Classic case of bootlooping.
Recently used Flashfire to install rooted stock version of Lollipop 5.0. After trying to reinstall X-posed framework by flashing through flashfire, phone became bootlooped at At&t logo, remaining bricked after factory reseting and clearing cache.
Used odin to try and downgrade back to a stable version of 4.4 kickat. However, phone now bootloops after shuddering at samsung logo, before blipping to black screen with blue indicator light permently on. Trying to install current version of OTA rom through default recovery made no change. Suspecting bootloader my be root of issue, as trying to flash stock version of 4.4 bootloader in odin fails.
Currently looking for options to simple get phone back complete factor reset at this point. Links to other threads that have already solved this problem welcome.

If you installed the 5.0 rooted then I'm guessing you seen this thread. If you have the s5 then scroll down to the notes section and flash the nce downgrade file in odin. That'll put you back to stock.

Flash in odin 3.09 in the ap slot
Don't flash this file if you took the ota to 5.0 or if the phone came with 5.0 on it. You will brick the phone.

Hi. I'm new to the forum but not new to android and samsung. I got greedy and impatient and wanted to load the lollipop G900T update on my G900A. I got root with the OA1 update, installed busybox, installed safestrap. Tried to install G900T update, but the phone rejected it. Thought I could be even more adventurous and install cyanogenmod so I went into safestrap and did a system wipe, which is where my problems began.
Here's what I can do:
-go into recovery
-go into download mode
-install files from odin
-see the battery charge animation when the phone is off
Here's what my problem is:
as soon as i start the phone, i get the galaxy s5 logo powered by android along with the giant unlocked lock that says custom (busybox or safestrap i assume). then i see the samsung animation and then it freezes. then i get a black screen with the pulsating blue light at the top of the phone. my guess is that it was soft brick so i tried to find every guide on the internet to reset it and it still comes back to that unlocked lock and freezing animation. as probably few of you have experienced, i began to think the worst - should i sell it for parts? is there a religious ritual? what am i going to do?
Here's what i've tried:
-following these http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2785363
-flashing stock from sammobile
-doing both along with a nand erase all function
-attempting to install the BL file from the first link (fail)
i know the g900a isn't particularly a developer-friendly device with the locked bootloader and att being att, but please tell me there's hope. i can supply any odin logs you want.
p.s. if it helps, i get the fused 2 binary 1 when i try to flash sammobile stock file. or the bootloader file from the first link.
U can try by starting here.

The general section had quite few good threads on updating g900a.

Head over to this link http://forum.xda-developers.com/att...to-root-g900aucu2aoa1-4-4-4-2-3-2015-t3021120 and download the G900A_Downgrade_to_NCE.tar and flash via odin. Take the 2 ota updates and your phone will be all fixed. THis will delete all of your data though.
Thanks! I posted a similar issue after I downgraded from OA1 to NCE using the stock NCE bundled with 4 files. It is important to use the downgrade, not the 4 file NCE stock.

A couple more things because of the G900A locked down bootloader you won't be able to flash any Lollipop Roms until ATT drops official update.
You also CANNOT flash any ASOP Roms or custom kernels.
gentlemen!
i followed your advice and flashed the downgrade rar. sat in my chair with a frown as i waited for it to load until i heard the infamous at&t tone, the screen light up, and the 'connect to wifi' screen come up.
blessed! thank you! i promise to be patient and always be grateful to the xda community. many thanks again!

Hello, I'm terribly sorry if this is the incorrect place to put this; but I'm desperate. I flashed hyperdrive on my galaxy s4 active NH3, and it booted the rom before I could flash the master patch, and the su update zips. So now im stuck with an unrootable nh3 galaxy s4 active that runs hyperdrive rom fine, but my wifi doesn't work, and I can't get into safestrap to flash the modules, because I can't root to install safestrap. Someone please help me, I can't reinstall my stock rom with Odin right now because my computer isn't working. Please help and thank you so much
The safe strap splash screen doesn't show up at boot? A safe strap ROM should not uninstall safe strap iirc.
Just because the app isn't in your app drawer, doesn't necessarily mean safe strap is gone. Reboot and check if it's still there, it should be.
The splash screen doent come up at all. It just says "samsung galaxy s4 active" and where the ss screen should come up, it automatically boots into the rom, displaying the rom boot animation and booting into the rom

Every single solution I can think of either requires root (lol hardly a solution, huh?) or consists of, "Odin back to stock." Are you able to use Odin at all?
Even if you don't want to Odin back to stock NE3, I think the W0lfdroid method should still be able to root your phone while on hyperdrive, just like on stock NH3. I.e. flash the root kernel to your phone via Odin, boot and run towelroot, Odin flash the NH3 kernel, boot and install/run superSU.
I'm inclined to think that method will still work because for any rom to work on the i537, it automatically has to be compatible with our stock kernel.

