Hello guyz
Sony Z1 C6903 - I was updating it via my Laptop to Lollipop.
Suddenly my Laptop turned off in the middle of the updating proccess.
Now the phone starts , Shows the Sony Logo and then a black screen nothing else.
I searched and found the Flashtools but im not sure how to try them out.
Does any one here faced a similar issue?
You phone is not bricked, if your phone turns on, vibrates or shows LED's this means your phone still works. However you have had a bad flash since your laptop switched off. Since you have got Flash Tools, you are going to have to reflash you phone. I am not sure if you had root as you didn't specify, but that what I have said so get you back on your feet, if you are going to root, make sure you get the 108 firmware to flash.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2469191 - Go here and find the right ftf file for you phone.
Install FlashTools and put the ftf file in C:/users/user/firmwares
in FlashTools, click on the lightning symbol and then make sure Flash Mode is enable and click ok
Locate the flash file you downloaded and flash.

Can s/o please point me in the right direction? I have a brand new Xperia TL. I followed the directions on the All-In-One Readme thread to root the phone, which came with locked bootloaders. Then I tried flashing the rom- [AOKP][JB] Xperia T - KangXperiaProject - [milestone 1].
Then the phone turned off, and when I turned it on all that happened was the Sony boot logo came up, then a fuzzy/staticky screen with random colors, then the phone shuts off, and then turns on again, and then the same thing. The battery isn't removable so I can't do a battery pull.
I managed to get the phone into Flash mode for Flashtool, tried flashing a kernel, but nothing happened. I tried all the different key combos to get into recovery, but no dice. I was actually lucky that once it remained stable long enough to flash a kernel, but usually when it's connected to the comp it won't stay on long enough to do much of anything. I also tried accessing the phone with an ADB shell, but that won't read the phone.
I also searched and searched and searched for possible solutions, but can't seem to find any posts (on XDA or otherwise) that deal with this specific set of issues.
Any help would be tremendously appreciated!!
You cannot flash custom rooms that are not stock based with a locked bootloader.
That is because you cannot flash custom kennels with a locked bootloader.
Flash a stock ftf with flashtool to fix your phone.
To do a virtual battery pull then press and hold the power button and volume up button until the phone vibrates

How do I customise the signature on xda premium app?
Thanks for the info. I tried flashing a stock ftf (I think the LT30_7.0.A.3.195_kernel.ftf you provide in the readme thread), but then it just want back to bootlooping.
Is there a different one I should flash? Or is there something else I could do? Meanwhile, I'll try flashing again when I get home today.

I flashed the ftf again- the phone still bootloops, but sometimes it show an image of a phone and the triangle with the ! in the middle- which I know is Download Mode on my old phone (Samsung Captivate). Is this what's supposed to happen? If yes, what's the next step? If not, what else can I do?
Thanks so much gregbradley!

TL version

Thank you gregbradley and hkjr.
I was having trouble flashing an ftf b/c the phone kept shutting off in the middle of a flash. What I did was flash (the T version) piece-meal; I checked "Exclude" for all the components except the 1st, flashed, then checked "Exclude" for all except the 2nd, flashed, etc., and IT WORKED!!
Then I flashed the TL version ftf, rooted it, and all was good. Now it was time to flash a custom rom. I flashed recoba23's Xperia Curiosity V1.2 Rom (for locked bootloaders). That worked. Then I wanted to take a look at TiMiN8R's XperimenT rom. The phone told me that the file finished downloading. I thought it was a little smaller than indicated on the download page, but the phone said the download was complete. Flashed it. Then BRICK. Dunno if it's because the full file didn't download, but now ALL I get is the Sony splash screen (no bootloop, just stays like that). I can't get into recovery and I can't get the phone into flash mode, although the computer does recognize it when I plug it in and I can access the files on the phone.
Any ideas what's going on??
same problem please help =(
I too have the same problem, stuck at "SONY" screen can't go to recovery mode, can't connect to pc, i did the power+up volume button, turns off but if i turn it on same result stuck at sony... I followed this method http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2020796 for locked bootloader, i have the att xperia TL.
I flashed the generic 7.0.A.1.303 ftf
Rooted using Bin4ry's method
Install CMW for locked bootloaders
Enter recovery, factory reset and flash the ROM(STOCK ROOTED 7.0.A.3.195)
and when im going to flash the flashable CMW, i cant find it in my ext sd.. i put it with stock rooted 7.0.A.3.195.zip and superuser.zip, it says "file not found" on recovery after i flashed the stock 7.0.A.3.195.zip so i decided to reboot.. and this happened. Is there a fix to this please help us :crying:
OK, I got my phone back up and running! For me, it just seemed to be a matter of playing around with the buttons and the plugging/unplugging the phone from the computer and/or charging it, and eventually it went into flash mode. I was able to flash stock kernel, root and apply CWM, then made sure that I downloaded the whole file for whichever ROM I wanted, flashed it, and all was good!
fatedcircle9, just try playing around with it. If you can't flash the new CWM from recovery right after you install the ROM, just reboot the phone, attach it to the computer, and install CWM like you did before. At least that's what worked for me....
Hello. I've had an X8 for a while, and I got tired of the MiniCM9 and wanted to go back to Eclair. So I downloaded an original firmware (my backups are lost in a damaged computer), got the last Flashtool and installed the " X8i_2.1.1.A.0.6_Baseband_015.ftf " to my phone. But, now it only loads the Sony Ericsson screen and nothing else. I tried to flash it again several times, but I don't seem to be able to get into flash mode. I press the Back button while connecting, but nothing happens (until I release it, which is when the SE logo loads).
My phone is still responding to the charger and charging the battery with USB, but I can't do anything else.
try repairing using pcc or seus.

