Is this posting new or old? I know previously Otterbox said they will not make a case for the Nexus S, so I am wondering if they changed their mind or if this Amazon posting is from when they were planning on making a case. (Note how there is none in stock right now.)

No it is not, I live in Colorado and called otterbox yesterday because they are only 50 miles from me and they told me that they do not have anything in the works for the Nexus S, which means I guess that there is no chance right now!!!! Oh well maybe if they get enough inquireies they might but I doubt it!!!
the thing is that Otterbox was going to make the case but then they decided not to make it.
Actually I believe they did release it, but it had problems fitting because of the curved screen. Then they took it off their web site. I remember when it came into stock but at that point I was tired of waiting.

I know a 7 inch tablet is pretty big for something like this.. But I walk around in a building all day with what I can carry on me. I've got some space on my belt. I'd like to be able to carry my N7 with me.
Anyone have a suggestion outside of just using my murse?

Kinda upset by that, actually. I absolutely love their cases--best TPUs out there, regardless of price.
You can find similar matte TPU cases on ebay, not that disappointing IMHO but to each their own.
Poor decision IMO, but I saw it coming when there wasn't anything at release. I stopped taking diz seriously when I saw the quality of my case for my EVO LTE. I stopped sending that small time outfit my money a while ago, I'll stick with Cruzerlite, or rather go eBay then send them anything in the future.. lol, I think the OG Note sold millions internationally in the first weeks of sales.. Samsung just released a comment that claims the Note II will triple that pace.
Terrible sales and inventory fails are nobodies fault but their own IMO.

I think this is a bad decision for them. Note II will definitely sell more, being on all the major US carriers: AT&T, Verizon, Sprint and T-Mobile. (Note 1 originally released only on AT&T). Plus, there's huge marketing campaign Samsung has these days. Including the 60 and 90 second Lebron James commercials.
I really liked their cases for S II and S III. I will seek out a similar product from another company.
Well thats sad to hear. I have a matte black diztronic tpu case on my 717 and its awesome. I get compliments on it all the time.
Going with a clear case tho, I dont wanna hide the pretty titanium grey color by covering it up with a case.

Oh well, their loss. I've had Diztronic cases on the last 4 of my phones. Ended up going with the Cruzerlite this time around since I didn't see any Diztronic. You win some, you lose some.
Hmm, I wonder if they thought it through. The Note 1 was only on AT&T so I can see why there was limited sales. However, the Note 2 is on all 4 major carriers and they are all the same stylewise(except for small cosmetic differences on the T-Mobile one I think).

"We initially were not going to make a Note 2 case, but we have gotten a ton of requests for it so we are now considering it. Unfortunately we are busy working on some other models at the moment. If we do end up making a Note 2 case the soonest we'd have them ready is the start of December. Thanks for your interest!"

I'm pretty sure they missed their chance with most.. Pretty foolish of them to counter now IMO so late in the game. I bet they'll be unhappy with the sales again and likely blame the device again. For the few consumers that didn't buy anything yet, maybe they'll have a chance. I for one already got my Cruzerlite cases and couldn't be happier, much better molding process compared to my diz cases from my LTE.

Thats really nothing like the diztronic case. That case offers minimal/no protection (only the back). The diztronic covered all sides and had a lip.

Really not feeling the cruzerlite cases. Hate the way the do thr opening for the camera. Just a cheap, tacky way to do it.

Seidio listing "Google Nexus 6" in requests area on site. Cases/Accessories to come?
Awhile back during my investigation on the Next Nexus phone I went searching through Accessory/Case makers hoping that they would give me any information/potentially leak information on the Nexus 6.
Ultimately I found Seidio referencing the Google Nexus 6 in their requests page http://www.seidioonline.com/Articles.asp?ID=303
Hopefully they will be releasing cases soon for the N6, what would you guys like to see? Personally I am hoping for one of their durable cases since the one I had for my N4 protected it for the entire time I had the device. Hopefully we will not have to wait long for cases to come out!
seidio drives me crazy. iphone 6 comes out and they have every case under the sun ready to ship the day the damn thing is ANNOUNCED. google releases nexus info (including specs) and you get crickets from them. here, fill out this request form and wait
Moto x 2014 is listed in request area too, but they've confirmed on Facebook to me that there is no current plan to support.
I hate apple, but they are king of accessories. Guaranteed millions of sheep will buy their phones.

Hopefully it means we will be seeing something come down the pipe in the near future for the N6!

i find it fascinating that i have to tell a company to make cases for a phone that nobody is able to keep in stock. sold out on 2 different days via google in 0.5 seconds and today sold out on motorola's site in less than 5 minutes. and all this at $650-$700. if they need me to request that they make cases for it then they are incredibly stupid and don't deserve my business...

Being sold out because you sold 5 million in a couple days is different than being sold out because Google doesn't know how to do retail launches. I would imagine it is quite difficult to gauge how much interest there will be in this phone after the initial sales.
perhaps, but it doesnt change the fact that this is a flagship release and their lack of support is dubious. take a look at their site. they offer cases for just about every phone in the universe on there. but nexus 6 which is launching on all 4 carriers they have to wait and see? beyond lame

Yea they already missed the window to get buyers...all the pre-orders are shipping soon and they don't even have products ready yet.
There goes 1000s of sales. Poof. I'm one of them. Got a Moko holster/case for $2USD and not buying a Seidio for this device.

I got the $1.95 Moko, and the case seems solid! But I hate the Moko holster with a passion. If Seidio did come out with N6 cases, I'd buy one just to use the spring-loaded holster.

I didnt even know Best Buy sold decent holsters lol You have to let ME know if they get them!
I have only been particular to otterbox and seidio. Hopefully Seidio comes out soon (since otterbox hates nexus for some reason)

I have used the Platinum brand case from Best Buy a few times on some of my older phones(it's been a couple of years). Those were just re-branded Seidio Surface cases. That's not a bad thing though. The case and holster were much cheaper at Best Buy than on Seidio's website. So, unless it's different now, you won't see a Nexus 6 Platinum case without seeing a Nexus 6 Seidio case first.

I've noticed that a friend of mine still holding on to an old Galaxy S III has a nice little flip cover case for it (apparently itself a Samsung product); I believe it is this one. I'm looking for something similar for my Nexus 6 - who can give me a few pointers? (Keep in mind that I live in Canada.)

I ended up ordering the Case-Mate Stand Folio, and it got here today; I think it will do what I wanted it to do.
I got the Case-mate from Google play and I really don't like it. I love the idea and using it as a stand but I don't like the way it feels when it is open and I am trying to use it. Not sure what I am going to do with it now...
