When I bought this M7 from CL, it doesn't have a sim card in it.. which does not matter to me as I am using only 3G (Evdo). However, this 'No Sim Card' notification is quite annoying.. you can't simply cancel it like other notifications.. I intended to disable the entire the notification for whatever the app is. Then I found it was from the Phone App as shown in the second picture. Otherwise, I would lose notifications for missed call/msg, etc.
Anyone knows how to eliminate the 'No Sim Card' notification on the left top of the screen? Thanks.

While trying to install a dual SIM card on my Tilt, I noticed a two-way toggle switch that would hide behind the SIM card when inserted. Anyone know what it's for?
The user's manual shows nothing.
That is probably the switch that lets the phone know the sim door is locked.
Ah, yes, yet another mystery of the universe is solved. Thanks.
Well, here's the story:
Every time I get a text message from my voicemail (and only from voicemail) it is stored on sim card, not in the phone memory. When I delete it, the sms disappears (which is pretty normal) but then mysteriously reappears after a soft-reset (which isn't normal). When I use my sim card in a different phone I can delete the message for good (it doesn't show up again in my TD2). You know, asking friends to lend me their phone 'cause I need to delete an sms is a bit weird.
So, the question is: is there any way to delete the sms from sim card PERMANENTLY without removing the sim card from my phone?
I had exact same problem with my TD2.
Raised it with Orange UK support, they could not fix it so eventually sent me a new sim which fixed the problem.
Thanks for advice. I'll try to convince Telfort to change my sim then, free of charge Hope it works.
I am using 2G/3G/WIFI on my M7. The message of "No Sim Card" is quite annoying. I long pressed the message and learned that the app that generated this notification is "Phone", just as the picture shows. I know I can uncheck the box to disable the entire Phone notification. However, that's not a best choice as I may miss other Phone notifications.
Anyone knows how to get rid of "No Sim Card" notification? Thank you.
Is the SIM card making a good connection? This phone can have an issue with the SIM card coming a little lose. The solution has been to add a little scotch tape to thicken the SIM card which in turn makes it a tighter fit in the slot and holds it in better.
Novice with Turbo XT1254 on T-mobile wants to ditch "SIM card is not from Verizon"
I bought a XT1254 after some light research showed it working fine on T-mobile. I just got a T-mobile SIM last night, and was worried it wouldn't work, but skipping through the "This is not a VZW SIM" message at startup actually let me go through without activating (using WiFi option) and it picked up the T-mobile SIM and connected to LTE pretty quickly. I have not tested full connectivity yet. One thing I'd like to resolve is the constant "SIM card is not from Verizon" notification I have. I'm new to all this, so I don't know if this is something that can only be fixed by/after rooting the phone, or if there are some less drastic options that would allow me to remove this and other VZW bloat. Can anyone help a new guy out?
Thanks.
There is an Xposed module called NotifyClean that might be able to help you out with that. However, that would require the xposed framework and installer, which would require you to unlock/root your phone.
"One thing I'd like to resolve is the constant 'SIM card is not from Verizon' notification I have"
By "constant" do you mean some kind of notification always at the top? or just when you boot the phone?
Here this video will help:

That fix is temporary until you reboot your phone. Permanent answer seems to be to root your phone and remove that app.
Greetings,
This is really odd, and DO NOT try what I did if you don't understand it after reading this post, it may damage your phone!!!
Alright, I have two sim cards in use, one is for data only. So I was looking for a more convienient way to enable/disable that slot and the tool I used is called "shortcut maker" from google play.
I find a shortcut under "Settings"-"Settings Activities" named "Mobile networks" with a detailed Class Name reading as "com.android.settings.network.telephony.MobileNetworkActivity"( later on I found a similar one "com.android.settings.Settings$MobileNetworkListActivity").
When I opened it , both of my lines are listed there. This place is not accessable through ordinary system settings menu, so I call it hidden menu.
So I entered one of my line, and saw an option to turn off "Use Sim".
Everything just changed after I touched that switch. when I turn it on again, the other sim goes off, and if I turn the other on again this one goes off automatically and seems that I can only choose one line after then. I tried many times to enable both line together but no luck
Although these two cards appears very normal in original system settings both under "mobile networks" and "sim card manager" except signal icon show forbiden signs (crossed circle).
Further more, the lines can ONLY be brought up from that hidden menu, and if I turn it on or off in "sim card manager" it will not affect at all.
what was worse is that I found both cards are automatically turned off if I power off or reboot the phone. I have to enter the shortcut to enable one before I can use one.
I also tried to reset networks but not working.
I cannot do a full recovery this moment as I will need to move many of my app and data.
I wonder if any of you guys has seen such problem or familar the usage of such activities and maybe with the knowledge of what data has been written to system so that a cure can be developed.
Thanks in advance~
What exactly did you want to do?
In system Settings - Connections - SIM card management you are able to select the preferred SIM card for phone calls, messages and mobile data. See my screenshot (although I have installed only one SIM card ATM).
