16/32GB Micro SD card and files over 4GB

Well as you know the galaxy s internal card is formatted to fat32 so it can not store files over 4GB. I plan on using the internal for system based stuff like backups/ apps and stuff. So i plan on getting a 16GB or 32GB card for all my music and videos and stuff.
My the problem is i have a few videos that are over 4GB (cbt) and wondering if i can format the new card to a format that can hold 4gb or more like ntfs or ext4. I would prefer ntfs but will the phone understand ntfs?

Does the Nook support MicroSD cards formated in the exFAT format?

I need to get a 13.2GB file on a 16GB microSD card I have that's manufactured formatted to FAT32. I could format it to exFAT in Windows 7 to get around FAT32 4GB file transfer limitation but I'm not sure if the Nook will be able to read a microSD card formatted in exFAT.
Have anyone attempted before?

How to transfer files larger than 4GB to SD card?

Title says it all. How to transfer files larger than 4GB to SD card? I tried formatting SD card to NTFS but my 2X refuses to accept SD card in that format. Is there any other way?
Thanks!

format using exfat(windows) , or ext4(linux). fat32 cannot transfer file more than 3GB. since kowalski kernel already support exfat and ext4 already support in cm10.1 by tonyp

Is it possible to format external SD card other than FAT32?

Hi,
I've stock ICS (rooted, with Kowalski kernel M1) on my P990. I've a 32GB SD card, and I wonder if I can mount it automatically with ext4, NTFS of exFAT file system. Currently it only accepts FAT32, anything else will be unmounted automatically.

I know for sure that NTFS does not work.
eXFATshould work... You should check if there are patches for this.
Is your current card with Fat 32 working with Windows PC, this will check if your card is not out of order.

Hi,
Since its a MTK processor , does it support exfat format to the external sd card?
in other MTK processors I had, it never supported exfat or ntfs. only fat32.
