Installation:
First of all you need an working custom recovery. You can get TWRP from here or from here (recommended).
Wipe System, Data and Cache (from TWRP -> Wipe -> Advanced Wipe -> Check the System, Data and Cache -> Wipe) (see attachments)
now go to Mount and unchecked the System. (see attachments)
Now install as normal zip.

Probably will but you won't be able to use 3G but I'm not sure about kernel

I've deleted 3g functions such as Phone, etc.
You can add them from original ROM. Should work.

Even if this ROM is smoother in UI my SOT time is almost half of what it was before ... Hm or maybe I'm misjudging things and I'm using the tablet just more often.
So far, no complaints. I just hate touchwiz though. I got this tablet because I love my Note 8.0 so much and wanted a smaller tablet that I could stuff into my back pocket and go. I was quite surprised to find no CM for it though but this ROM is light enough that it doesn't bog it down. Video playback seems very good so far as well. Nice ROM dev.

No this is not. Jelly bean only for this tablet... And only touchwiz. This is the smoothest of the 2 or 3 roms that are supported for this tablet IMO.

Oooops, just experienced the Samsung keyboard bug present in XXDLH9 (keyboard blocks with one vibration and after a while debock with 3 short vibrations). Any way to fix it?
Thats wierd i never had any problems with keyboard upto now..Did you do a full wipe?also wipe dalvik cache..maybe a third party application you installed?
Try disabling keyboard vibration will also save you battery life :]

This is very fast and very stable ! I, too have the problem with Samsung keyboard, I changed to Swiftkey 3 and all is well. Very nice work - thanks for sharing - I will be using this for a while ::thumbup::

I got a new Xperia Z and updated it with the Stock 10.3.1.A.0.244-ROM.
Since then, My battery life seems to have dropped quite a bit...
So... I'd like to install a custom ROM. But I'm a completely newby, what I want is a fast, clean device with a good battery life - I dont need to much stuff on it.
Any suggestions?

I'm not sure any custom ROMs will save you much battery. The stock one isn't bad if you set it up correctly. Custom ROM will give you a different look and feel to the UI though.

In terms of flashing custom code to get better efficiency, I think the DooMLoRD Kernel is probably your best bet with some undervolting action. I believe this only works with stock or stock based ROMs

I was also wondering the same thing... I got an unlocked xperia z yesterday for a blackberry z10 (which I did like) but this phone is nice... I was wondering which rom to go with??? I have a nexus 4 which I love dearly and I like this phone too... I just feel like I'm missing something... I love paranoid but I want to still be able to use PlayStation 3 remote... I do own. Sixaxis but like the fact I don't need it... I was also wanting a T-Mobile radio I can put on here and see if I can do better then

Both PAC and Carbon are great to go with Unlocked Bootloaders, In case you want something that has a taste of stock and has sony's special features included you should go with monxDIFIED or EXCELSUS Z. Although if you have got some good bandwidth and some time to kill, I would suggest you should try all the ones that you feel would suit you.
Yeah, you must find the best suited rom to your personal needs.

No, pretty sure you'll have to flash gapps. I have it installed with pico open gapps and it is snappy and smooth so far. There's a few features I miss, but I'm sure they'll add them soon.

Wifi, phone works, wich is Good. On phone, with 2g i've got full signal. I say this because in Bliss, XenonHD & some other roms i got very low signal..

In developer Settings you can enable root. Nothing should Flicker
it works. Not really much settings/mods but it´s stable and fast. Läuft!

It's on Android 6.0.1. I don't know if it's compatible with m8dug but it works with CDMA devices so maybe. You could try it out. Make sure you make a nandroid first

Sweep to sleep is a Kernel Feature. About external SD, did you Mount it right. Also please use Q&A Threads
