[Q] Can the SGN4 support 512GB msd cards? - T-Mobile Galaxy Note 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

https://www.yahoo.com/tech/s/ultra-fast-512gb-microsd-card-more-expensive-galaxy-222022235.html
Sure it's expensive now but we see can see the direction this is going.

It could support 2tb SD cards, 1000 for that card is just retarded but it will go down in price quickly.

Highest capacity memory card

Is the highest capacity 32GB? Or has anyone tried 64GB
Sent from my VS910 4G using Tapatalk
according to the manufacturer 32GB is the highest.
OK great I was going to expand memory and knew it was labeled at 32GB just didn't know if it was hardware or software limited. Anyone maybe try otherwise?
Sent from my VS910 4G using Tapatalk
32GB is the largest micsro SD card I can find at the moment. Have you seen any available that are larger?
Update: Oh, okay some company called KingMax has one out. Couldn't find any larger than 32GB on Amazon though.
Final thought: 80 GB phone baby!!! I've already got about 32 or so movies on my 32GB SD Card. 10GB Music on the internal SD.
Yea I have found them around as large as 64GBs just was curious as to if anyone has made the jump and tried it out.
Whatever you do, don't get a cheapo one from eBay.
I bought a counterfeit 32GB card on eBay. (Google it if you're interested.)
Revo won't support it but you can an buy 128gb sd cards

They need to start making 200gb sd cards =). I need enough room to carry my entire music collection of flac albums with me.
Most SSD's are still priced a little higher than the general public is willing to spend, so generally any flash memory card larger than 64GB/128GB isn't really going to sell well enough for the OEM's to justify manufacturing.
Seeing as how no phone supports more than a 64gb card, you could have a 200TB card if you want but your phone will never support it.

Recommend me an SD card.

I'm on a budget here, and I'm looking for an external SD to place all my media.
Thing is, I don't need to have amazing transfer speeds from PC to card.
I just play media on phone, and I don't frequently take videos on my phone.
So what's the best card for me? I suppose class 10 cards aren't a necessity for me right?
I bought a SanDisk 64GB Micro SDXC from Amazon for $45. Don't know what your budget is so it is hard to recommend something.

Yeah I know it's the best. But don't wanna spend excess money on a card which I don't need. Any other suggestions?

Just get a standard Class 10 mSD card. Unless of course you want 64GB in which case you would want to get the SanDisk Ultra 64GB
32GB

I totally agree.
Whatever your budget and size-need is; make sure you buy a card that is class 10. Class 4 are too slow for files transfers; they're good for the normal reading of audio and video files but the transfers (in and out) are just a pain-slow...

I bought a SanDisk Micro SDXC but only 32GB

WOAH! Anyone have any experience with any of these Sony SD cards? Looks like they're priced to move...
I heard eg class 6 performs better than class 10 in some scenarios.
Is class 10 always the way to go?
I've had a class 4 kingstone micro sd card and it worked extremely fine with media files .. I think class 10 just for media is a little bit far
Sandisk 32 gig class 10 is $22 on amazon. The class 6 is a couple dollars more. You won't need the higher class for what you are doing. Just for basic pics and music a class 6 is fine. Also I advise against the 64 gig if you are using CWM recovery and/or a aosp ROM. They aren't friends.

I have a sandisk sd 64 and I really like it. For most basic users like yourself I would suggest looking for a bargain deal. Amazon has SD cards on sale most of the time, I wouldn't buy anything unless it was on sale if budget is important.

Recommend a SD card size

What size sd card should I get? Would 2gb be fine?
If you're gonna be installing a lot of software you should probably go with 4+. I believe 2 is sufficient if you have it on hand
Thanks

Yes I just got a sandisk 16GB Extreme Class 10 45MBPS for 17.00 prime free shipping
Also RPi has a micro SD card adapter, so I am using my old micro SD card from old phone. They are available at adafruit.com or ModMyPi.com. they are cheaper at adafruit.com
Sent from my GT-I9300
The minimum size SD card I would recommend is 8 GB, also check out this list of SD cards that are known to work well with the RPi and this list of SD cards to avoid and that are known to cause problems and not work.
I think 16Gb 10class SD card is best of speed*size/price.
I looking on sandisk extreme 8GB. But I've read that rpi with some kernels have boot problems with some really fast cards.
Sent from my LG-SU660 using xda premium
I you are pretending to really use the rPi as a "real computer" everyday, install softwares, development kits, etc I would recommend a 8GB or more SD card, they are not expensive(as a guy said, a 32GB card will cost less than 30 bucks in USA. This is difficult here in Brazil, today I bought a 8GB MicroSD card for 30 dollars). If you want to use the rPi for small things, Chrome OS or something like that I think that a 4GB card will be fine.
I Picked myself up a couple of these at the start of this year, Class 10's and on the known Good List and only 20GBP at the moment, which is a bargain. Now all I need a RaspPi to go with it

You can be happy getting the 512MB version then, so waiting isn't that bad.
OT: 4GB ist enough for almost everything, but then its recommended to mount /home onto an external drive for storing user data.

Do are phones support 64gb Micro sd??

i was price checking some stuff before i go buy a new micro sd card, and i ran across the SanDisk® Ultra® 64GB microSDXC™ UHS-I Card. Was wondering does are phones support this card and will it recieve the speed bonus ? or would be just smart to go with the 32gig version Hit me back asap thank you !!!!
I don't think our captivate can recognize a 64gb card. Or a 32 GB for that matter. I could be wrong though, so don't quote me on that. I have read somewhere that people were having problems with the 32 GB cards. I have an 8gb, and I still haven't used not even half of it yet.

samsung and att captivste spec says 32 GB max.
there are cheap knockoff brand microsds that don't work in any device at the labelled capacity.
I've had good luck with sandisk, kingston and patriot brands.

SD cards?

Should I go with a Samsung card for my 8.0 or is ok to use other makers cards, specifically talking about the ultra, extreme types. I want something fast but compatible.
Thanks in advance!

I have been looking for a 64g SD card for my samsung tab 3 7". After reading many reviews on amazon I have discoverd a few things you might want to consider.
1. Anything over 32 gig is a whole different world for sd cards an compatibility especially for Samsung tab 3's
2. I don't know about other brands but sandisk seems to have formatting problems with android. They sell several different 64gig cards and some come with a warning that reformatting in the mobile device will leave the card unusable.
2. There are a lot of counterfeit 64gig cards out there and even though people are complaining about it, Amazon continues to sell them. Read the reviews carefully.
3. I don't know if the tab3 can utilize the class 10 cards that claim 30 mb per second.
I just started looking into getting a 64gig card for my tab 3 and my information is still incomplete as to what to get. All I can suggest is read, read read... There are some shifty deals out there.
I hope someone that has more knowledge about this subject will chime in as I am somewhat confused about the best card to go with.
Copy that. Thank you very much or the input, I was also just reading about the counterfeit cards that Amazon is selling in the reviews for some cards and elsewhere. I'm not sure why or how they would continue to sell them knowing that they are fake! I am seriously thinking about just going with one of the nicer Samsung cards and be done with it.

I'm using one on my tab 3 right now, it's only 8gb though but. But the read speed is 24~30mb , write speed is 10~12 mb/s.

Cool, Good info. Thanks
Just to update its been 2 weeks now and the cards are doing great. I read the reviews before I bought and they said the transcend was very compatible with devices and since samsung is so picky I liked hearing that. Also a lifetime warranty is great too. Proof of purchase is necessary but since I purchased thru amazon I always have a record.
