Should hopefully receive my new HTC one M7 this week. My question is, shall I leave the phone on 4.4.3 or upgrade to 5.0.2?
My other half has 5.0.2 on her Moto G (2nd Gen) and it's a bit of a mess really.
Cheers

should my moto x 1st gen dev edition receive the 4.4.4 update?
and if yes, is it worth it?
Probably not, you should be running 4.4.3, I think it will jump straight to Android L when it's made available

Please ignore the above post.
Yes, it will receive the 4.4.4 OTA. There are already soak tests being performed (for the XT1053) so it should be available before too long...
Hi there,
Quick questions for you geeks out there. I have a Moto X with Brazilian lollipop image on it (final soak test image) which i installed based on another thread here.
Since i wasn't on the Soak test list and since this is the same version as the official roll out which started few days ago, will i now get updates OTA ? or do i need to downgrade again to KitKat and upgrade through OTA again? i also read somewhere that i can not downgrade back to Kitkat since i don't have an unlocked bootloader.......help is much appreciated.
thanks
Hi,
Does anybody know where I can find the OTA update file for 4.4.3 for the EU/UK Moto X XT1052? Not 4.4.4; 4.4.3.
Thanks!
you won't get it. Only xt1053 was updated to 4.4.3 all others were directly updated to 4.4.4
Sent from my XT1052 using XDA Free mobile app

Moto jumper right to 4.4.4 from 4.4.2 as 4.4.3 was a mere bugfix.
Ahh that's annoying
4.4.4 has broken the signal display on the Moto X, whereas it worked fine on 4.4.2 but 4.4.2 is vulnerable to hacking?
You realize downloading to any lower version will likely brick your device during the downgrade, or later...
?
With the lollipop update taking time, I'm growing restless and I'm sure a lot of us are! just wanted to know if someone has captured the ROM for the OTA update lollipop 5.1 recently released in Brazil for the 2013 Moto X. also, is it fine to flash it on a Moto X 2013 from another country (I'm from India) if I could get my hands on it?

I recently bought a Moto G 2014 and it came with KitKat 4.4.4 installed. What I'd like to know from you guys, that already have the phone for longer: IS IT WORTH TO UPDATE IT TO LOLLIPOP?
What are the benefits (and what are the losses, if any)??
Thank you for the help.
