I. Recently upgrade my Sony Xperia Z C6603 to Android lollipop 10.6.A.0.454. Not I started data, mobile data and it works good but when I creates a hotspot on my phone, it created one but doesn't share the internet connection. I connect my other android device to that hotspot and it get connected but no Internet.
Internet is on AMD wifi hotspot is also on, internet is working on my mobile but not on other which is connected on my hotspot.
The error comes similar to this:

Till yesterday when I had kitkat, it works nice. But when I upgraded to lollipop, the problem started. Can anyone know about this and how to resolve this?

Me also use Hotspot to connect my phone to pc. Sometimes I've got message "Error while tethering" but the connection just fine. Currently I'm on Lollipop 10.6.A.0.454.. (just updated about 5 days ago)
By default, the gateway of our phone as hotspot is 192.168.43.1
make sure you check the connected device whether it has IP address on range 192.168.43.2 - 192.168.43.254 with gateway set to 192.168.43.1 or to be simple use DHCP instead static.

I just received a new note from rma, everything looked to be working fine, except wifi internet.
With my previous note i had no problems, connected to my router and had internet through it.
With this new note it connects to the router without any hiccups, i can even use the phone to move my computer's mouse over wifi, but i don't have internet access on the phone.
I installed Gerret's miui rom as soon as i took the phone out of the box so i'm not even sure if it also had the problem with the original rom but i did turn it on with the original rom and i think it did not have.
Anyway, i tried to give a static ip to the phone on the router settings (a TP Link TL-WR1043ND), i tried changing the wifi channel, tried it with wpa and open. It always connects to the router, but i never have internet...
I have another android phone and i put a mobile card in it and turned on the hotspot on that phone, connected the note to that phone through wifi and i do get internet on the note that way ... so it looks it is a problem with my router and this newer note version. :/
Any ideas to fix it?

today i received my sony xz - put sim in and start - so far so good. now i want to connect to my wifi. put in the pw. then authorisation and getting ip adress and connect. but hold on. no wifi?
it always want to connect but everytime it gets it´s ip, the phone do it again... after a while where is a info on the wifi 'poor connection'
so i cant connect to wifi
wifi has full strength (sitting next to it)
i try´d to google it, but nothing helps. no mac adressfilter, passwordfree connect, change channel, disable enable modem/router/phone, repair phone via sony software.
i have the latest firmware(10.3.1.A.0.244). anybody n idea?
maybe root and another cf will help?

I'm on {ROM}[STOCK][T][JB 4.3][9.2.A.1.199] Official Firmware - Rooted&Deodexed 14/3 and ever since I updated from 9.2.A.0.295 I experience some WIFI issues:
- When coming home, the WIFI does not connect automatically to my home network
- My phone won't 'forget' networks, it says "Forget network failed"
Any ideas how to improve the WIFI function on my Xperia T?

Forget network solved
I fixed the "Forget network failed" problem by turning off wifi and turning it back on, after this the networks are shortly shown without connection (since it takes some time for the phone to connect), and deleting the network before the phone could connect was possible.
I connected to the network by activating Auto IP support.
I'm at work now, hoping that the WIFI connects when coming home!

I suddenly had this problem wherein my PC cannot browse the internet even though I am connected to my phone's wifi hotspot. My Note 3 is fine though. I am having a good connection when my Note 3 connects to my Xperia SP.
I kept on seeing "Resolving host" in the browser when trying to use the connection of my SP. I already performed a wipe and installed a new ROM (Ultimate pureXSP) from a sony stock ROM but the problem persists.
Any ideas?
ok i fixed the problem by simply flushing my dns.
edit: nope it did not solve the problem. i was using the other connection.
any ideas guys?

I have a serious issue with my Xperia Z tethring.
I just updated my Android to 10.6.A.0.454, 5.0.2 lollipop. And I noticed that I cannot share my internet connection, mobile data to my laptop via hotspot and USB tethring. I can create hotspot, other devices can connect to it, but no internet sharing.
Before I had the kitkat 4.4.4 and the tethering was workedfine with no issues. I can browse Internet on my mobile with LTE/3G connection but not sharing of Internet to my laptop.
When I put my SIM card to my dad's phone which is Samsung, it works fine with USB and hotspot tethering. I have to ise my old Samsung for that.
Can anyone tell me how to fix this? Please help me.
