Hi,
I'm new on the forum, but I search for couple of weeks to resolve this problem, and sadly it occurs over and over again.
It occurs on Cyanogenmod 11, 12, now I have LiquidSmooth 4.4.4 and still occurs.
It is good for less than hour (when running) then volume just go down, tracks gets changed etc.
I have also CWM 6.0.4.7.
I use PowerAmp as main music player, but it occurs on any. I have original Samsung headset. But it also occurs on Roccat Skyva heaphones.
Is this software, or hardware thing? This really is annoying, I must know, because if this isn't fixable I must change phone asap. I need to have good working music player. I run alot, and need for it music.
Other info, I use also endomondo in the same time. But much earlier this problem wasn't present.
I don't know what I can do more to fix it. Any type of "super" reset, extra wipe, I don't know, go back to stock rom?
Please help.
Regards,
Kamil.
Going back to stock also doesn't fix anything, on stock it was even worse.
Can please anyone help?

Ive installed the latest cyanogen mod rom and i have been using it for a while. There are a few bugs i have noticed through my use of the phone and they are kinda getting annoying.
First of all i have noticed randomly while i am listening to music the music app that came with cyanogen will freeze up and then it will start again but after it does that there is no sound. And when i force close the application, i use the controls on the side of the phone to change the volume and it will only change the media volume not the ringer volume. to fix this when it happens i have been having to restart the phone and go on from there.
Another bug i have been noticing is when i turn the phone to vibrate mode using the controls on the left of the phone when i recieve a text i do not get a notification. I would excpect that it would vibrate as well.
Another one is that when i am listening to music and i recieve a text it will turn off the sound similar to the first bug i talked about. It says it is still playing but there is no sound coming from it. To fix it i have been having to restart the phone.
To listen to my music with my earphones i have an adapter and some times when i am using that the phone will go into a reboot loop until i take out the adapter and then once the phone is back up plug the adapter back in.
These are all quite annoying and i would like to see if you guys have any input on the matter. Thank you
I don't think that any of these are platform bugs, but rather are cyanogen bugs. I suggest you post bug reports to cyanogen's bug tracker.

Well i thought about that as well but i looked at the rules for the bug tracker and i am currently in the process of making more accurate bug reports for the bug tracker. I came here to see if i could get any quick fixes or to ask if these are common things or i may just have to format my phone and reinstall cyanogen. So yeah i hope i can get some feedback from other users. I may just have to format as i said but i hope that there could be something else i could do. dont want to just go to all that trouble to not get it fixed.
edit: I looked further into the bug tracker for cyanogen and i dont have the required materials to make a report as i dont have a log of the issue. its just something that tends to happen.
Its happening alot today and well yeah its getting really bad, i dont think there is anything wrong with my phone. So i think i am just going to format and reinstall a new rom. idk if i will stay cyanogen or not. anyone have any recomendations for the rom i should install?
Super D is pretty awesome. It's an improvement on the Cyan roms. So you get Cyan plus some extras.
Could i get a link to the correct version i should use?
Yep here is the link for Super D
thank you installed it and i am no longer having any issues. Wonderful
Hi Guys,
I do have a really strange problem with my Galaxy S i9000. It randomly plays music by itself without opening any player. I can never know when it starts and even if I kill all tasks and most of the services (all I can) it won't stop. If I open the player it does not show any active playback. I can stop the playback if I slide down the upper status bar. I also can adjust the playback volume normally but it is very loud even on the lowest level.
In fact, it is always the same song (no mp3, it's a FLAC) which is located here:
/mnt/sdcard/external_sd/MP3/Paul Kalkbrenner...Berlin_Calling(FLAC)/14...
Some guys in a Moto Droid Forum already experienced the same problem with 2.1:
hXXp://androidforums.com/motorola-milestone/64497-music-playing-itself.html
I have no idea what I can do. I did not test/hack a lot and the phone is set up pretty fresh and clean.
Froyo 2.2 (JP6) flashed with Kies RegHack
Root done with ]SuperOneClick v1.5
OCLF V2+
All installed Apps are major ones and well know. So nothing special, spectacular or risky. Does anybody know what the root cause of the problem could be?
I do hope there are some ideas what I could do. Of course I could uninstall the built in player, move or delete the file but that wouldn't be a "real" solution or explain what happens. Please help! Thank you.
Best regards,
DvP
related issue
weirdly enough I had a variant of this until very recently, when it just suddenly stopped happening.
In my case, the music player would repeatedly restart itself, although it wouldn't actually be playing a track. By repeatedly I mean every time I picked the phone up I'd check running apps and find the music player there. This was on a brand new, completely un-tampered-with phone.
I went to JPM via Odin recently and rooted the phone and then the behaviour stopped.
Is there any way how I can find out which process is playing the music? I could try to make a video when the song runs again to show that no application is running at all if that helps :-/
I have Darky 10.2, before 10 RE something and its the same. Player is randomly freezing all the time. If I install differend player (like winamp) its the same... Any sugestions?
is this while using headphones? if so, the problem is a loose connection with the headphones -- I tried several different payers thinking it was software related only to find out it is a physical connection issue with the headphones plug
Just tried: its the same on "speaker"... 2-3songs and its freezes :/
Edit: listening to radio is working just fine...
I've encountered the same problem with my i9000 sgs.
I've both with and without headphones.
What happens is my sgs will go into sleep mode then shortly after it will hang and I'd have to restart. However, if i keep the phone on, there are no issues. I initially thought it was a problem with SetCPU. I uninstalled it but the problem still persisted.
I'm running speedmod k15i t13 on 2.3.3 GB, base version XJV9.
Also, i do experience a problem where the alarm clock function of the clock regularly does not sound at all. I've read that it is because i cleaered my RAM after setting it to go off, is that true? (Sorry for thread jacking just wanted to know whether it is related)
Bought Galaxy Note. Working without problems^^
Hello everybody,
I have been waiting a bit until posting this issue to see if future nightly builds of Cyanogenmod solved the problem but to no avail, I already posted on their forums but so far no one has been able to figure out the problem... not that they tried.
I'm using an international Galaxy note (n7000) and these issues have been popping up since last month.
The main problem comes up when using the android keyboard and listening to music at the same time, the phone just seem to struggle a lot, music begins to stutter and usually the phone just becomes unresponsive and I have to force reboot the whole thing. A pain in the neck. Lately the phone just hangs whenever it feels like it and I have to reboot it, it usually happens twice a day.
Sometimes you're able to come back to normal after a few minutes but rarely.
The problem was even worse while using SwiftKey, now I'm back to just using the normal android keyboard but still the issue pops up almost every day. I already did a wipe data/factory reset, no avail.
Any thoughts on this?
Thank you in advance.
Post a log. Which ROM where you on before flashing CM.
sounds like a memory leak, try newer versions or trace down the issue. Check which apps consume most and cpu when it occurs.
Check as previous poster said logfiles

