Is the mi3 and the mi4 both named Cancro? I am getting my new Mi4 in a few days and I was wondering what roms I can flash...

If not is this the reason why the majority of Lollipop roms for the Mi3 & Mi4 are buggy etc ?
As far as i know, the kernel has been released but partially. Some drivers (modules) has not.
Sounds about right. Thats a shame though. I hope this is rectified for future Xiaomi devices, because so far Cancro devices have had alot of roms showing up on XDA.
I dont think xiaomi will release this kind of things because their goal is make you buy a new phone.. we should skip buying xiaomi devices..
is this the reason devs are facing problem is building a Stable Lollipop ?
I am very confused as of now development of Mi3 is far wider than Mi4 so I have a question. Is the development of Mi3 & Mi4 is same as Mi4 development linked to Mi4 in addition. But there is no such thing on Mi4 forum. So I own a Mi4, can I flash any custom rom and kernel on my Mi4 of Mi3? I am really confused can someone help me out?

Yes u can..as they share same kernel sources
Hello, just a easy question, are all roms for Mi3 flashable for Mi4? Thanks
Yes. It because they do have the same base spec and source code, hence the same code "Cancro".
Although the NFC-related features won't work, since Mi4 doesn't have NFC.
Hey all,
i would like to know if we have some known XDA/Android/Rom/Kernel developers here ?
I'm wondering if the Mi8 (dipper) development will ever start ... and it seems like Xiaomi itself doesn't really want custom development on the Mi8.
They directly releases Kernel sources for SE and the new Poco F1 within some days ... and the Mi8 was released in June and its nearly september and still no news or kernel releases
Hello
I've been a few days without appearing in the forum, and now I see that some roms have the ending in "sprout".
Forgive for not knowing it but ...
What does it mean?
I searched through the different threads, and I did not find anything.
Thank you
Xiaomi changed the code name of the device because another smartphone had the same name. That's it. Now if you want to flash a sprout ROM, you have to use the sprout twrp (official)
i think all the android one xiaomi phones are _sprout. tissot (mi a1) is also tissot_sprout
At terminal was always jasmine_sprout
