Inverted InCall Dialer - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S6

I am posting here for people who don't check my rom thread. The inverted dialer is only the "InCall Dialer" because it seam "Theme store" themes don't theme the InCall Dialer.
NOTE: This mod will most likely only work with a rom that has "Signature verification disabled" Check with your rom developer for more info. It will of course work with my Rom and again I can't promise it will work with other, just ask in the ROM thread you are using.
The screen shot shows my "Theme store" "Main" dialer ("Space odyssey") and then my Inverted dialer next.
Just flash in recovery and enjoy
I would also recommend checking my ROM thread for the most current theme options and mods

It is possible? It seems like our main dialer will not work for sure, but I belive the InCall dialer is compatible.
If you want to try I would suggest navigating to system/app/InCallUI and see if it present, then copy it to your sdcard and flash the dialer of your choice. I've seen you from the S5 forums and it seems like you know what your doing so I won't go into detail about finding the app in your system. Good luck and report back the good or hopefully not the bad. If it does fail just push the backup you made of your stock apk and set permissions, then reboot.

So it didn't work lol. When I did it, and then called someone the InCallUI actually never even appeared and the phone would not let me go into it lol.

Sorry about that.
I did just notice in your Signature that you're running a 100% stock rom.
That's probably the issue. The apk I modded is deodexed amd the system would probably need to have "Signature verification disabled". As soon as you get to a custom rom let me k keeping and we can see about getting it working for you. Thanks for the feedback amd being brave and trying it.
Was it easy to restore? Did you make the backup of the apk amd then just put it back after?

Well it's the stock ROM odexed.... but I'm obviously rooted haha. But yes very easy to restore.. I just renamed the stock apk "InCallUI.apk.bak" so it was very easy to go back to the original one.

This theme is Dope! My phone is G925f and am still suffering with the stock call ui any chance to get it work with thank bro

Sorry for the delay getting back to you.
I do have users with the 925f variant running my rom and obviously the themed incall work with that.
If you are not running my OZOP rom I can only recommend making a backup like I posted to the above user, The themed apk is from a my "deodexed" rom with "signature verification disabled" Then flash and see if it works?
The worst case scenario when you make a call the incall portion won't popup and you will have to reboot the end the call and restore the backup apk.

For some reason on 5.1.1 didn't work ppl couldn't hear me on incoming and out going? ??

It would take more than I know how to do, but I'm sure it can be done. I would prefer it to work without the theme and will keep trying to get it working, but this is a step in the right direction.
Thanks! I've been going nuts trying to figure this out myself. Flashing it now, will edit this post with results.
EDIT: Success!!! Seems to be working great so far - if anything comes up I will update here. Only one quibble - the dialer file linked in OP is Eugene's modified one. The smart dialer function works - which is the key - but I might want to swap it out for the stock TW dialer just for personal preference. Is there any reason this would not work?
Edit2: One downside to this - it brings back the white bar bug in the stock calendar that Eugene had edited out ... That might be a deal-killer for me. Bummer.
Why? Just why? Why not use Vibrant 9 or Stock then?

The hybrid rom just seems to be snappier and smoother to me ... Wanted to try this out, may end up just running straight hybrid or Vibrant9, but thought it was worth a try to blend them
Another minor thing...I think the word "favorite" is misspelled in the dialer unless it is some British form of the word that I don't know.
tis a british style of the word.

Same. Vibrant 9 seemed to lag a bit even with the lagfix. Hybrid has run silky smooth. The smart dial function of TW is something Samsung got right imo, but you have made everything else better.
Why not get the best of both worlds? Also, I just want options and to see if I really need the smart dial. If I use it, I''ll keep this mod. If I don't, I'll revert back to plain Hybrid.

Did you install it after pushing? In Root Explorer, go to /system/app, locate the .apk, click and select "install". It should work after that - it will show up as "Phone" rather than dialer.
Yea I tried going in there and click it and Install. But it give me an installing Error.
Worked fine for me - after putting them in the system/apps directory, then installing the DialerTabActivity.apk . It shows up as Phone in the apps list.

[MOD] Fascinate and Epic 4G lock screens

I ported the Fascinate and Epic 4g lock screens to the Vibrant, killed
the battery full popup, and installs the MobileAP mod.
this mod is for the stock UVJFD firmware!!!
and close to stock deodex ROM's
the mod replaces the following files
android.policy.odex/.jar
framework-res.apk
services.odex/.jar
Settings.apk
your battery icon mods will disappear because of the framework-res.apk
replacement.

