Hello everyone.
I just received my xperia z and started to use it on the 4.1.2 JB version, surprisingly the battery was reasonable.
I was hesistant on upgrading it to 4.2.2 as the feeling of battery issues, I looked up the update and I didn't find anything with battery drain due to 4.2.2 so I updated it. Though now my battery does go much faster compared too 4.1.2
Does anyone else have this issue and personal experiences on how or if it got better after a while?
Thanks,
JJon

Let phone discharge until it dies, then charge to 100% with phone off, then boot up and charge 1 additional hour. So battery levels will get proper calculations.
You are on non de-bloated stock right?

Yes the 4.2.2 is completely stock no root etc. The phone just came out of the box 2 days ago. So ill let it fully discharge and then fully charge it up so the battery can read correctly

I find my battery lasts a little better on 4.2.2 than it did before. Only marginally but it's a start. I now use a Powerbank Case just as insurance when I'm out on site with work. But I often do get two days use out of it

If this doesn't fix your battery drain problem, rooting, deodexing of ROM and de-bloating (+ perhaps some deep system tweaking..) of bloatware will fix it.

System_server spawns multiple processes, causing memory-leak like symptoms on android 4.3
I used OS monitor app and saw "Android system" process duplicates
Then ram over flows and all the process restarts, making phone unusable, and all apps exits.
@niaboc79 do you think this could be the cause of our ram woes? And could this issue be fixed in your rom?

Hello,
I am on rom CM11 on my xperia z1 c6902 and the battery is draining like hell. I am using set cpu, greenify to save battery but i am not seeing any effect. Pls provide me with some solution. I have also attached a pic of my battery status.
Thanks

How do u consider that draining as hell?
Sent from my C6903 using Tapatalk
The battery drains quickly..while using wifi and playing games or using other apps.

Then i consider ur phone absolutely normal. If u want to get better battery life then u will have to wait for the newest battery technology. No phone at the moment will give u the battery life u expect with heavy usage. Especially games.

My android system drain my battery alot. And it's ridiculous when it's running all apps which has been frozen. It's weird.

I've seen this before, on the official KitKat. Rebooting the phone when it starts happening seems to fix it for 24-72 hours. I was running a rooted DynamicKat rom before and didn't have this problem. I hated that I had to exchange my device and ended up with an official KitKat,

My google play services drain is at 9%. I guess it's normal because almost every app uses google play services.
Mine is around 7% always.

Android system is 16% here, but it depends how much you use the phone. Do you call often?

Here are my "phone"/"android system" readings. I think yours are a bit high. I am on 4.4.4. rooted, with trinity rom.

Try repairing your phone with Sony pc companion if possible. I hope that might fix it.

Mine would hover around 6-9 % which is quite a lot
Its even higher than my gaming which I do once a quick while every hour (clash of clans)
