Hey guys I'm a newbie androird user, I've a Moto X with CM12.1
The thing is, I open the Phone app, I start dialing, everything fine, but when I tap to start the call, the apps starts like "lagging", I can't even hear what's going on.. Then some folks call me and I can't hear them..
CM is my first custom ROM, I tried BlissPop and I could make phonecalls flawless, then I changed to CM12.1 again.
I've been looking this problem but apparently its not common.
Hope you could help me, thanks

Hi all,
Friend and I both have the Incredible S, loving it! He has a slight issue and I can't for the life of me solve it. Everything was working fine but now when he has an incoming call and the screen is off the incoming call screen flashes up briefly then disappears and device shows normal 'desktop' - you can't answer the call!
If you call his phone and the screen is active, incoming call screen pops up as expected and you can answer call.
Any ideas peeps?
Thanks
Ant
Hmmm,
I'm having the exact same problem. Running Fresh Evo on HTC Evo. Would love to know why this is happening. Any ideas?

Never worked it out, friend did factory reset in the end to fix it.

Bummer. Here's some info:
Latest Fresh EVO
Rom Manager
Rom Manager Janitor
Juice Defender Ultimate Juice
Titanium Backup Pro
Cachemate for Root
ShootMe
Adfree Android
adbwireless
Call Control (problem before this, though)
Launcher Pro
Any hints?
Having the same exact issue. This sucks... This started today for me around noon ( no calls before then), and has persisted throughout the day. Yesterday was fine.
I use Google voice for all of my calls.
The only thing I've done today that I haven't done every other day was that I installed the Gtalk app this morning. In the past, I've used Gmail directly. However, my computer was off during at least one of the phone calls I received today, so I can't imagine this could be it...
Perhaps because I installed gAlwaysIdle (an addition to Gtalk that makes you never go idle or always be idle) as well?
Does this correspond with anyone else's experience?
I'll probably just reflash my phone
<Rooted Atrix 4g running GingerBlur>
hmm this sounds like a serious firmware problem tho..
all i could suggest is flash a firmware that the most of the ppl are using, and dont got probs with...
well doing a good reboot seems to help alot these days. So disable the fastboot option en turn it off, wait a while (10 secs should be enough) en start the device again.
Also had some of the trouble like crashing things and this solved it for me. Give it a try and hope it will fix it.
Otherwise there seems to be no other way than a factory reset (go htc!)
hi everyone, i had upgraded my 4x HD to jellybean by LG pc suite and it seems very good, after 2 days a big f*** problem appeared, when i call anyone or received a call, at any time ,i can hear the another person and he can't, it may be takes 20 seconds or 2 min then the line cut out. this problem appeared after upgrade the mobile to jellybean. if there any solution for that ?????

I had the aame problem, and some other members too. We narrowed it down to voip communication (Skype , viber) causing the issue. I recommend kitkat roms, havent had any issues on kitkat regarding that.
A workaround is to trigger speakerphone, then back to normal, mic should work again for some time
i tried to do factory reset and nothing change :s :s

I'm on kk and skype gives a lot of problems, it crashes during calls without a good reason to be closed -.- Phone Calls close in the same way when I turn on wifi or data connection
Hi,
Just having some issues with my note today. For some reason other side can hear me fine when making a normal voice call, but when using Skype, Viber or even trying to give a voice command to google it just won't listen.
The mic is working since voice calls are working just fine.
Does anyone have any idea what could be the problem?
I'm rooted with DK 4.1
Thanks!
I had a few issues with DK including mic issues. Like people couldnt hear me when I'm doing wifi calling and all those messaging programs also. Long time DK user since Note 3. I tried FireKat and now everything works, including Titanium (no stalling when recovering apps).
Thanks. I'll give this a try.
I'm on DK as well.
For me the issue creeps up after one phone call.
On clean boot it works fine and I can shoot videos or use Google Now etc. without issue. As soon as I initiate a call and the other side starts ringing I can hang up and never get mic functionality again for anything but phone calls.
From what I can tell it stems from a SuperSU binary change back in December. Why it only affects a few of us I don't know. I posted about it way back in December within the DK thread. How I attributed it to SuperSU is at the time I rolled back to an nandroid backup that worked and then applied one app update at a time until the issue creeped up again.
About a month ago I messed up and said yes to binary update on my phone . . haven't bothered rolling back to a backup though . .
Been planning on doing a full on wipe of the phone but decided to wait to see how things play out with LP based ROM updates.
Thanks for the details. I just moved to firekat and am really happy with the ROM
So I finally took the time to do a full wipe and install Dynamic Kat 4.1 clean and my microphone issue is resolved. Happy camper now.
Hello, all. I'm new here and I'm also a new Mi Mix user. Luckily, I have another daily phone because I am having issues with incoming calls and dialing out. First, when I get a call, I can hear the phone ringing, but there's no notification on the main screen so I can see who's calling. I'm not even sure how to answer the call. I think I've been hitting the phone icon to answer, but not sure if that is what has helped me answer the call. Shouldn't there be an answer or ignore option that I visually see somewhere? Also, I don't see any option to hang up the call. I'm guessing, my Mi Mix hangs up after the caller has hung up. These things seem like simple things that a smartphone should do nice and simple. Why am I having an issue with seeing who's calling me, issues with dialing out, and issues figuring out how to hang up. Please help me. Thank you.

Hello. Please mention your current rom version, modifications you've made, etc. to get a better help. Otherwise some would suggest you to clean flash the rom or something like that.
Besides, it also might be caused by a theme(If*). Change it to default. Also this post has to be posted under Q/A forum(only and once).

Hi. I am very new to this particular phone, so I am new to things like ROM and flash. I bought the phone used. The seller listed is as not having been ROMed at all, but maybe it was. How can I tell what ROM I have? I also would not be opposed to clean flashing it since I would prefer it to be new (so to speak) when I purchased it. I have already factor reset it and wiped it and then rebooted it, but not sure if that is the same as cleaning the flash. Please advise. Thank you for your time.
I got the issue fixed. Thanks for your efforts.
I have a problem with my new 11t pro. Stock Rom MiUI 12.5 purchased in Viet Nam, debloat some app (all in suggested app to debloat). I've use this phone for 2 weeks, and sometimes when im making a call, the other side cannot hear me at all, and i can hear them. This occurs occasionally, i think about 1/15 calls i make. This only happen when i was the one calling, receiving calls is totally fine. I've tried turn off "Hey google", no use. Tried "True phone" dialer instead of Phone by Google, it happens less but still there. Please help!

Try resetting the phone and reinstalling the rom like that you will be sure it is not a software problem.

Im doing a Factory reset first without debloating to see how it goes, only been 1 day but so far so good.
The proximity sensor is one of the weakest point of the phone.
During call the screen used to turn on and unfortunately the mute button is the first what I used the press with my ear..., so the microphone get muted.
I seen many people reported the same issue.
Check it before making hard reset!