Both PC Companion and SEUS require me to press Back while connecting USB (flash) to proceed.

Follow the steps from here. Also download the correct .ftf file(2.1.1.A.0.6), not the baseband ftf file.
Hey guys,
I have had my Z1 for quite some time now and rooted it in the past. Everything was okay. But now, i would like to return it to stock and figure out if I could try using CM11 or Dirty Unicorns ROMs.
I have the right Flashtool and my Z1 is charged up to 89%. But every time I want to connect (phone off, holding down Vol- when connecting USB from PC to phone) The LED turnes red followed by a swift green ish colour. And then nothing. My PC recognizes the phone, installs drivers but then nothing happens. Flashtool doesn't seem to find the phone. Further more, when i leave it like that, evenually the phone restarts.
The blue-"Downloadmode"(?) works though. (Vol+ when connecting)
I'm running a rooted C6903 4.4.4 14.4.A.0.108
Can anyone give me some tips? Or can anyone help me? I've been at this for hours and its really annoying. :silly:
PS.
I'm not new at this. But i think most of you will see me as a NOOb. So please be as explainatory as possible:fingers-crossed:
Install drivers bro for flash and fast boot they are available in flashtool's directory also provide flashtool logs to help us identify the culprit...
Hello Everyone.
I am quite panicky now. It all started out when Lollipop wasn't available for my Region (Middle East) so I decided to flash Lollipop to my phone. Everything went well with me creating a custom TFT file with the Xperifirm software I downloaded. The problem all started when I first flashed it. An error message in the logs of Sony Mobile FlashTool said "Flash failed - Abort" Now the problem is, I cannot turn on my phone. It keeps coming up with the message "Update failed - make sure your phone is connected to your computer and try again". I really need help. I want to get my phone back - whether or not it means changing it back to its original factory operating system version or putting on lollipop
Thanks
try another ftf and flash it with flashtools .you no how to flash so try it again .hold power and volume up till phone vibrates and then slide your finger down to the volume down and hold it till flashing starts again .

Don't panic.
Try creating the TFT file again but this time do NOT include "fwinfo.xml" when creating the bundle.
Have the phone OFF and cable DISCONNECTED, start up Flashtool, select your TFT and when it prompts, insert the USB cable and hold down Volume Down (NOT Power) - if all goes well, you'll see flashing info on your computer and you can let go of the button.
did you unlock the bootloader .then fastboot this
http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-z/development/kernel-unlocked-bootloaders-t3114234
and install the zip lp version and install super su for root might help you .

I think when you packed your rom to ftf you have not deleted the fwinfo.txt file and packed also this with your rom which have difficulties to flash the ftf file. go again with the process of custom ftf making and firstly delete the fwinfo.txt file from your downloaded rom and make an ftf and then try to flash. this will resolve the problem.
@shayan_doust, did you manage to get back up and running? If so, what was the solution?
Solution
Hello everyone.
Firstly, I would like to apologise with the delay of this reply. All I had to do was not include fwinfo.xml into my tft package bundler. Many thanks to the people who have commented in this thread
I now have Lollipop installed onto my Sony Xperia Z!
got an broken D5803 and hoping to fix it with your help.
(i have no clue what happend to the phone so far)
if i power it on, the notification led is red the sony and xperia sign shows on the screen, but after a short time it restarts.
i can turn it into flahsmode and fastboot mode also.
if i turn it into flash mode and try to flash a firmware with flashtool it goes through the process. but when it restarts, nothing have changed. even the version number havent changed in emma or in flashtool.
any bets what it could be?
i am almost shure its an hardware defect. most propably the main board. but i ask myself what exactly could be broken?!
thanks in advanced for any help.
and sorry for my bad english
oh, and i do tried to search for the same problem and had no success to find the same problem.
EDIT: something new happend. i tried the repair function in the pc companion. flashed again. after restart the battery symbol showed up. battery level low and red. but when i connect it to my charger. the "bootloop" restarts...
I had a similar problem.
My phone went to the bootlogo (blue waves) and started to buzz for five till ten seconds and went to a restart (bootloop).
I am not sure, why that happened, but I think, it was because of a russian firmware (downgrade to Android 4.4.4 for flashing a custom recovery and root).
At first, try to fully recharge your battery (recommended for a firmware flash).
If your phone restarts into bootloop after you connect your charger cable, try to hold the power button until you feel a three-times-vibration. Now your phone should be absolutely powered off.
Download following firmware to your computer: "D5803_23.0.A.2.93_Generic_GLOBAL_1286-9917" (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=56138053&postcount=27 or http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=58418863&postcount=358)
If your phone is fully recharged, open flashtool and load that firmware into the flashtool.
The system will now ask you to connect your phone in flash mode with your pc.
Now connect your phone with your pc in flash mode.
I am not sure, but flashtool is asking you a question after the flash mode is recognized. I answered with No.
The flashtool should now install the Android 4.4.4 firmware to your phone.
I hope the steps above may help you.