Ok just so I know, my phone says my baseband version is T959UVJ12 with kernel version 2.6.29. I did not flash any roms but I did update the modem and GPS files from the J12 rom....can I still use this even if it requires the JFD rom?
I already had the earlier version of this mod and you keep out-doing yourself! Thank you untermensch!
Great mod. Thanks.
Hey would you be up to helping me import this into the i9000 JH2 build?
Let me know, I can send you the de-odexed versions of the files.
Thanks

You should be fine to use this mod with that setup, the incompatibility only rears its head when running full JI2/JI4/JI5 roms, since at the very least, framework-res.apk, android.policy.jar, and services.jar were updated/modified in those roms.
cheers
Nice, modified it with the files from the blue circle battery mod, and it's working good so far
... now I just need to implement the kill for the battery status full message.
*EDIT* Crap!, the battery charging animation doesn't work *EDIT*
Damn, I did a full JI2 flash to my phone so I can't flash this. I was looking forward to flashing it, oh well
untermensch is my hero!
Getting a text message while the Epic lock screen was set caused me to bootloop.
Pretty pissed.
EDIT: running fine now. Probably not the mod's fault. Who knows.

more info to recreate the issue.

Likewise, I played with this earlier today and had no FC issues when receiving texts using any lockscreen.
Just to double check, try clearing your cache and dalvik-cache, and to triple-check, you are running a JFD based rom, right?
This won't work on any of the leaked JIX series rom's, including the new Bionix 1.5. It also likely won't work on any of Eugene's hybrid of franken-twiz series rom's.
Cheers
yep, running JFD. didn't see it happen, just know that I heard a text come in, and then when I went to check it a couple minutes later, it was already bootlooping.
I have notifications from the stock messaging app turned off as I use chomp. Do you think that could be the issue? (I see you have the stock messaging app in your screenshot)
Also, I went back looking for the old zip with the Glass/Androind/Fascinate lockscreens and saw you'd taken it down. Is that one still available anywhere?

[MOD] Phone calls on CM10.1 / AOKP 4.2.2

Hey guys, this is my first post on the forum.
Many people got phone calls on stock ICS, then changed to 4.2.2 and lost it
But while seeking the forum, I GOT IT AT LAST!!
Although, it has a bug, which is when u receive a call and slide the call button, as soon as u press it it says "unfortunately, the process com.android.phone has stopped working", but it might work perfectly on other ROMS
I tested it on Infamous ROM http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2220912
Here it is :
Format System (No data wipe required if ur reflashing same rom)
Install ROM, Gapps, and the file attached
Fix permissions (just incase)
Dont reboot untill u do all of that, as in dont reboot in the middle of the procedure.
There u have it
Please tell me if it worked
EDIT : works perfect on infamous 1.7.2, just extract the zip file, paste all the files in their place, and keep the phone.apk untouched (keep the original phone.apk Cruz it works)
P.S : i really appreciate Khomsn for making the CM10.1 build with phone calls, but that build is REALLY laggy.
Thank you everyone.
P.P.S : u have to flash i9103DXLP2 modem (has to be that number specifically) really important to do, link : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=40754968&postcount=15 (thanks John Kester )

Consider installing gapps that contains a phone apk after which you flash the phone fix above. Your tab should make calls flawlessly but know that the speaker is set to off by default so you have to activate it when making a call.

i'll try to put them in another zip and reply.
BTW: i've got a build of infamous aokp with phonecalls "without the need to do anything" but i think im gonna need permission to upload it.
But for the time-being, i think installing the phone.apk like a normal app will work "iv'e tried it out of curiosity and it actually installed )
but i still don't know why com.android.phone keeps FCing after opening mobile data in settings or when answering a call. Anybody got any tips.

You must decide if you want to use Google IncallUI or Samsung InCallUI. Samsung InCallUI will allow too still receive and switch to video calls and the google IncallUI will only support HD calling. To switch to google IncallUI goto settings/applications click on default applications choose calling app and click on the blue phone app. To switch back to samsung IncallUI is a little more complicated. You will need an app like root explorer and goto data/system/users/0 and then findthe setting_secure.xml and delete and then restart phone. This will restore samsung IncallUI as default
You will also want to turn edge features off since everthing is deleted
Also you need to goto SuperSU app and goto settings and click on enable su during boot and also click trust system users
Goto this thread and under Recommended Next Steps find the S7_or_S7Edge_Fixes_V15.zip or latest version and flash to fix kernel lage and doze fix.
Goto setting/about phone
Click on build number 5 times to enable developer options
Change animation and duration scales to .05 this will speed up phone
You will also have to change charging/file mode from within developer options
Remember Wiping Dalvik cache will cause phone to take up to 10 min to boot on deodexed roms
If using samsung IncallUI here is a fix for call phone FC and also location service fix

@jkruse Thanks bro appreciate your efforts. One favor, do you know where the Olympic theme is located on your first Rom? (Which folder?) I'm going to extract it from the other version and install it in this one. For some reason its not on the Samsung theme store.

