I had auto-unlock when my phone has no IMEI. But I don't think it is useful for you.

A few weeks/months back I did some setting in my Nexus 6 that sets the screen unlock pattern whenever the phone boots.
i.e. when the phone boots, it asks you to enter you screen unlock pattern in order to boot.
Now I want to disable that so that I don't have to unlock my screen in order to boot. But I am not able to find that setting... I don't remember where it was. I looked under Security...Smart Lock...etc... can't find it. Where is that setting?
I haven't rooted or unlocked the phone. So it must be some default setting (which I am not able to find now).
In security- Change Screen Lock to None or Swipe.. This'll release your problem..
Then check in pattern lock again. There is the option available, which you mentioned..

Thanks! I should have looked at that.
This will be the option
I have a T-Mobile S6 but flashed Cleanrom for ATT. I noticed that while using the fingerprint unlock method the screen will still require swipe to unlock. In other words, I have my phone set to lock 3 minutes after the screen turns off. Normally if I turned the phone back on before the phone actually locked it would just pick up where I left off but now with the ATT rom it will ask me to swipe to unlock when I turn the screen back on before the phone actually locks. Is there any way to remove this?
That's pretty weird. My AT&T phone doesn't do that.
Did you get anywhere with resolving this? I'm running stock AT&T, not rooted, and annoyed that I unlock with fingerprint and need to also, subsequently swipe.
I found the solution to what may be the same issue you're having - though I am running the stock T-Mobile rom.
You need to turn off all the smart unlock features - trusted locations, devices, etc. For some reason, with those enabled, unlocking (often, but not always?) requires a swipe and fingerprint - but without them it works as you would want/expect.
I think this may be an attempt to give us a lock screen when the device stays unlocked, but if you unlock it with the fingerprint when it is already unlocked, it doesn't bother to even try reading your print, so it misses that you did something that couldn't be in your pocket. Very annoying.
I have my lock screen set for fingerprint. If the device is shutdown or restarted, the lockscreen asks for a fingerprint. After that if the power button is pressed to shut off and lock the screen, the next time it is turned on the lockscreen asks for just a swipe. It wont ask for a fingerpring again until the system is restarted again. Anyone else have this problem? Solutions?
You have to go into settings and set the power button to lock device. Or you can change the settings to lock device after a certain period of time.
It's under Lockscreen/Secure Lock Settings

You can also set it to not lock if it's connected to a certain device, like a Bluetooth.
This is a god sent because it's always been a pain to unlock the phone in a car after it's gone to sleep and you are streaming music from it.
Thanks! That was driving me crazy. I knew it was there, but couldn't find it.
I know what you mean! It was confusing the heck out of me in the beginning but then caught on.
How do one wish to switch back to just a simple swipe after choosing fingerprint unlock
The SWIPE option is now greyed out ??

Hi, i can turn on my phone but the screen does not working very good, so i only see a black screen. I'm wondering if there's any way to unlock or enter the sim code without see anything in the screen..
Is there a way to unlock the phone using a fingerprint without unlocking the phone (should be screen)?
Edit: meant to type screen.

Your question makes no sense at all. You want to unlock the phone... without unlocking the phone?
I don't get it

So you want to unlock the phone via fingerprint without typing on the screen? I still don't see clearly what you mean? If you unlock your phone with your fingerprint, there is no need to type your password unless it doesn't recognize your fingerprint

Sorry for the confusion. Basically, i want to be able to unlock my phone while the screen is off by swiping my finger across the fingerprint reader.

Most likely there is no way.
Your fingerprint reader would most likely eat up a lot of battery because it would have to be on all the time just waiting to read the fingerprint and unlock the phone
So I find it is very not likely that such method exists.

Ok, thanks for the help. Do you know if theres a way to get the navigation bar on the screen and turn off the capacitive buttons?

I know that there are apps and xposed modules to allow a navigation bar. As to disable the capacitive buttons, I'm not sure. There are sure to be some apps or modules to allow you to do that, I'm not sure myself. Never tried to.
