Hey guys,
Sometimes when i type or play angry birds, or do anything in landscape, i lose complete sensitivity in the touch screen for a few seconds.
So i only encounterd it in landscape mode and it lasts for a few seconds and then it responds again.
I got the phone yesterday and it runs 2.2.1, has anyone encountered this
(It happened twice while writing this message)
Cheers

I've not had any problems. I've always found the touchscreen very responsive. Had my IS now nearly a month.

Hmm this better not be a hardware defect

Ok very stupid, but when you slightly lay your singer over the touch buttons, the touchscreen will not respond. What I do is lay my finger over the search button,
So mods, you can lock this thread

I've started noticing a lag with turning the screen on when my phone is left idle for a while. It's about a sec long and sometimes it's instant. I've Googled and read articles like crazy but no fixes and read it's just a note thing. Any fixes or tips? I've already disabled double tap home and debloated like crazy and turned off magazines.

Turning off the ripple effect, and the lockscreen sound helps a smidge.
Lockscreen is turned off.

Go to developer options and turn off the 3 animations
Thanks but tried that also lol. Might do a factory restore and see if it gets better.

Is it instant for yall or is there just a ever so slight pause between pushing button and fully turning on? Maybe half a second to a second.

About half second the screen turns on and I can see my wallpaper. Another half second later the clock and unlock pattern shows up.
Is this normal for our device?

It's faster then the original note I had.
It's because the device has to wake from deep sleep and load stuff. If your lock screen is off, it is having to load your home screen. You may have more on your home screen than what is on the lock screen. I always keep a pin based lock on all my devices. That way it doesn't have to load too much when coming from deep sleep.

Anyone know how to get the lock screen and or the launcher desktop to go to landscape?
I never thought you could unless it's a tablet. Sometimes on my s4 it glitches but I haven't seen anything for it on the s5

There is a app for auto rotation on the play store. It will rotate the home screen and app drawer. It is called screen rotation control. It is a free app

Using Nova I got the home screen to display in landscape, but not the lock screen. i'll look around the play store to see if i can find a solution.
The app works on the lock screen.

I've searched but can't come up with anything on this........
On the home screens if you gesture your thumbs like your opening up quick theatre as if you were on the lock screen, all apps disappear. What's the purpose of this action? Is there something else it should be doing instead of making the apps disappear?
Is there anyone that knows?

It's simply so you can see your wallpaper background without apps covering it. It's not a hidden app feature\gesture or something like that.
