P.S. I'm posting in the ATT S6 forum because its for a user I support that is trying this on one.

I found the answer. You can do it, you have to set it up on your Google account page. They generate a 16 digit access code that allows just that app to bypass the 2 factor authentication. Pretty nice.

A big thanx for this, worked just fine moving from HD2 embeded CoPilot live 8 to Android! Even kept all my settings, including destinations as I was hoping since I use the same memory card!
Only thing to keep in mind is to deactivate your license on your "old" device first. Can also be done online at activate.alk.com. Sorry for the missing link, I'm not allowed to post links since I'm quite new here at xda.
@tomj777
thanks, i was looking for this aswell.
Very pleased to have helped. It's worth revisiting the link to see if there is a new version, as us ex-wm users do not benefit from the market notifications.

No way am I paying $5 per month, that's BS !!!
I have 8 unwanted ATT apps on my phone right now !!! (and have to buy one/service to block a number)?
Locked boot loader, no CRs, no way to block individual numbers, low audio can only be fixed if rooted, and there's is other stuff that I forgot.
Not impressed by Android so far, (love the phone). Looks like I picked the wrong year to switch to android !!!
IOS 7 is JB, I hope I don't regret my decision to switch to android. :crying:
What's the big deal? $5 a month really going to impact the rest of your life so drastically? Would you rather be on a limited unlimited network with terrible services, no customer service, lies, etc... The ROM I use let's me 'block'/ignore calls and texts. Not sure if your has that option.

Android is far better than iOS, IMO. Don't destroy your entire experience because of a company decision to charge for a feature.

Yes, you can. No need to install anything. Any new device has a rejection mode for calls and sms.

Thanks, you guys are great.
I made my own call rejection message, but I cannot find how to assign it to a contact?
Also, I see the number is blocked from calling, but what about sms, (which is where I am getting bothered by my x)

Thanks a lot. :good:
I set my phone up using that link, then added it to my favorites.
I use Blacklist Pro from the Play Store. Its free and allows you to block any number from calls and text, as well as private and unknown numbers.

Did you even check message options? If you open your stock messenger, tap menu and settings, then tap more, there is a spam filter you can have off or on. If you turn it on you have to option to block specific numbers that send annoying text or spam. I mean it is massages that you say you want to block so messing with call blocking is pretty much pointless and you should have looked at message settings first.:good:

That 100% bullcrap.
I appreciate your help, but please don't say that about me.
I google, use search features on all sites, roam around in my own settings, BEFORE I ask questions on this board.
Please, please, please, do NOT put me in THAT category of (peeps who are too lazy to search), I am NOT one of them!
Especially since one of the regular senior members here suggested I had to pay att $5 per month for smart limits.
not only is this thread "needed", it should be made a "sticky"

I did a Google search for "blocking messages of the note 3" and the first five hits all had the same information posted on post 9.
So maybe Google or whatever search engine you used in your region blocks some stuff. Or your search terms where not clear enough.
I'm not trying to put you down or anything, it's just took me maybe 3 minutes tops to find the information on Google with those terms.

You are fantastic! Clearly way better than me, (and I'm ok with that).
We should close this site down (and just use Google) !!!
As a matter of fact, why have any forums at all.
You and I both know you can google anything, so why bother having these sites.
edit - guess how I found XDA Developers

Unless you changed it, your username should be your email address. Go to Samsung.com on a computer or another phone, and try resetting your password like was said with your email address. You should receive a temporary password to reset your account through an email, unless you don't remember your email address either.

Why coming back with same question again dude?
Read post 2,3,4,5,6,7,8 that should help you.
There is no "crack" or "hack" for it, wich is good in case someone tries to reset a stolen phone.
Sent from my SM-G901F using XDA-Developers mobile app
I would say it is safe to assume you might as well flush the phone, I don't know how one simply forgets the email they used for their Samsung account... It is one of your emails that you use, otherwise I'm going to say it is safe to assume this phone is stolen and NOBODY here will help if that's the case.

It is NEVER safe to ASSUME someone is a thief / owns stolen phone or not.
He should read all posts I pointed out before here. That should help him.
I also pointed out there is no way or crack or hack for this phone he owns, it is a safety_inbuild something wich is good in case a phone gets stolen.
The person in question has had all the answers from us that could possible be helpful .
So it is pointless and not safe to ASSUME someone owns a stolen phone because you simply can not know that as a fact.
I am not going to discuss this any further with you but I think your posting is shamelessly ignorant by assuming something you can not know or even prove.

Rebble server up ! Our Pebbles still alive !

For those who missed that. http://rebble.io servers are up.
Transition to new server is without problems.
Our smartwatches have still some future ahead.
A lot of folks think that they are still on the Pebble servers AFAIK they have been shut down. How can you verify that you are connected to Rebble?

You need to activate your account according to rebble instructions. And if you haven't used the premium account you are not able to handle canned voice replies and other things like mentioned on rebble website.

224444 is being used to send text message notifications by Google to their list of different users who have opted-in to their SMS notification program. Many websites, mobile apps, and other businesses use their short codes to notify their users of current deals being offered, promotions, coupons, when tables are ready at their restaurants, password changes, and other time sensitive information related to their individual accounts. This is to keep their users informed with up to date information, give their subscribers coupons and deals, and also to verify that the user attempting to make changes to their account is the verified account owner.
Maybe at some point, you registered your phone number to one of Google services (maps, youtube, etc) and they want to keep you informed.
On the other hand, if you didn't do any of this, it may be possible that you accepted some bad cookies or notifications from surfing the internet. In that case, you can uninstall and reinstall your browser. Hope that this could give you an answer to your question ?. If not, you may have to do some researches of your own Google account security settings.

it's normal. Just makes sure you give the permission to send messages and you agree there might be fees related to it.
