I took some pictures this last weekend while on vacation and the pictures didn't seem to come out very clear at all. I was going through the photos again today and noticed there seems to be a bug in the photos app that is not processing the photos or showing them in full detail. I can zoom into one of my pictures and right away the phone would clear up the photo and I could zoom back out and the photo would then be real clear and a good looking shot. Scrolling through shots without zooming in and back out made all the pictures look poor quality. Here is an before and after. I tried clearing data on on the photos app and still the same. Anyone else having this issue?

Why is it that, when I look at pictures I've taken in the gallery, they look considerably less bright than when I looked through the screen just before I took them?
Any one else get this?
Hi all,
Sorry to have to post again I have been having great difficulty getting good pictures with the front camera, the weird thing is that when taking the picture it seems a little grainy as you would expect from a 2mp but after the photo has been taken they then change and look really fake looking like I'm made of play dough. I've tried turning all the extras off and it's still happening, help?
Bit of an update, my friend advised me to try getting snapchat as that capture the image straight away and it doesn't go through any processing and yes it's true the pictures taken using this are better.
Is there any camera app that doesnt do the processing as this is what seems to be ruining my pictures. I have tried the stock app, instagram and also pixlr.
For a while now, I haven't been able to zoom in/out properly using camera apps that I've found on the app store (particularly Z Camera and Camera360). The problem is that when these camera apps are open, the image you see does not zoom. So if I pinched zoomed (or even used the volume keys to zoom), the live view you see does not zoom. However, once you actually take a picture, then the zoom actually shows up. Here's an example to hopefully clarify the problem:
Using the Camera360 app, I pinch zoom to 8x but don't take the picture yet. The live picture view on my screen stays at 1x even though I zoomed to 8x. Then, I take the picture and when I view/open it, the image is truly zoomed in to 8x.
As you can probably guess, this issue is a bit frustrating since you can't really tell how much you've zoomed in/out until after you take the picture. The strange thing is that the stock camera app works perfectly (no zoom problems).
I have a Samsung Galaxy S4 Active-i537. This problem existed when I had UCUAMF3 (4.2.2) as my firmware. I've done a factory reset, and that didn't solve the issue. I just installed UCUCNE3 (4.4.2) in hopes of fixing the problem, but that also hasn't helped.
Any ideas as to what's causing this issue and how to fix it?
Hi everyone, I have got some camera issues in my pixel 7. I bought Pixel 7 few weeks ago and today I noticed weird effect when taking a picture of printed document. The text in the very centre of image is sharp, but in the direction to the edges it is blurred and distorted. You can clearly see a shadows behind a letters. Do you have any idea what is going on with this camera?
Pixel 7 distortion in the camera image
Because of the focus features and the camera software optimization of the photos taken by the Google cam, it is maybe not the right app to scan documents.
Check out MS Office Lens for better results https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.microsoft.office.officelens
Another suggestion is Adobe Scan if you're having issues with text. It's what I typically use for this. Personally, I've never had any issues with the camera taking shots of text.
I face this same distortion issue while using adobe scan app too. I also noticed that google camera is over processing selfies mainly to an extent that the original photo is way better than the processed photo. How to overcome this? Kindly suggest ideas.