Thank you, ill try that method. I wont be able to get my computer fixed until the weekend so im suck with no wifi or camera until then. Im still very confused as to why it did all of this. When I flashed the rom in ss, the aroma installer launched, and at the end I pressed next and it froze, so I had to take my battery out a place it back in. When I rebooted I expected to see the ss splachscreen so I could proceed to flash the masterpatch and the camera and wifi fix but it just booted right into the rom boot animation and then loads the rom. It continues to do this, so I have no safestrap now. However I do have the safestrap apk saved on my sd card along with the towlroot apk incase I ever lose root while flashing a rom and my wifi doesn't work such as the fist time I flashed hyperdrive with my NE3.
Anyways thanks a bundle
I can't seem to find out how to fix this problem. and was wondering if someone was able to help me. I updated to stock lollipop and changed roms to DomPop 2.2.3 and wanted to flash a different lollipop rom, but ss wont boot anymore once I use the NC2 flasher app. It just boots to a black screen, and wont do anything else. I have try using Odin and flashing the NC2 kernel that way, but it doesn't help. Once I reboot the phone in download mode I can flash back to OC1 no problem and use the current installed rom, but can't get ss to work. I have uninstalled busybox and ss a couple times, and it gives me the same thing. Would Flashfire be an easier alternative? Otherwise, would I use odin to flash a different rom/files, and get ss working that way?
I would just Odin back to NC2 and use @walterwhite's lollipop rooted Rom just make sure you install Supersu, busybox, an SafeStrap before upgrading to his lollipop an you should be goldin'..

I got it to work using that method. Thank you for the help.
My note 3 was rooted on oc1 for a few months, then about a month ago it started randomly rebooting during the day. Sometimes it would boot normally, other times it would bootloop until i cleared the cache multiple times. I then went into safestrap to clear the cache and dalvik, and that ended the random restarts for about a week until it started happening again. To make sure it wasnt the sd card, i swapped sd cards and even removed it entirely, still was getting random bootloops. I got rid of the root and reverted to 100% stock oc1 using the 4 odin tars, then i upgraded to oc2 stock. Still, i am getting bootloops even on a stock rom. What are my options?
Were you getting bootloops on OC1?

Yes, my oc1 was rooted and i was getting bootloops. Now that i reverted to stock oc1, and upgraded to oc2 using OTA, i am still getting random restarts and bootloops.
Could you post an "about device" screen shot that includes version, baseband, kernal, build, and security

Awesome. Could you also link me to the files your putting inside odin? Have you checked the files md5 to make sure they're correct?
To get to 5.0 OC1 originally, did you downgrade to 4.2 NC2 then root with towelroot, install supersu, busybox, safestrap, then flash rooted OC1?

i used the individual wipe tars from this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/note-3-att/general/100-stock-lollipop-5-0-n900aucueoc1-t3069609
When i rooted i did downgrade to nc2, did towelroot, supersu, busybox, and safestrap then flashed to oc1 rooted.
Give this a try:
* Make sure to check the MD5s to ensure they downloaded intact. I use http://www.winmd5.com/
1. Downgrade to 4.4.2, using the Full Odin Tar., then root with towelroot, install busybox, safestrap, supersu.
2. https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=95784891001615211 (N900AUCUCNC2_Full_Odin_Tar)
* Make sure you place this in the odin PDA or AP slot. (depending on which version you have)
3. Now, once your on 4.4.2 rooted, flash this https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=95916177934549604 (SM-N900A_OC1_Lollipop_Rooted_Rom.zip) by booting into Safestrap, factory resetting, and then finally flashing.
4. The AT&T logo will sit there for what feels like forever. This is normal.
5. Let me know if this works.
My S5 is stuck on bootloop at the ATT logo. I tried to flash stock OC4 partitions which passed. I then tried to clear cache and reset to factory which didn't return any errors. I tried many fixes listed here on the site to no avail. The only other thing I can think of is to try and flash the 5.0 OC4 firmware which I cannot find in a tar.md5 file anywhere wih a working link. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
I'm in a similar situation. I did something to the build prop file trying to get viper4android to work. Now I'm stuck at the first screen showing the custom unlock icon etc.....
I have two flashfire backups and twrp installed. How the hell do I boot my flashfire backup? My phone is on 5.0 rooted of course. or was lol
I miss safestrap....
I was able to use this http://forum.xda-developers.com/att...w-to-unbrick-flash-to-stocknce-g900a-t3077652 to get my phone back up. I was on lollipop 5.0 oc2 deodexed rooted rom Muniz_ri made. You can't use this because you're using oc4, but others may.
I was able to use towelroot (after the above flash I was on kk 4.4.2) to root. redown busybox, sd card fix, root checker, and supersu and update binaries. Reinstalled flashfire and restored my lasted backup before I biffed the phone. Just finishing up now, pretty confident it will work again.
