This will sound weird but seems to be helping people in the dev sections:
Put the phone under a bright light, and hold the power and volume down buttons.
I haven't had to use this particular method myself, but supposedly it works.

htc velocity cant get to recovery and get stock at quietly brilliant logo

i was using a custom rom(cyanoagen 10.2) in my htc velocity 4g with s-off so i decided to go back to the stock rom by restoring the backup using rom manager..i the middle of restoring, my battery went off i tried charging but the red light would go off after a while. I then used an external charger when i tried switching on the phone, i shows the white htc logo and then the quietly brilliant logo and get stock..i tried factory reset from hboot but goes into the white htc logo and nothing happens...and i cant get into recovery im helpless please let someone help me revive my phone

[Q] Stuck on White HTC Screen, Can't Boot Into Recovery

Hey guys, got a problem with my M7.
My phone was working fine. Was getting ready to flash a new rom. I moved the .zip into my root folder.
Went to reboot my phone into recovery to flash it, but it gets stuck on the white HTC screen. Powered off, booted into bootloader. Tried to enter recovery through bootloader, but I still get stuck on the white HTC screen.
Any ideas?
edit: and now, the phone won't boot at all ...

Well I'm pretty sure just copying a rom to the phone didn't do anything to it. what else happened between then and now
Nothing at all. Here's basically what I did.
1. Backed up phone in recovery.
2. Reboot.
3. Loaded rom to /root using computer.
4. Attempt to boot in recovery ..
And that's it.

is the battery dead ?
does the pc load any drivers when you plug it in ?
does the charging lights work ?
Nope, charging lights do not work ... It wasn't a full battery, but was around 70% last I remember.
Ok, was able to boot using the bright light method.
Still no dice on booting past the white HTC screen. When I try to boot to TWRP through the bootloader, it'll show the TWRP splash screen, then automatically go back to the white HTC screen.

Reflash recovery and erase cache
you may have to format data in TWRP and totally wipe the phone.
also flashing stock recovery and doing a factory reset from stock will rebuild the partitions and sometimes make the phone stable again

Can't boot into recovery

Hi I have a HTC one m7 ul
Firmware 6.09.401.12
When I boot into recovery first time HTC logo screen appear saying entering recovery and it restart and stuck at entering recovery screen.
This is happening after I replaced the display. So does it have to do anything with it?.?
Recovery is twrp2.8.4
It was working fine before replacing display

I have the exact same problem, My screen smashed so I got it replaced and when I rooted my phone and flashed a recovery it works fine for that version but I can't flash the latest versions of twrp or cwm because they don't work I get stuck on the HTC logo screen with "entering recovery" at the top
Which version of twrp you're using?
Only TWRP version 2.6.3.0 works for me as far as I know, I've tried more updated versions of TWRP but they dont seem to work for my phone

Boot loop HTC M8s

Hi, after installing this framework (xposed-v80-sdk22-arm64), my HTC one M8s is stuck in a boot loop. Strange detail: The startup screen, you see the moment your device turns on, is the one I only see for the recovery mode. Besides this, it starts up normal, just never reaches a normal state (or fastboot state). I installed the framework in recovery mode. I also (re)installed SuperSu beta (BETA-SuperSU-v2.56-20151030013730) but this version was allready installed, so it shouldn't have anything to do with this problem. Right now it keeps on trying to boot. Can't even shut the phone down. Plz Help!!!!

It is always recommended to wipe cache&dalvik from recovery after flashing Xposed. Try wiping cache&dalvik and report back. If the bootloop still occurs, grab a log file via ADB and post it in the corresponding Xposed for Lollipop thread (I assume you are using it because you use SDK22 = Android 5.1.1).
By the way, there is a newer version of the framework available: v81.
