I really do like the black leather, look and feel but I'm very used to keeping my phones in protective cases. The vast majority of cases made for the G4 are not compatible with the leather backs.

Possibly, but I'll have to wait till I can find a replacement back of my own. The plastic ones right now seem to cost just as much as the leather. I'd prefer a white back, or maybe even the deep blue one, but I'd settle for gray if I can find one for a reasonable price. The G4 is my daily, and right now my only phone. When I do find one, I'll come back to this thread to see if you're still interested. Hopefully, within the next few days.

I have a t-mobile brown leather, but I bought a genuine OEM black leather back from ebay. I love being able to change colors!

How's the quality? I can't tell if it's knock-off or based on a foreign model, since the US version seems to have a light color stitching and this doesn't.

The quality is similar to the original but with a grained leather. Stitching is the same and it appears to be OEM. I checked the inside and although it doesn't have the same stamped print inside as the original it appears to have come out of the same mold.

I've a Sprint OEM Genuine leather back. Would want to trade with your brown leather back

I bought a similar one that says 'Band LTE' on the back. It arrived in about a week. Seems genuine OEM. The black leather is definitely more slippery than the metallic gray one.

The creases are barely visible. they could probably be massaged out eventually. I'll get a pic today (hopefully)
The way I see it; It's somewhat attractive in itself, it protects the phone from scuffs, scratches, and possibly a cracked screen, etc. far less worrisome outcome than a crease on a $30 replaceable leather back-plate.
...and this is really only a problem if you decide you want to remove the case indefinitely and are annoyed by those creases staring back at you... just drop $30 bucks, problem solved. (Your leather back will wear regardless if it goes uncovered.)
But, I totally get you... whats the point of buying a protective case if it damages the phone? seems backwards, I get it.
I've NEVER seen a phone case that makes a phone look better than one without, or doesn't add weight or bulk...
You gotta compromise somehow.
You could also get an original plastic back, alleviating the whole crease thing for $12-15.
---if you're handy with a Dremel or a small file, try tapering the square edge that touches the leather back, and putting a felt strip there. It wont be visible when the case is on.
...reminds me of my mom, who always puts a cheap plastic film over her iPhone screen to prevent scratches... but in a week the film is full of scratches that the glass would have resisted. The whole point of keeping the screen optically clear is now null and void by that nasty screen cover. If the principle here is to maintaining a good visual appearance, go naked, be careful and run a risk. If you're just trying to protect an investment, cover it up.
For the record, My Z3, S5, Nexus 6, G4 and Note 3, have always gone uncovered. I've dropped the Nexus once, but still haven't learned a lesson from it.

been using that aluminum bumper on my plastic back g4, and it has scratches on the back where the aluminum meets the plastic. I would never put it on a leather back, there's plenty of reviews saying how it damaged the leather backs. It even warns against it in the description. I wouldn't put it on at all without a screen protector on for fear it would damage the front.
It does give the phone a great feel and good protection though.

I've not heard of any reports of peeling, just scratching.

I wouldn't buy the LG Leather case. If you look on XDA, many people are complaining about the leather wearing off, simply because they had put the phone in their jean jacket. The LG is $80 and it looks like it is sprayed on.
I purchased the Pierre Cardin from Ebay and it is quite a bit better than the LG...plus only $18 with free shipping.
