A couple of months ago, I bought this smartphone unlocked from Amazon USA (I'm from Argentina). After getting it, I updated it up to 4.4.4. Now, I'm on 5.1 after following this guide: http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-x/general/how-to-install-5-1-lollipop-moto-x-t3089594
Now I want to comeback to the stock rom so I can get the official 5.1 update but I'm not sure what rom should I get. How can I know that?

Normally I would suggest BEFORE you flash away from Stock, on the phone you first go App Drawer -> Settings -> About Phone... Make note of what is listed under System Version, Android Version, and build number. Then visit one (or all) of the sites until that host the leaked SBF files until you find the SBF that matches and down load the file to your PC for use later.. The file name will usually contain parts or all of that info listed under settings, and possibly the carrier name, or acronym for the carrier name (Verizon might be VZW, Rogers Canada might be RCI, etc).
But seeing as you are no longer using your stock ROM, you need to provide us with some details...
1. Who is your carrier?
2. Was the phone you purchased from Amazon branded for your carrier, or was it "Unlocked"?
3. Is there any model info imprinted into the lower portion of the back case (in very fine print)?

1 & 2. My carrier is Claro Argentina but I bought the phone unlocked in Amazon, no branded.
3. It says XT1050. I guess that's the model. I tried to find a 4.4.4 room for that model but nothing.
Thanks for the answer.

Can you boot the phone to bootloader mode and tell me what you see on the 2nd line?
And I've only seen 4.4.2 leaks for XT1050, and also they were for regional carriers in the USA, so possibly not what you need.

30.B7 is the bootloader for a 4.4.4 ROM.
So you don't want to flash a 4.4.2 rom on there.
At this point, unless you can find a Stock Moto 4.4.4 XT1050 SBF, I would just sit with your phone as is.
I mean, you could try finding any XT1050 4.4.4 SBF and flashing it, but I've only seen one SBF for XT1050, and it was 4.4.2. So you'd risk bricking if you flash it, or if you take an OTA after you flashed it (since gpt/motoboot on your phone will be the wrong version). And even then, I'm not sure if it has any "carrier specific" settings in it.
Maybe You'll get lucky if 5.1 SBF's start leaking, and we'll see an XT1050 SBF.

Ok, thanks for the help. I think it will be better to go for a custom rom like CM.
Hi all,
I got a Moto G (2014) XT1068 phone which has dual sim slots and although cards are detected in both slot gets no network.
According to the receipt it was bought at a retailer and should be unlocked - repair from manufacturer was refused because the phone had been altered. So currently I can try to recover the network service on my own ...
The phone has an unlocked bootloader and a custom rom installed named TP 1.1.0 retde
Android: Android 5.0.2
Baseband: MSM8626BP_1032.3105.93.00R EMEA_DSDS_CUST
Kernel: 3.4.42-StellarKernel_RC_2.1-*
System: TP 1.,1.0 retde
Build: LXR22G
Since I did not make the modification I guess the ROM does not support dual sim mode.
I so far flashed the current TWRP 2.8.6.0 to have a custom recovery that should work with lollipop.
I also flashed the bootloader for the XT1068 model in case that got corrupted.
So far nothing helped and I am currently downloading the 5.0.2 stock ROM for dual sim phones:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-g-2014/general/official-stock-firmware-t3018682
Is there anything else that might be wrong to prevent the phone from using the gsm network after the sim got detected ?
Do yo have the correct APN settings
Hello, i've been looking everywhere and i can't get an answer, i have this moto g 2014 (XT1063, single sim) on lolipop 5.0.2, the thing is than i want to downgrade it to kitkat 4.4.4 since i've lost aprox. 2hrs of battery life, but i can't find an exact copy of the same rom i have now(lolipop) on 4.4.4, this one works with any provider except Nextel, so i can put in it a Telcel/Movistar/Iusacell sim on it and work with no problems, it didn't include any provider apps
System Version is: 22.41.16.titan_retla.retla.en.01 amxmx
Compilation number is: LBX22.99-16
Can someone tell me if such rom exists, and if not, which one should i use to downgrade it and not lose the ability to use any sim?
Phone is already Rooted and the bootloader is unlocked.
First the the ROM never lock/unlock the phone bands.
If your phone is factory unlocked and don't work with some carrier it could mean that band isn't supported
I think any titan retla.retla will work but downgrading is always risk checkout for a downgrade guide
Hi all.
I've been trying to get my Moto X (XT1053, Asia Retail) to stock. I flashed a ROM for the US accidentally, a while ago. Now, I've lost my IMEI (*#06# says 0). Fastboot is still able to display the correct IMEI(3*********). Anyone has the stock ROM that shipped on the Indian version? I tried one but the bootloader won't downgrade.

@Uzayr @Megatron007 guys please help stuck with same issue
Flash the correct factory image for your phone. XT1053 is not asia retail, it's US GSM.
XT1052 is Asia Retail.
So I have an Moto X (XT1097) from AT&T, I was triying to update to Android Marshmallow with a Brazil Retail. I read that that was an easy form to do it so I flashed my phone, the software starts completely normal but my phone signal was not available. The phone just doesnt detect the SIM card. I tried to install another modem but accidentally I flashed and downgraded to KK I think. So here is when the phone just bootlooped.
I've read a lot of this phone It says that I just cant unlock my bootloader, because of the carrier (AT&T).
Another thing is that the phone in fastboot just says "version downgraded for boot" and "failed to validate boot image"
I've tryied with a lot of retails and versions of android but it just doesn't boot
