BUG: Android Studio Terminal won't start/open - Android Studio

Comes up with the following error when I create or open a project. The terminal window stays blank.

"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
"Can't Open Local Terminal
java.io.IOException: Couldn't create PTY"
No idea what this means and it seems there is no solutions out there.

Fixed it. This error has to do with the terminal (aka "command prompt" in windows).
My command prompt (cmd.exe) is set up to run as an administrator. I had not checked the 'run as administrator' box with the Android Studio .exe (studio64.exe).
So to fix it, I simply found studio64.exe ....... went to properties ...... and checked "run this program as administrator" check box on the compatibility tab.
Now the terminal runs fine no errors.
Whalah!

Had the same issue on my X64 Windows 7 PC. You need to browse to the find_java.bat located in AndroidSDK\Tools\lib folder. Right click and select edit. Go down to line 27. It should read:
set java_exe="C:\Program Files\Java\java" or something similar
Depending on the version of the JDK you installed, you will need to change it to something similar to this:
set java_exe="C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jdk1.6.0_19\bin\java"
You can confirm the correct path by browsing to the Java.exe you have installed and just copy the entire path location. PM me if you run into any issues.

[Q] Help installing Android SDK

I just got a Nexus One, and I'm keen to play with it. The problem is is that I'm having trouble installing the SDK. (The bootloader was bought unlocked)
I've gone through tons of instructions, and I just can't get it.
I'm running Windows 7 64 bit.
I've installed many different types of java (the one I have now is Java SE SDK) and I can't get eclipse to run for the life of me, I get this when I try to run it.

}
My android SDK folder is in c:\androidSDK
Eclipse is in c:\eclipsec
This is my PATH: c:\system32;c:\;c:\System32\Wbem;c:\System32\WindowsPowerShel l\v1.0\;c:\androidSDK\tools
That's all the information I have, if it's too overwhelming sorry.
Like the error msg says, you need to install the JDK. Step one in the link below.

and the devices show me this .-.
thats all,
regards.
Pd: excuse my english...
It seems that adb is not found, you should add adb's directory to the PATH environment variable in Windows. After that, type "adb devices" in the command line, and you should see the list of connected devices.
i do,
and restarts .-.
Edit: nevermind, i fix that or i guess

Help: "closed" message when trying to use sdb

Hi everyone!
I'll go right to the issue, I'm trying to change the icons on a Samsung Gear 2 Neo following the instructions on this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2782669. So far I had to change the firmware so I could root it, fight with drivers, ROMs, Odin, and all that stuff, and finally could root it, but now that I run the command "sdb shell mount -o remount,rw /" I get the message "closed" and can't proceed. I tried changing firmware, resetting to factory, rerooting, everything to no avail. So I'd like to ask for your help to solve this issue. I'll leave a screencap of the command window here:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Thanks in advance.

Trying to use ADB - X527 Not Seen Under "adb devices" command?

I've got my phone hooked up with all of the relevant items downloaded and installed onto my PC.
The phone shows up fine in device manager and I can browse all of the folders via the PC.
I'm using this guide:
https://www.guidingtech.com/59895/le-2-rooting-guide-twrp-installation/
But there's never any device listed like this on my PC?
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Any ideas?
Well I finally got ADB to work using the Minimal ADB Fastboot method.
I now have TWRP installed on the phone and tried to upgrade my ROM by transferring over the "update.zip" but I don't see it in the TWRP recovery install method.
I'm doing well!!!! FFS!
