HI, I am using three sim (UK) on EE (unlocked) handset and so unable to use wifi calling. Could anyone please guide me how I can install three firmware on EE phone, Is this safe to do? and if there is any compatibility issues.
I have found the latest firmware N950FXXU3BRA2 released late January on sammobile.com.
I am particularly concerned on the CSC warning in the procedure mentioned there. The CSC on my phone is EVR. Is it alright to repartition? Please help. I am a new in this.
I’m getting a note 9 which was sold by Three (3) so I’m guessing it has the H3G firmware.
I’m with EE and ordinarily I’d flash the EVR firmware on older phones but VoLTE and WiFi calling seem not to be dependent on having their own firmware any more.
So question is, do I flash btu or xeu for fastest updates?
Thanks.
Hi, im from Portugal and i recently bought the N960U locked to t-mobile. I unlocked the phone sim and installed the XAA firmware. I now have the device info XAA/XAA/TMB and went from n960u to n960u1. But my question is if I can install another CSC, like XAS, CHA or USC. I have doubts on which firmware to install and would appreciate if you could help me.
THX in advance

you can install any variant of the N960 firmware you like as long as its a snapdragon f/w on a snpdrgn phone. I wouldnt recommend the taking the xaa firmware and replacing its own CSC file with that of a different firmware set even if it seems to be otherwise identical. If youve flashed the U1 firmware XAA version, you shouldnt need to flash a different CSC for it to work.
Hi guys so I bought an overseas S21 Ultra Exynos variant and brought it to my home country. While the 272 method works, I was wondering if flashing my home country's official firmware would cause the AID (third CSC code on software info) to change to the flashed firmware or not. If not, would it change if I flash a different none multi-csc variant firmware first before going back to multi-csc?
Thanks!
Hi Folks,
I have bought a G973U samsung S10 but it is not receiving any updates and I am obliged to flash it with ODIN, I heard that I can technically flash G973U1 XAA firmware on it and it will update via OTA, is this true please ? I have the SPR firmware on it. Thanks for your help.
Depends on the carrier. ATT (I assume you're in the USA?), for example, won't do OTA updates unless the IMEI also matches (and maybe some other switches at ATT that we can't change).
XAA should update on some carriers, at least. My XAA updates on TotalWireless (VZ MVNO)... I've actually blocked them because I want to stay on A11 for now.
I believe you can upgrade via ODIN yourself without using an OTA - just be sure to use the HOME_CSC file because the non-home CSC will wipe your data. Any reason you're not doing that? This way, you can control your own updates and timing.
Hello Sofiene.Saidi, look at the official US firmware here for your model, the best thing for you is to take a model for your European region.

I bought a G973U in Switzerland and it has XAA firmware on it. I think it is an ATT unlocked device but I have never had a single Software Update.

Thanks for your anwser Schwinn, actually it is fine with ODIN but each time I need to flask aprroximately 6Gb of firmware, it is somehow risky isn't it ? Can I flash USC firmware and get OTA updates please ?
If you're in France, I don't think you'll ever get OTA updates.
No, flashing the ROM a few times over the phone's life isn't going to affect the device that much. If you did it every day, then sure... but a few flashes over the life of the phone won't make much difference. I recommend you just do the updates yourself with these files and don't worry about the OTAs, because you are unlikely to get them.