CM 10.1.3-N7000 bluetooth issues
Hello,
I'm using CM 10.1.3-N7000 and I really love it, but I'm forced to use another ROM, just because of the carkit compatibility via bluetooth. The sound is extremely bad.
Does anyone know if it's fixed in later versions or earlier versions?
Are there other ROM's, ot based on CM without the bluetooth problem?
I'm really searching since two days now to find a bluetoothfix, but can't find it.
Pairing and so on is no problem at all, it's just the soundquality that is terrible. (it was not the case with my stockROM)
thank you for giving me some advice!
I switched to Omnirom and I think the problem has been solved now.
If I see that the same problem is back as it was with CM, I will come back to that.
Hi there !
I have created this topic because the problem mentioned in the title is getting me mad !
I am under CM12.1 (Lollipop 5.1.1) 21-09-2015 nightly build, and I always experimented this problem : when I plug in my headset (JVC), Google Voice Search keeps randomly popping up, at any screen. Everytime. Forever. Of course, music stop playing.
I thought throwing a brick on my phone would make it work again, but no. Just kidding
It is not the headset's fault, because I have tried it on other phone under CM12.1, and it was OK.
The only "workaround" I found is to deactivate the Google app, and to remove the search bar of the main screens. But it sometime happens despite that, and I would like to use this functionality.
Seems that the phone keeps thinking that I push a button on my headset, but it does not have any !
What do you guys think ?
Other problem certainly unrelated :
- On this build and later, the back (only !) camera is really, like really, laggy, quite unusable, both in photo and video. Happens in all apps handling camera : CM camera app, snapchat, etc.
I precise all of these problems do not occur under stock Sony ROM, and that all the solutions I found online were not helpful.

Since you did a dirty flash (OTA update), the first thing I would do is back up everything you care about, wipe, and clean flash the firmware. This will probably fix the camera issue.
It may also fix the headset issue, but I think it may be related to the physical headphone jack. You tried the same headset on a different phone (was it also running CM12.1?) and didn't repro the issue, so that just leaves your specific. This doesn't sound like a software issue, but since you should wipe to fix the camera issue, maybe you'll get lucky.
Thanks for your answer xasbo.
Sorry for the latence of my answer, I switched back to CM11, because all is working perfectly in this ROM (latest SNAPSHOT).
I did not make a dirty flash of CM12.1, it was a perfectly clean install, but the problems were always there. Apparently it seems to be related to CM12.1, because the stock Lollipop ROM for Xperia Z1 doesn't have those issues : only with CM12.1 (and CM12 as well).
I do not understand why this is happening, but it is making the phone unusable for music, camera, and even 9gag (lol).
I was not able to test my headset on another CM12.1 ROM because none of my related or friends have a custom ROM (arghh), I only managed to test it on other android phones under Lollipop, but only stock ROMs (Samsung S4, and Wiko Idontrememberthemodel).
Is there somebody who has the same issues with CM12.1 ?
I've read some other stuff since related to CM12 on these phones. Look for a CM thread in either General or Q&A. There is talk of both camera lag and a "headphone fix". Maybe these are what you need.
