Try searching for the correct version of gapps for your rom on xda and downloading to your kindle go into TWRP/CWM recovery and flash the gapps zip file that you just downloaded without doing a factory wipe .

Hello, last night I decided to install cyanogenmod 12 on my phone. I had it and the gapps package working, and I decided I wanted to install SuperSU. After I did so, the play store, and google play services were not working on my phone. I tried reflashing both cm12 and the gapps but they are still not working, and claims my device is unsupported. What should I do?
I will provide any additional details as needed.
Thank you.
CM 12 is already rooted so you don't need to flash SuperSU.
You can wipe your system etc. and flash the Rom & Gapps again.
i have a 7 inch amazon fire tablet 2015 5th generation i installed the slimlp 5.1 android rom with flashfire and i also installed the google apps mini for it and it was working fine and then i rebooted it now its stuck at slims boot logo ty.
if it wont boot fully your only option is to return to stock and start again. just get the right amazon image 5.0.1 or 5.1.1 depending weather you upgraded after purchase. and sideload through stock recovery. (there are tutorials out there, just google it). it won't wipe data either so all your apps etc will still be there. then just root and use flash fire to flash slim and gapps again. just a thought, were you refering to the slim minigapps linked in op? or another?
Hi,
My sister is running the N2aos (CM10.1 N2aos) and I wanted to see if I could flash CM 12.1 on it. I'm assuming I could update TWRP, wipe the storage, then flash CM 12.1 + GAPPS? It seems that the N2aos did install TWRP 2.4.4, according to TWRP'S app. I don't see the tate model listed on TWRP'S site, but I do see otter model. Can I use the "Amazon Kindle Fire (1st Gen) (otter)" TWRP on the tate build? If so, can I use the TWRP app or Flashify app to update it? Then can I update a N2aos version of CM to CM 12.1? Thanks guys!
So I looked at the forms some, and i'm assuming that she already has the "2nd bootloader" if it has TWRP. I'm assuming the custom Tate version of TWRP is posted here (not TWRP site) http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=39872298#post39872298 . I'm guessing shes all set, can be updated, and doesn't have to worry about the 2nd bootloader and all. So I'm looking at downloading TWRP from that site, booting into current TWRP, and have it Flash the new TWRP from within TWRP. Then wipe and install CM 12.1 +GAPPS. Thoughts?

So I went ahead and downloaded the TWRP that was made for the Tate model, on the thread, and it successfully installed. Then I wiped it, installed CM 12.1 and gapps. And it all went smooth. So it seems that N2aos does everything the same. So if you have N2aos installed, you can change the ROM and update TWRP. If your scared to work on the bootloader or gain root access, you could use N2aos and update from there. I hope this helps others
[ROM] AICP -LP-10.0 Amazon Fire 2015 (Ford) (24-07-2016) by cbolumar is what I flashed after rooting Fire 5.3.x with Kingroot and replacing it with SuperSU.
Wanted to flash SU after flashing the rom as the instruction suggested, but root access was gone by the time the rom was flashed. Thus, flashing anything with FlashFire (ChainFire?) was impossible. And now I'm left without root access and Fire that's been factory reset multiple times.
SuperSU gives "binary update" error.
Installing Google apps doesn't work. "Unfortunately, google stopped working" error keeps popping up. I tried every possible Gapps version.
Going into about device, it says android version 5.1
Why isn't TWRP an option for Fire 5.3? Amazon recovery is limited and sideloading pretty much anything on the custom rom is impossible. It gives "verification check fail" error or something close to it.
Will try adb sideload 5.3.2 firmware later and post here.
This thread is to keep track of the progress. Any help is appreciated.

- you can reload/sideload FireOS 5.3.1 (no lower) without bricking
- bootloader remains locked with no other exploits that permit writing to the recovery partition - hence no custom recoveries (eg: TWRP)
- Amazon removed ability to boot a custom recovery from fastboot starting with v5.1.x
- loss of root after initializing AICP has been previously reported; suggest flashing SuperSU concurrent with ROM
- might consider CM 12.1 which has proven popular on this device
It worked! I downloaded and sideloaded firmware 5.3.1 linked somewhere by sd_shadow?.
rooted. flashed CM and Gapps.
hi,
is there anyway to install Cyanogenmod on fire tablet 5th gen 5.1.1 as i've tried rooting it and using Flashfire to install the zip file and following the procedures online and once everything has been wiped and the cyanogenmod zip and Gapps zip are installed it stays stuck on the cyanogemod boot screen and just stays there. is there a way to fix this?
thanks

Likely not wiping partitions prior to flashing CM. Read/follow guidance in CM 12.1 thread...first post in particular.
