Hi!
I received this phone from a friend who said I can keep it if I fix it. I have no experience in android phones. I've tried to read other posts on here relating to similar problems but I keep running into more issues. I think it is stuck on boot loop (I can access TWRP and the screen that lists *** TAMPERED*** and ***UNLOCKED*** on top). The phone is s-on. I am using a mac and have figured out how to use fast boot but the phone is not listed under devices for adb. I am completely lost and would greatly appreciate any help. This is the readout from getvar all

How are you using adb? You know adb will only work in recovery mode (TWRP) right?
Fastboot commands only work in the bootloader.
Adb commands only work in recovery or while the device is booted to android with usb debugging enabled.
Unfortunately I'm not to up MAC OS but if your using adb in recovery and it doesn't see the device it's a driver issue or maybe a different version of TWRP may help. Which version of TWRP is currently installed?
The easiest way to get this fixed would be with an RUU. But because the device is s-on you will need a signed RUU from HTC. These are all in exe format and will only work with Windows. Do you have access to a windows machine you can install adb/fastboot sdk on? Or are you stuck with the mac?

Had a stock phone which I rooted without and problems. I then installed 4.06.1540.2 firmware which went through ok.
Now when I reboot the it goes into a boot loop. I've tried going a factory reset but that does not help.
I can get into fastboot and adb shows:
Code:
(bootloader) version: 0.5
(bootloader) version-bootloader: 1.56.0000
(bootloader) version-baseband: 4A.22.3263.14

If I then go into recovery I get the red triangle. Pressing vol up/power goes into the recovery mode.
I want to load the Revolution HD rom but since I can't get into my phone how do I copy it to the phone to install?
I see a few threads where you can do a adb push, but if I do a adb devices it doesnt show my device.
fastboot devices shows the phone though.
Any ideas how to get past this?
I'll do my best to put everything here:
I tried to root/s-off/custom rom from memory, and that is probably why I'm here.
1. I started by unlocking the phone, that was successful, installed a recovery. Started with TWRP, right now I'm on CWM.
2. Tried to install firmware to get that updated, failed, so I installed some random boot.img in my downloads dir.------I think this is where it went bad
3. Coudn't get it to SU, or to install a rom, errors ranged from:
Can't cd into sdcard (only after I copy a zip file into it)
Couldn't use firewater, revone, or rumrunner
Can't install SU4. Tried to flash an RUU but I couldn't find the appropriate one, of course. That failed with sig failures. (followed all the right steps relocked, rebootRUU...etc)
5. tried sideloading, dont know how, looked it up and not super comfortable.
And here I am, stuck. I consider myself pretty seasoned in rooting/romming but I'm stuck.
Here is what I hope is relevant:

Try this link to 4.19 RUU. Follow @Mike1986 guide for returning to stock. The guide is also a great help in flashing, rooting and installing custom ROMs. You have to correct MID & CID to run the RUU. This will put you back at stock with an unlocked bootloader.
Hi ,
My phone is HTC one m7. When I get an OTA update for android 5.0.1, the update process stuck and after a reboot I cannot get into the system.
So I tried to recovery and even factory reset, both cannot work in my phone.
Following the unlock procedure, everything is fine but without a pop-up menu to let me unlock the phone at the last stage.
I have also tried the RUU, but it all reports the same problem (fail in signature verification) based on several roms I have downloaded.
Any help for this. Thanks a lot for your time and help.

Hello my phone's information is listed below. i was trying to set my phone back to stock and the ruu stopped 50 mins while still being on sending 0/5....... and crashed, I was left with a completed blank phone, no data, no rom, nothing on the phone. I am able to lock and relock my bootloader but i cannot s-off. I was able to flash twrp recovery but it wont mount sd card, the logger shows various crashes trying to mount data and cache. I do not know what to do, maybe flashing a system.img file via fastboot might help. Please Help

What ruu version were you trying to flash?
I have an HTC M7 with Bootloader Unlocked and S-OFF. The phone rebooted all of a sudden and is stuck at the Bootloader. I cannot get into recovery. Get an error when i run the fastboot erase cache command. Also not able to re-lock the bootloader or install anything. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have tried it on two different PC's (Windows 7 & Windows XP), but same result. This was a rogers phone originally, but i had changed the CID to run Google GPE on this.