I didnt mean for my reply to come across rude. I just thought since the OP looks like the other one you thought it was the same. This is basically nothing but a bootable rom with like 5 apps installed thats it there are over 180 running apps removed. I kind of thought it would be cool to be able to build your rom how ever you want it without having to worry about what you can delete and what you cannot. I appreciate the support especially on new development. Understand I have many threads and and other devices so i sometimes keep my answers short and direct especially when using the mobile app which I hate using.

Ok, that is what I thought. I just was trying to determine if there was anything else major missing from that other ROM, knowing some apps would have to be pulled or installed, hence your "Playstore" moniker for this ROM. Ok, this is a good clean base ROM for those who like to order "a la carte" down the road when the need for other features are required. I may give it a spin for the fun of it.
Cool! We are good.
sweet idea
Inb4 crazy high battery stats
Just finished flashing about 4 minutes ago. Still suck on the white SAMSUNG logo. Is this normal?
UPDATE: Took like 8 minutes to boot. Runs fine.
Downloading now. Been waiting for something like this. Cheers.

I'm using the Google incall with no issues at all. Probably no need to flash if that's what you're using.
So far the ROM is nearly perfect.
Having some MMS issues again. It only works when Wifi is turned off or not connected to a network.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. I even flashed your fix it ZIP.
Hey I'm considering installing this ROM because I live the minimalism of it. How's the performance? Anyone mind posting an AnTuTu score?

I actually found one of the battery saver apps to be causing the issue. I think it was amplify through xposed, it caused the mobile data to turn off when connected to wifi. So, i turned it off and haven't had an issue since.

[CUSTOM ROM][TWRP][A5 2016] A510F - AOSP - MKROM | Almost Pure [29/1/2017]

WARNING !!! EMERGENCY CALLS DON'T HAVE ANY UI, U CAN"T END THEM !!!
Hi,
This ROM is based on Kyubi UX, and modified by me!
I allmost come to an AOSP version of Android, the single except is Settings app, but this will change tho to stock android settings app in the close future.
This is the first ROM I share, and it's not a .zip to flash, it's a backup to SYSTEM and BOOT partition, more easy to extract for me, cuz i don't know others methods.
System UI it's not GraceUx or TouchWiz, cuz it wouldn't look as aosp. It's Good Lock, by samsung too, but it's very nice and customizable, also look as AOSP.
Here you can download the BACKUP folder: http://www.mediafire.com/?57yi1tp2ozufoh6
-> Just unrar it, and copy BACKUPS folder into your phone in TWRP folder!
If some reasons, SUPER SU say that there is no su binary, flash this: https://download.chainfire.eu/1001/S…perSU-v2.78-20
!!!! ONLY TESTED ON A510F !!!! I AM NOT RESPONSABLE FOR ANY BRIKED DEVICE!
Here you can see the ROM running, and the first step you need to do after intial setup!
Before you make any call, make sure that you set as deafult the phone app, to do that, you need to go in Settings -> Aapplication -> 3 dot menu -> Default Application -> Call -> Check Phone | If you don't do that, when you make a call, it will call but u can't see any UI and you can't end the call.
THANKS TO:
Samsung
Chainfire - Root
Kyubi ROM
OppenGapps
Tesla Coil - Free Nova Launcher Included

Awesome, but what is the base? And where is the source code? I think that you have to post the original source if you didn't make the rom completely by yourself, but don't quote me on that.

Well so the title of this thread is wrong?
Hello-o
Thank you for your rom, i just have a question.
I'm curious, but how did you enable cover art album lockscreen ? What did you modify to do this ?
This is a feature i really love but Samsung disable it.
EDIT: Ok, i just saw that i didn't have this feature because i activated the custom lockscreen wallpaper in good lock, and we can't make it work both
No, it doesn't work, unfortunately
As soon as loads, it says "com.android.phone stopped" infinitely, freezing this app also doesn't help
how install?
I haven't understood how to install it. I extracted backups folder in twrp folder (system/emulated /0/twrp right?)
And now? What do i have to do?
hi

Can You Do that?

Let me try to explain

In your TWRP folder there is another folder call( Back up).in that Backup folder will be another folder by default just numbers eg:3300e77aa157.....,that is where you should paste the the files after you unrar.:good:
Could you add support for switching superuser? currently the only option is SuperSU and i'd like to switch to Magisk.
So...where is the stock settings?
